This is getting all a bit Da Vinci code...
9 OEM's
40=40,000 installed fleet?
2-4-20 I thought that was February 4th 2020 as to the rest Im liking lewbos idea, Colin has been taking about the mirror camera for ages and sees that as the position of all dms cameras going forward. You cant see the camera as its a two way mirror. It will look amazing
2-4-20 = 4 Feb 2020
"The clip of the movie Now You See Me is interesting, as the Netflix write-up states: 'A troupe of brainy illusionists specialize in stealing from banks and giving the cash to their audiences.'"
Magicians, illusionists - SMOKE AND MIRRORS
In Colins last tweet, he started it with 2-4-20. This could be a biblical reference to the birth of the King (and no, I'm not a religious person).
The 9 40, could as Sandy and others pointed out refer to 9 wins followed by the XC40, which will be seen as the King of DMS (or ADAS).
Yeah, oh verily -

TLS,
See openly stated at CMD we are close to 30% market share (whatever market share means).
Im sure Colin is having a laugh at us trying to work out what he means!
9 is the big 9
Ford, GM & FCA in North America (tick)
Vw, Daimler, BMW (?, tick, tick)
Toyota, Nissan, and Honda.(?,?,?)
Perhaps Colin sees us collecting the set.
40% is that the new target, or is that already smashed?
Lewbo, that is a pretty convincing story. Gentex make many /most of the auto dimming rear view mirrors in cars. They can also hide a camera behind the glass. They did it in an Aston Martin at CES, and they turned up in the same Autonocast episode at CES 2019 as SEE. It would have room to see ask of the passengers from that vantage point too.
Note there will be some trees in each forest that we don't get.
But we are still going to need a bigger boat
No, there is going to be a huge announcement in 6 minutes time!
Semicast may be suggesting the DMS is contained within the rear view mirror.
GM had the camera on the steering wheel stalk in the CT6 which is easy to see. He suggests that for the motor out on 4th Feb the issue with sun may be solved, how, move it.
The more you look the less you see...... You wont see the camera now unlike the CT6.
The angle of clock hands at 9:40 suggests the angle as a camera located in the rearview mirror, ie upper right from the drivers face.
Only a theory though....
Sandy - I love a good puzzle - Been trying to figure out the significance of nine and 40. Have tried substituting Roman numerals – IX for 9 and XL for 40 - is he trying to spell out XILINX.
‘The closer you look the less you see’ may well be a reference to the fact that in the past we’ve all deliberately looked for physical evidence of SEE by way of camera etc but now with the chip more likely to be embedded and recent news about QUALCOMM our involvement may be less obvious but more prevalent. Who knows I most likely have got it totally wrong but all will be revealed........or will it???
Sandy, that is where I was going too. We had 9 wins.
We can no longer see the wood for the trees, we are too close to see the clues because we are surrounded by trees they all have clues. We will have almost every tree in the Euro forest , the American forest and the far east forest. Sure there are some unexplored forests, but they will find us
sandy - I like your reasoning, a lot
Sorry guys, but something's really bugging me as to why Semicast has just begun speaking to us in Twitter riddles.
The clip of the movie Now You See Me is interesting, as the Netflix write-up states: 'A troupe of brainy illusionists specialize in stealing from banks and giving the cash to their audiences.'
Semicast's film clip ends with the phrase: The closer you look; the less you see.
Intrigued? I am.
There's also Semicast's earlier Twitter post regarding the Cadillac Escalade's launch, where he signs off with: today's episode has been brought to you by the numbers 9 and 40.
Did I hear our CEO state not too long ago that we already had nine (auto) programmes running? Could that nine be changing to another number 'imminently'?
Now, I know I'm wide open to being accused of adding my sums up all wrong (and, hands up, I understand I'm fully engaged in wishful thinking here) - but - what the hell and why the hell the sudden cryptic speak?
“Captain McGlone, are we nearly there yet?”
