Sounds like almost verbatim the lip service that I've been fed every time. I don't understand how you can be "continuously chasing" someone for something for over two weeks (since the first time they used that exact wording to me in an email) and still not have any results.
IG told me it had been escalated after I said I intended to close my account once the issue had been resolved. Its a threat that can only be used once, but at least it resulted in some movement this time round!
raise a complaint with your broker - that alone will take weeks. Mention the new NWF stock got admitted to trading 1 month ago today and as there is no maximum waiting time as an investor your completely held to ransom. If the STEL/NWF has not been updated in your account since the complaint update at least the complaint is further down the line.
Hardy78 , good for you , Barclays still no update as to whats happening , what a joke they are. I called friday and will chase up this Friday . ATB
Latest response from IG. Slight progress; We are chasing our broker continuously and our broker is in touch with the registrar to get the receipt of statements. Unfortunately, we are not able to provide you a timescale on this issue. To let you know, we are handling this case with high importance and has been escalated to the top level. I believe this will be resolved shortly and our corporate actions team will be sending an email with the updates and timescale very shortly.
Agememnon, that it not the info I got from HL - maybe you got someone one their first daybon the job: From me to HL: Hello If the shares are sold through HSBC and bulked with other orders, are the fees distributed among the clients who have bulked together? Minimum 20 commision to HL I understand but a minimum ~110 fee (200 AUD) from DBS Vickers is ludicrously high, or have I misunderstood the sentence and it is implying that the minimum trade value must be $200 AUD? If I was to open an account with another broker could the shares be transferred into that account from HSBC? Many thanks Reply back: Thank you for your email. Correct the fees would be distributed among the clients who bulked together. DBS Vickers will charge a commission of 0.35% with a minimum trade value of $200 AUD. If you would like transfer your shares out to another broker, you will need to contact them directly and check with them on their transfer process. I hope this has been of assistance to you. Should you have any further queries, please view our Help and Support centre or contact us on 0117 900 9000. Kind regards
sxxswe - judging by NWF's quarterly update which was released at the end of April (https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/ann-quarterly-activities-and-cashflow-reports-march-2018.4162858/#.WxP3lFZKjMI), it looks like the next couple of months might be a news rich period. Let's not forget that the Tongo and Tonguma-Panguma licenses which Stellar sold to NWF are just one of three projects the company are working on which were funded by the recent Open Offer and Placing, so i'd say that it's definitely worth holding for news in these.
HL don't allow AUS trading so they taking advantage of clients attempting to charge a AU $200 fee. They would claim this is a custodian fee probably. Would probably be cheaper and easier to transfer electronically that holding to another broker that allows AUS trading.
Surely can't be right?!? HL website states 1% currency conversion charge under 5000. What was their reason for it differing from their standard charges?
Just come off the phone from HL re the possibility & process of selling my holding. Was told categorically that the cost of the transaction would be 20 minimum to HSBC, for setting up the deal, then a staggering 200Aus dollars minimum for the currency conversion!! I had him repeat this in case I heard misheard!! I only hold 6199 NWF shares at original cost of 500. The current value showing in the portfolio is 667 so will need to rise another 30+% to even consider a worthwhile trade!!
Firstly for info, my HL shows the share but I've been told I can't sell till next week. Next just thought I'd open a discussion and ask on what people are thinking in regards to holding on to their shares? If so what time scales and what targets are you looking at? Going to start digging into NWF project plans see what I can find!
register a complaint with IG about the time delay - the shares were admitted nearly a month ago now. The transaction should be done electronically so no reason for the delay. Even Airmail is quicker!
In my latest e-mail to IG I asked if there was a specific bureaucratic/technical reason for the delay, which they chose to skirt around. I shall keep pressing for a proper answer!
I don't believe IG when they say they are in contact daily - If I phoned about my order daily I would demand more than we are working on it especially after 4 weeks delay. This will probably drag on throughout June - investors are completely held to ransom here. Say news was due out in 48 hrs a stock was going to collapse and as an investor you cant sell due to broker not crediting you your stock. You still own the stock its just that IG have failed to give you it - they also refuse to state who IG use to register the stock holding with the registrars - who could assist if they had that name.
Just heard back from IG and got virtually a carbon copy response to what superjim was told. Are the share certs being shipped over from Oz on the slow boat?!?
they probably phoning the Australian registrars UK times when Australia in bed lol would be a reason as to why we are no further forward
From what I can tell, the printed spread of 0.16-0.195 is a false one as the lowest trade was 0.175. Itd be interesting to know what the anticipated news flow at NWF is going to be though.
Contacted IG again just now, very frustrating, just exactly the same update day after day that they are in contact with the Australian registrar but are yet to receive an update on when they will receive the certificates and that they can't provide a timeframe. They just said, "We will get it sorted shortly". Don't understand why they can't get a timeframe from the registrar, that's the most annoying thing, would be much more relaxed if they just said it will definitely be by the 8th June for example. Also frustrating that the spread on IG has gone from 0.20 - 0.19 to 0.195 - 0.16 in the last few days.
to harrang them to get their finger out. Looking at significant shareholders of stock usually nominee account holders are on the list. I just asked what name or label do IG nominee account holders come under - they bizarrely refuse to say.
I will call Barclays on Friday, first day of the month.
just to make you proactive even though nothing will be achieved lol
Im a bit p1ssed off with IG to be honest. The long stop date is the 31st May, so why its now sometime in June is a mystery. The fact they arent responding to the emails I sent last week isnt helping either! At least the NWF SP is holding up and the technical indicators are starting to turn to the positive. GLA
no update, sometime in June expected to be received
Barclays saying the same if it helps
IG arent responding to my emails now, lolz
