Crude,
You mean to say that you have watched the paper value of your investment erode away from the heights of 89p to where the share price currently resides at circa 3p and not sold a single share? Hmm somehow I don't believe that, but assuming it is indeed true, I can't say I would have been happy watching my money dwindle away to almost zero without at least taking some money back. Mind you, you are already a winner because you used the profits to pay-off your mortgage before the drop in share price. I think this will drop slightly below 2p before there is any sustained rise here IMHO. At sub 2p I may have a cheeky buy-in, but anything above 2p then I am not really interested. Good luck.
Jez, you say you won't make the mistake of ignoring Tom Winifrith's advise again...you might want to re-examine what you said. You are more or less saying good ole Tom is the Sage of AIM & whatever he says defines how you should react with your stock market decisions...sounds like the Pied Piper of Hamlyn to me.
Regarding my Sound stockholding: I retain all my shares & have not sold any since that tranche at 89p: I have since added to my holding. I may buy more if the SP declines to 2.50 as that would mean something like £27 million cap & I am happy to buy more at that value. But it is splitting shares at todays prices. I must be married to this stock as two of my best stockmarket buddies Appiamma & Ponkey both sold out. Even much lauded and enigmatic investor come geologist Silverfish sold out around a year ago...some of the more switched on posters may remember his contributions here. So I do take exception to folk (mainly Jones) who think I sold out...I am here for the duration which now means production & hopefully successful exploration!
Cheers & Merry Christmas to all.
Demanding that Parsons ought to leave altogether, is news to me and that's why I have questioned it this morning. Is TW correct? Was there a letter that was sent to MF asking for Parsons to resign?
Trellis, can you answer Jez question. Did you demand the head of Parsons?
Completely understand if you are not willing to say on this BB and you prefer other mechanism for getting the message out.
M
Just like government Leaks....
I have already guessed what the next steps are..
All very convenient
Trellis - somebody in your Group is leaking the letters to TW - or at least it appears that is the case.
I like Tom and others may not. Simples.
Jez you “ respect Tom and his views.”
OK good look with that, you have looked at his history and what he has done in the past.
Jez, by the same token I assume that there are also examples of where the Sheriff didn’t call it right and had jumped on the bandwagon of opinion for his own gains?
Eric - I like to listen to views from both sides: the naysayers and the rampers. It is good to hear what people think and nobody is right and nobody is wrong. If you believe in something, then that's fine. Nobody is going to sway you into believing something that you feel to be untrue. I do however respect Tom and his views. Not only because like me, he is a fellow Old Warwickian, but because he tells it how he sees it. He doesn't mince his words, which is a quality I admire in people.
In my experience of investing in AIM stocks, once Tom Winnifrith has flagged-up concerns about a company, it almost always signifies the path to doom and gloom. Despite what you may or may not think about him, he has an uncanny habit of calling it right. I didn't listen to him when I was invested at MYSQ and it was a costly mistake. Actually, let me rephrase that: I did listen to what he had to say, but chose not to heed his advice because greed got in the way. It won't be an error I will make again.
We have the Moroccan investment fund, royal family, government and the worlds largest oil and gas service company backing the asset. and we have Tom W and his new mates on the opposing side.
Have a look at Tom W Wikipedia page, would not want or be associated with that character. But hay you make choices and now you will be for ever linked to Tom.
Audible, the potential investors who might be influenced by the Sheriff or his posse are probably of little concern to the potential buyers who will do their DD and decide on the merits of the deal.
In for a pound out for a penny, as the new saying goes. The press from the sheriff, only encourage a wider audience to stay away and that only depress the sp further and longer.
Won’t impress the potential new owner either. Sou, turning into a bag full of trouble.
For sure JP has proved he is a vampire. But a contribution like this shows that it just the person didnt have the opportunity to have a role like JPs. And it seems many on this BB are in this same category.
