Great news & looks like the business is going to pick up too. Over in Ireland so just picking up on the news now with wifi.
There is plenty of time until the company gives a deadline date. So undervalued and could possibly rise multiple times from current sp this year as out look improves.
Surely it cant be that simple, some big sells today.
Little chance of getting a divi if you're not already in. IMO
What date is ex div?
yes basically as far as im concerned
So effectively 11p share - 7p divi = 4p per share to buy in effect. Is this correct? If so bargain surely!
IMO this is a bargain i will take the divi and basically have all the same shares for just 30% of the cost, get in while you can
Imminent 70% Divi to return cash from a court settlement of 90 million euros. And an undervalued company, no debt, good growth potential. It's surely gonna take off at some point.
Sorry I'm new to this so pardon the noob question but with a 70% dividend at current prices would that mean if someone invested £1000 they would receive £700 payment come dividend payment date? Surely this has to be wrong?..
Great news, seems under the radar at moment. This could seriously rerate this year with sales improving. Not to mention cash double market cap at present. Paying a 70% dividend... Seems little risk at these prices
happy days
RNS Number : 9450E PV Crystalox Solar PLC 17 May 2013 PV Crystalox Solar PLC 17 May 2013 Interim Management Statement This announcement is provided in accordance with the UK Listing Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, for the period from 1 January 2013 to the date hereof. PV market conditions remain very difficult but spot market price declines appear to have halted and there has been some modest recovery in prices across the value chain since the beginning of the year. Wafer prices, however, remain below industry production costs. In view of the challenging environment the Group continues to operate in cash conservation mode with reduced wafer production volumes, a continued focus on cost control and inventory management, including trading of excess polysilicon as opportunities arise. Wafer shipments in H1 are expected to exceed production volumes and to be in the range 75-85MW, which is above the 61MW reported for the same period last year. We have successfully traded surplus polysilicon during 2013 and, as a result, our inventory levels of both wafers and polysilicon have been reduced since the year end. As referred to in the announcement of our 2012 annual results, released on 21 March 2013, production costs have been lowered as a result of the more favourable pricing and volume that has been negotiated to date with our wafering subcontractor and polysilicon suppliers. Preparations for the deconstruction and site clearance of the Group's polysilicon facility at Bitterfeld and negotiations with employees regarding redundancy terms are both close to conclusion. However, these have been temporarily suspended as the Group has received an offer from local management to take over the facility and the associated obligations, including those relating to grants and subsidies, in return for a cash payment from the Group. The Board believes that this transaction would be preferable to the shut down scenario as it reduces cash outflows, gives certainty over their timing and can be completed in a much shorter timescale. We have received approval from the local grant awarding authorities for such a transfer and accordingly we are pursuing this potential transaction. The Board has reached a decision on the amount of cash to be returned to shareholders and agreed a level of 7.25p per share subject to finalisation of the process of the cash return. The Board is not yet able to confirm the timing and mechanism of the return but expects to make a further announcement on these matters shortly. As has been widely reported, the EU is expected to announce on 6 June that provisional anti-dumping duties averaging 47% are to be levied on solar products imported from China. Such a decision should benefit non-Chinese producers and contribute towards a more favourable market environment within the EU during the second half of the year.
Hopefully, volumes are still mega low. But its only a matter of time, no way you can lose here at this price
Heating up maybe for next Thursday AGM when we will know what's happening with the cash...
There is a good discussion on this link about the future of PVCS & also anyone who wants to know more about PVCS should read this. Going to be very interesting next week AGM & the weeks after. http://www.cornerofberkshireandfairfax.ca/forum/investment-ideas/pv-crystalox-solar-plc-a-uk-net-net/
Very interesting & there could be light at the end of the tunnel. Be interesting to know if PVCS has changed any of the future plans. Think we will know at the AGM what is going to happen with our special dividend, but they did say we would have a few options. If the market is improving over the next few years and demand grow more PVCS could be a very good long term hold at these prices.
it is hard to find anything out pvinsights.com is good for polysilicon prices and pv tech magazine to see what other companies are doing, it is surprising how many of these type of companies are going under at the moment.
Should be good for PVCS http://m.bbc.co.uk/news/business-22445640
I know as they all come out to say their thing ramping and de-ramping plenty. I just feel we don't have a clue what is happening with PVCS as so quiet really as but you say when RNS is released it will go mad in here. Hopefully get news soon, but it is hard to comment on here when in the dark. Good luck Mike and I check in here most day to see if anyone is wiser than me on what's going on. GLA
this board will be dead until rns then when announcement is made it will have millions of 'regular" posters
well they said by june we woudl know so more than likely in my opinion that they will let everyone know by the AGM or before (hopfully before)
Here's hoping Mike. Are PVCS still going to tell us in Q2 about the options open to us shareholder? I know they said this before Xmas, but did I read a couple of weeks ago this is not going to happen till 2014?
Some nice big buys at the end of the day hopefully some news due soon on the cashback
