Similar situation to you. Any updates on 212 ex right.
Never dealt with ex right before. Trading212 has not offered anything.
I checked with my broker and yes you can.
Thanks Bbang, nice to have some postive feedback..
Can I now sell my shares I had before the 23rd and still claim my RI shares when it comes into place from my broker?
Many thanks James
Digdeep, that's 15000*20p = 3k easy profit with that 80 to 100p jump. Nicely done
I thought the new shares had been dished out today hence price fell because of dilution? I'm a new trader and have come across an RI before and am unsure of its course..
Why buy now ? U can wait n pick them up much cheaper in a couple of weeks, save your money and buy double the amount of shares after the new shares have been issued
As in ring my broker up? I have already have had a conversation with them and they haven't had anything through yet about the RI.
I've ended you buy 15k more shares without the RI at the moment as I feel like I'm missing out and I'll be taking up the RI on top :)
Ring them up !!
Hiya. Not sure anyone has had the offer yet, I have not with Halifax and just spoken to a colleague who use Barclays.
Don't know if anyone can help me? I use 212 and have had 4k shares for a while but how do I take up the offer of RI? I haven't had anything come through on the 212 app is there something I have to do? Sorry for a silly question.
Many thanks James
Rony, I understand your confusion over the record date. It's an easy mistake for someone to make when they encounter rights issues for the first time. The way the companies announce rights, making a big thing about the record date, is very confusing and misleading for the uninitiated. It's almost as if they want it to be.
Have a little think. Look into what trading "cum rights" and trading "ex rights" means. Think of the implications of the ex rights date not being 22nd Oct (T+2 settlement on 23rd record date). Have a look at the market claim procedure, whereby buyers between 23rd and close on 27th claim the rights off the sellers (albeit their brokers do).
23rd was 5 days ago Rony.
If you bought today and sold tomorrow you will not be entitled to the RI as you need to be on the register by 23rd that's a fact as per the RNS....
Okay thanks poleaxe!
I meant you didn't need to hold from 23rd. If you bought in today's closing auction and sell in tomorrow's opening auction, you'll qualify. Don't listen to anyone who tries to bamboozle you with record dates and settlement times.
Cheers mate. Yes 23rd was a red herring. Have held untill now to ensure qualify for RI.
Believe is a sound company with good future prospects so instead of trying to be too clever and make a few hundred quid here and there on peaks and trophs might just ride the wave for the next few years. No point risking thousands and getting fingers burned. Haha. Good luck to you. Am in at 3 quid currently. RI should be just over 1.
As long as you held at close tonight you qualify for the rights. You can sell your original RR. from open tomorrow and receive the rights. The 23rd is a red herring, as anyone with a smidgen of sense knows.
If your broker has already booked your nil paid rights to your account, you'll be able to sell them too if you don't want to take them up. You should get about 32p less than RR. for them.
correct
I cant see you being able to sell at a decent price it will be in auction and then open at a price people think will be in the 75p area
My understanding is you will still recieve rights issue shares if sold tomorrow for eg if you were holding 23rd October. Be nice to have a more experienced investor oppinion
I would like to know the exact same information!
are we now eligible for the rights issue?
For eg... could I now sell my original holding in the morning obciously providing havent already dropped like a stone and still recieve RR RI shares? Or will the RI shares get sold with the originals.Cheers
