Hi all,
The 1450 plan is just to sell one batch from a lower cost (of 1337 + SD etc). I am of the opinion that RDSB will trade in range 1250-1500 for some while. I will keep hold of 2/3 of the shares for the long run, with a further target at 1550 to sell a 2nd batch which cost 1452 + SD etc. No plan to sell the originals as will keep for the modest divi income until I am in my grave most likely LOL. If we have a drop below 1250, would be tempted to add another batch if funds available, but ideally want to keep to no more than approx 10% of p/f.
Keep up the excellent postings guys - I've had a good watch of some of the interviews with the boss and understand we are in a long term plan to shift & modernise with all this ESG bumpf, but oil will not disappear anytime soon. Those prayers of £30 which I had in 2018 are but a distant memory now.
Cheers - CSDI
Hi CSDI1962
It’s my biggest holding ever by a long way too and has tested my patience.
Today hasn’t started well but markets tend to react and short term investors do panic so I’m just going to sit tight
The fundamentals of RDS are sound and much of the problems with SP in short term IMHO is the current frugality of the dividend policy but there’s a clear route out of that as debt will be paid down to target by Summer GLA
Hi CSDI,
Thank you for your comments.
Like Boyo has said why £14.50. Its only a loss when you sell. If your not in a rush sit back and let the price rise and hopefully the dividend.
Shell and BP have ti do something with their profits which will be big for a few quarters...
Good luck either way Mucker....
Hi CSD1962 - I wish you good luck in your endeavours. I'm curious as to why your target is only 1450? I'm overweight RDS having replaced some traded shares recently and my mind is set on about a £1 more than that. I'm in no rush but I think it's a reasonable target over the next month or two. https://invst.ly/ur95d
Just wanted to say Thank You to Neversell.., Barrie, Boyobach and others for the regular stream of information on this share.
It happens to be my biggest holding and headache, as my many prvious postings will have explained my poor purchases going back to £27 in July 2008 etc.
TBH, my shareholding is tiny at 340 shares compared to the serious investors here, but it is a lot to me in my small value SIPP.
Here's hoping for a rise to 1450 as my next target to sell about 1/3 of my shares. Patience required and a long road to (n)ever getting into profit following the cut in divi from 188 USc last year down to approx 68c p.a today.
GLA RDSB holders - traders and investors alike.
Cheers - CSDI (Crap Share Dealing Ideas with smiley face)
