Oh dear this is all very disappointing currently. The SP momentum that was built up has come screeching to a halt. Why oh why oh why was it necessary to discount the placing price so heavily - 40%. This is a good well run company its not a dodgy AIM set up so why did it have to devalue the company so much??
You must have known that as soon as you set the price at 6p that is exactly where the SP will end up?
I just HOPE that you are going to be able to strike a few good deals with the cash you now have because otherwise the SP will flounder. :(
I really thought I'd put my money in safe hands here.
two iis taken 27% more of omip?
Just based on the RNS's and the shareholder page (which needs updating) this is the state of play
10000000 - bfg
27000000 - cannacord
26000000 - infante
9300000 - helium
7500000 - grade
7500000 - dunleavy
5000000 - livingbridge
85300000 - held (62%)
50700000 - freefloat (38%)
Looks like a very positive development for OMIP. Long term should mean greater revenue from streaming resulting from tighter control on illegal use of IP. How much extra revenue remains to be seen.
Positive Vote in European Parliament today would be good news.
First the not so good news. Placing price IS disappointing but, in this market, not altogether surprising. Thus the market will probably view it as a typical AIM placing.ie.bucketshop blah blah.
Now the good news as I see it. BGF are now a major investor in the company. BGF are most certainly NOT a bucketshop. This is a major strategic LONG TERM investor. Patient but looking for significant returns over say 5 years.
Also there is a 'cornerstone investor' mentioned in the placing details, as well as a further combined investment of £75k by both Ivan Dunleavy and Michael Grade.
So, we are predictably taking a hit from the market on the placing price - short term. BUT make no mistake this IS a significant change by this company. No more small time acquisitions. The company is now seriously looking at much larger acquisitions than has been the case historically.
The scale up is underway. Just require patience.
Nice write up about One Media in the FT today.
Thanks. They showed up late here on LSE and investegate. Yes very solid results and continued progress. Dunleavy and Grade were appointed toward the end of the period reported so hopefully we'll see an acceleration of progress going forward.
Would've liked to have seen more detail on TCAT progress.
Could you provide a link please? I can't see these results anywhere!
Some highlights
Earnings per share increased from 0.19 pence to 0.21 pence.
Large uplift in cash from £383,051 to £880,267, £375,000 of that
uplift is new Directors equity investment.
Perhaps not the stellar results we might have anticipated, but
a good base for the future.
cool
thanks
The past two years the company had released half year results on 27th June so now almost a month 'late'. That said in 2015 they were released on 27th July.
I'm expecting them to be released this week but who knows this is AIM after all!
When are results due?
thanks
Many thanks Nextlink - thanks for taking the time to answer.
Brexit will affect all Companies and opinion varies as to positive or negative.
This company is web based, so Global and converts earnings to sterling.
Less affected than a company which trades exclusively with EU countries.
Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I hold a few shares in this well run company, but will Brexit have an impact, negative or positive ?
Thanks
Fair amount of selling and results due soon. Hope results are as good as anticipated and selling is not people in the know.
https://jacobsmedia.com/awesome-power-music-nostalgia/ One Media in this space..
Small sp , no brainier surely
Thought I'd highlight another media company. BBSN has just been named as the "World's 3rd biggest Digital Media Publisher" - behind Time Warner and Walt Disney Co. -> http://bit.ly/bbsntop3 Current market cap of 4.6m
Right here in OMIP http://www.ifpi.org/downloads/GMR2017.pdf One Media right at the centre of the streaming revolution. A rare opportunity to invest in a listed music copyright owner - practically guaranteed substantial growth going forward + the owner and developer of its own proprietary technology. Developed unique software to combat illegal digital use of copyright music - already signed up two of the three major record labels. Not ramping. Just facts. DYOR
This may have drawn one or two traders in. That said, surely a trader will know which stocks are readily tradeable and which lack liquidity ie.OMIP. Could be some kind of news leak. I imagine there is an increased level of management activity with our two new big hitters. I note ID mentioned were off to the races ref to TCAT in a recent proactive interview. That sounds very bullish to me! I believe trading is very strong too - we may already be beating market expectations.
!
Wow, speechless! (about time too)
