Hi Poorman
Agreed. I too don’t subscribe to conspiratorial theories. It’s just markets working, warts and all.
struggled to buy tried for 5 mins s, but now got .
PeterS23, that a prime example of how cooperation is done behind closed doors (Acacia we were able to find out about) and these things happen more often than people imagine.
Hi Peter,
Yes, I'm aware of that and understand it and it's impact. My point, perhaps not explained particularly well, is it's not sinister manipulation which seems to be what was being inferred. It is simply a strategy. Acacia or whomever, don't want money tied up in this share for whatever reason. Selling = lack of demand however you dress it up and it is currently outweighing any demand.
Crazy that since the 27th July there have been 2 RNS' about new contracts and the share price has actually gone down!
Anyone read Peter Lynchs' book 'One up on Wall Street' he actively tries to avoid the hottest stocks preferring the slow burners, stocks that provide the picks and shovels, he'd love this stock!
It was mentioned a while back to buy in under 13p.
Poorman, the “orchestrated” comment will refer to the Link/Acacia shareholding that Acacia had/still have in ORPH. Link acquired ORPH shares following the winding down of Neil Woodfords investment fund fiasco. Link sold the shareholding in ORPH (and a dozen or so other Company shareholding’s , including Synairgen) to Acacia. They were sold cheaply, and hence Acacia have been selling the shares steadily (to realise the profit) and this is keeping the share price steady, as any rise is swiftly curtailed through the selling.
These things happen (same with politics, it's all one being theatre for the masses, but many deals get done in the background)...GL with your trading and let's leave at that.
Orchestrated???? Really
Agreed, not shorted per se and volumes are low - but what is keeping this down - as whenever we had big buy volumes coming in , there would always be enough selling to keep the SP down. It must be orchestrated.
I'm afraid I don't subscribe to the, lets say "slightly sinister" conspiracy theory.
Isn't this just market forces, if there are sellers whether large or small then the demand isn't there. They are selling for a reason, make a quick turn, get bored, lack of confidence / belief, need the dosh. There is nothing manipulative about it is there?
This isn’t being shorted, there is still a large seller offloading (been mentioned here many times) and to be fair it’s pretty crap volume so far on news!
...it's all about the hidden sellers (shorters ) with large volumes. We know about Acacia for instance..
who are 'They' ?
Can't expand here...but those who trade get the gist and that these things happen...how 'they' (MM's + others engaged with them) manage to do it, don't ask me as none of us are in that club.
i think we all know why the SP is not moving up, once everything is all cleared i think then its green for go, i did think by now it would be sorted, but am i worried, no not really if i was id be OUT, GLA.
Morning Hallowed. When you say controlled, what do you mean? genuine question.
New contracts, increasing revenues and company to move into profits and yet the SP doesn't move much - talk about a controlled SP.
'They' will chose the time for when to let this fly...unbelievable but it is what it - no other plausible explanation.
Right, well that was fun. Can't wait for another RNS
of course i want the imutex sale, but i also want what comes until then, you not intrested in added value then ?
'Significant'
well go away till it comes, then you might be a happy bunny, GL.
Well done ORPH! Amazes me how some shares get all the hype and don't deliver and the ones that deliver don't get the hype. Should be way about the 13p range, contract after contract will keep coming..
Agree, a contract win is a contract win. Always good news.
I hope so. We have had contract news before on a few occasions and sp not move much. I think if values of contracts cannot be disclosed for whatever reason then maybe a trading update would be an option?
