Good morning all. Can I just thank everyone who took the time to send me their advice over the holding I have. It was very much appreciated. Hope you all had a good weekend and are fit and ready for this weeks trials and tribulations of TLW Oil......
Agreed, went through too much heartache to get to get to the state that TWL are in today from nearly being ni more, I am going to stick it out, also agree if you are of a nervous position best to take your original amount and let the rest ride for free.

In my humble opinion Bailiff if you are unsure or worried it is best to sell half and safeguard your stake. However I am holding strong. Having gone through the uncertainty of whether the company will survive no way am I selling. Today’s lacklustre performance was due to the shorters holding the line. TLW have great assets and a world class CEO. I am staying put. Good luck to you.
Bailiff
If i might be allowed my two pennyworth...Get your original 45 grand back mate..as a lifelong gambler i know its always best
"to come up for none" Good luck.
Bailiff,
I firmly believe that TLW will go higher - but we are not going to go up in a straight line, there will be retraces. And you mentioned how 1p in SP = £1750 to you - if you can handle the drops then great. But what would you do if the SP started to fall quickly - would you sell making less profit, or would you hold hoping it recovers. I have done the later and took a hit. This is why I think an exit strategy is important.
Bailiff, To give you perspective. I've been in and out of this company over a 20year period. It's not for the faint hearted, so hitting 5GBP is wishful in the short / Medium term, even if a T/O was ever on the cards. If there's money on the table, take some and leave enough to not over expose yourself. If that helps, at the end of the day, you're here to make money.
Jmax and daragh; I don't have a figure in mind to exit really as all the way through this I have been guided by what others seem to be doing according to this forum. There are a few individuals who I respect the opinions of and some that I don't (no secret there). I was told this could go to £5+ a share in time and as I bought at 26p ish (I think) that seemed like a good idea to me....
The money I put in was around £45k having come into that money unexpectedly and not needing it at that time. I guess I have treated this as a free punt. Maybe I should take my £45k out and leave the balance running as a free bet?
You'd be Very foolish to jump ship now, considering the position the company is in.
Bailiff,
I don't think I will have this problem with TLW for a while. But is there a price where you will be happy to sell - irrespective of it possibly going higher? I think you are in a situation where you should be considering an exit strategy.
Okay; I don't need the money at the moment so will leave it riding I guess............
Patience ..... patience ..... patience
One year ago we were complaining as we were bouncing around the 20p range and look where we are now. No one knows what's going to happen in the future as anything is possible. For me I'm going to hold as long as it takes, as doesn't make sense to exit now. Lockdowns are bound to end at some point and Rahul has only just started his 10 year plan and seems to be delivering.
Please be assured that annoyingly for some my good fortune is based solely on good luck. I knew nothing of the company and only invested because a mate told me about PMO last march. I bought some PMO and made money and where i follow the prices of PMO on IG index it showed that other people who held PMO also held Tullow too.......so I bought some as of those as well.......that's it. That is my extensive share portfolio and experience of share dealing.
Bailiff, I can confirm there are no ****tails and sex goddess belly buttons in my vicinity. You've done well out of Tlw given the carnage of the last 18 months. Many haven't. I'm close to break even and intend to watch direction of travel before making any moves. I'm very relieved we are where we are vs the armageddon possibilities that could have played out for equity holders and so am comfortable to hold. No guarantees but I've been impressed with Rahul so far and think with no massive downside risk short term I'm in for the medium term. Good luck whatever you decide
If you are that much up -it would make some rational sense to top slice - I'm not deramping - but this will drift a bit lower with a lack of news. With regard to what I would be doing if I knew the answer. Well at this moment you got 1 out of 3 right!
Bluemoon and Jmax....many thanks for your input here. I have held since late last year (2nd time of buying, made 77% first time round) and am currently 99.7% up on this go. I don't have a huge holding (175k) so every penny move is worth £1750 to me either way. It would just be nice to know if now is the time to sell and move on to another opportunity or hang around for 'something' to happen.
As i type this I realise how it sounds because if you guys knew the answers I appear to be seeking then you wouldn't be replying to the likes of me on a BB; you would be sipping ****tails out of the belly buttons of a sex goddess in the Indian Ocean...............
Bailiff,
I'm long here so the the daily SP movements aren't a concern, but I realise for some they can be disheartening. I'm waiting for news on Kenya, we have been told the figures are being reworked which suggests to me that TLW think this asset is worth more than previously stated.
I think Rahul deserves a lot of credit. He has defended equity holders through this refinancing process and has delivered on his promises to date. We have a deadweight of shorters who now need to decide what to do. Hang around and hope POO falls and Rahul fails to deliver on Ghana or move on. Next few weeks will tell. Either way as a lth, I'll be sleeping a lot better for some time to come.
Thanks Jmax. So, does that mean that unless Tullow 'strike' oil somewhere the price will remain where it is or even drift lower?
The minimal movement in SP, is because the market is forward looking and this was priced in. If those in the know thought financing was going to be an issue this would be no where near the recent SP.
If all is looking so rosy following this bond issue then why is price dropping today? Not panicking or being a "moaning minnie" but just confused as to why.
