Abstract
Face masks have globally been accepted to be an effective protective tool to prevent bacterial and viral transmission, especially against indoor aerosol transmission. However, commercial face masks contain filters that are made of materials that are not capable of inactivating neither SARS-CoV-2 nor multidrug-resistant bacteria. Therefore, symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals can infect other people even if they wear them because some viable viral or bacterial loads can escape from the masks. Furthermore, viral or bacterial contact transmission can occur after touching the mask, which constitutes an increasing source of contaminated biological waste. Additionally, bacterial pathogens contribute to the SARS-CoV-2 mediated pneumonia disease complex and their resistance to antibiotics in pneumonia treatment is increasing at an alarming rate. In this regard, herein, we report the development of a novel protective non-woven face mask filter fabricated with a biofunctional coating of benzalkonium chloride that is capable of inactivating SARS-CoV-2 in one minute of contact, and the life-threatening methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus and Staphylococcus epidermidis. Nonetheless, despite the results obtained, further studies are needed to ensure the safety and correct use of this technology for the mass production and commercialization of this broad-spectrum antimicrobial face mask filter. Our novel protective non-woven face mask filter would be useful for many health care workers and researchers working in this urgent and challenging field.

Dr C has it sussed ?
@mararab
Sure, exactly my point. You'll not get an RNS out of nothing but even a contract may not be RNS worthy. The point is that all the speculation here is damaging, not only for shareholders but at times it must be very demoralising for all the staff of the company.
In respect of discussion about masks, most of it was nonsense concerned with whether the masks provide protection for 7 hours, more or less, how and why, blah, blah, blah. Who cares? It is evidently a unique product with a fantastic USP and it is also evident that they are selling as many people here seem to have bought them. Whilst there may have been some supply issues, they are, as we have seen more or less resolved so the company needs to find ways to up production, get some major contracts and/or licence the masks. All those things take time but until something is in place, do not expect a RNS. Hold and wait in the satisfaction that you have bought into a range of IP that will reap great rewards for the future.
Totally agree and thank you. I will stay invested as i have done since Sept last year as i believe there is great times ahead. GL BarryC....
like i said.
If you think this is nothing, sell up and move on..
and that's not directed to anyone, just a general view.....
Fair play..
yes i did see that, but it was random news/speculation not official....
I would of thought BOD had something to say about one of their distributors announcing something unofficially...
its the tweets/negative posts on boards, etc that are in fact damaging the image of this share for investors, and the company....
I am well aware of the frustration however....
Plus, the official MHRA RNS is listed inside government announcing available to supply in NHS, dated 9th April !

I am not trying to prove you wrong just commenting that Magnesium had this on their website a while ago.
BarryC a few investors picked up that Magnesium had MHRA approved on their website. Investors emailed and Magnesium confirmed that this was correct.....
Am i missing something ?

MHRA Approval
The Company confirms that the Pharm 2 Farm Limited ("P2F") Pro Larva face mask (the "Pro Larva Mask") has been approved as a Class 1 medical device by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency ("MHRA"). As announced earlier this year, the Pro Larva Mask was self-certified to EN 14683 standards in accordance with Government Guidelines, allowing the use of the associated CE Mark. Changes in the applicable legislation on 1 January 2021 mean that from 1 January 2022, all Class 1 medical devices, which includes the Pro Larva mask, will need to be registered with the MHRA. Following the receipt of the CE Mark, P2F registered with the MHRA earlier this year and has now secured this registration for the Pro Larva Mask so that it will continue to comply with the necessary regulations.
DYOR Barry
Not really Barryc as that was already noted on Magnesium Healthcare website over a month ago....keep up mate.
@DrMicho
MHRA Approval only last week making available to supply Class 1 medical devices into the NHS- Not noteworthy !!!!
LMFAO.
gonga im a longtime share holder on this sp and i m on the fence , we talk on this bb about what masks can do and what i might achieve but the fact is we need a long term contract and this needs to be published on a rns to move the price . So can we we like you say look at the facts , as far as im am concerned no contract no rns simples
@mararab, Exactly how do you arrive at that summary?
you Completely overlook the fact their approved for supply into schools & NHS. That alone is massive !
Contracts wont be announced overnight, but comon!
F.Mcintyre was a month ago - hence we're due news soon !
volz-same!
even the PR links, one of which is listed inside the Government news site refers to the NHS MHRA approval dated only last week.
and even if, the news is a month ago, it puts play to the derampers, with such tones as you have simply done, one sided biased, with possibly second agendas, that this product is being promoted across the world, of which will be pay dividends to those that wish to hold.
Know what I'll be doing !
Bonga there has been no RNS for over 6 weeks updating us on anything noteworthy. Do you think that is the norm? They commented in a previous RNS renewed shareholder communication so you cant really blame shareholders wanting that to happen. Are you invested?????
Yes mararab
Do you know of any company that sends out an RNS daily which is what people here seem to think is the norm. They only need to issue a RNS for regulatory purposes, not to satisfy the whims of speculators. Hold tight, be patient and in the meantime consider, based on fact, whether the company is in a good position or not.
bonga but this is all news a month ago old news
An excellent summary @Barryc999
For once some facts instead of miserable speculation. There's already been one RNS quelling speculation. Many of the comments here are extremely damaging and have hampered the share price and probably put off a lot of investors from what is the makings of an excellent business. Apart from the masks, the company also has other strands, all science-based and all very promising. Whilst the masks might give us a short-term flip upwards, the sum of the parts is far greater and all look good for the future, not only for the share price but also for dividends moving forward.
It would be good to have some more rational posts here.
