All the best Steven, shares can be very unforgiving. Hope you have a blinder on this.
I also have a substantial position in Renold PLC - RNO - they are well worth a look. The SP recovered considerably since COVID lows and their business has serious engagement in line with a reorganisation. I can see it pushing on and on going into 2022 - they products have an excellent reputation worldwide and they turn a profit. I can see them being a candidate for acquisition in future. DOYR and ATB.
One last thanks for your supportive comments and positivity today. It really did cheer me up seeing some kindness and compassion from those I don’t really know. Tomorrow is another day and another thread! Good night and good luck everyone.
I risked all I had on quite a few companies but got lucky and sold at the right times. Probably beginners luck. I put everything into #OEX and averaged down to 0.25p. Sitting on a loss of 12k but relaxed and really positive on what's to come. Even today oil and gas prices are still going up which bods well for the future. News could come soon or maybe it will take a little longer but one thing I'm sure of is that within a year everyone will be greatly rewarded.
Hi Steven, what a story. I've learnt my lesson the hard way too. Although I'm holding not as many as you, my strategy here is where could this be in a years time. Although all these spikes and falls are fog in my eyes, I have to tell myself that I'm down here for a year and then I'll reevaluate
Good luck, StevenWest - I'm down by quite a bit on OEX, and not really all that willing to average down. However, as others have said, this could come good at some point. Wishing you the best with this share, cos we'll be riding this train together!
Steven Your story touched me I have been in oilex since Oman . I've been in Dark places with this share and places of Happiness . I did what u have done on C77 drill but not so much,it nearly broke me I altered strategy and recovered Best advice I have is try to listen to what market shows in price action rather then get to much in love with one company or CEO. Right now share placing is on but watch what happens when that stops, that will be the Canary in the mine. Also always doubt everything For Example Roland seems switched on so that a big plus but if there was say a war between India and ****stan tomorrow what would that do to share price.(unlikely I know but so was a global Pandemic 3 years ago) I'm not being negative just after a while on Aim you learn to see the reality Hang on in there till Drills and then derisk some before results is my two cents . You will sleep better at night I do believe oilex will do it just be patient Best of luck
Talking of Jet2 .... If the JV at oilex news came in as I expected, i was looking at Rolls Royce and International Consolidated Airlines Group as my out of lock down tickets to retirement, both should double plus.
Steven, Nice to see the sympathetic BB replies. OEX could be on a reset now Roland Wessel is CEO with 100% Cambay and Irish Sea Exploration. OMG you have made a real gamble on borrowed money; I would n't. Hope it works out for you ... and the rest of us !
We’ve all done “silly” things in our life to date (me plenty and some), but as I try to tell myself in those cases, Hindsight a beautiful thing. However hard it might be, try to look forward - onwards and upwards!
I don't think anyone on here will call you stupid Steven. I certainly wouldn't given, with hindsight, money I've lost on another form of gambling. Hope you feel a bit better for getting it off your chest. Atb.
Good luck to you sir. This will come good at some point in time and I am also in BOIL and UKOG better luck than judgement as I have a free ride their. This is a hold until the news hits as its only a paper loss until you sell. May be a month may be a year but you don't get rich quick trading unless you have millions and put it in say BP or any other big company and hope it goes up then rinse and repeat. One share to get in for a long hold is jet2 when the airlines start flying again as bought in last year sub £3 as the lockdown started and sold at £15. GL whatever you decide!!
Good luck Steven, I got stung by TRP and UKOG! Ifeel OEX will come good - I hope you're lucly this time too. I'm in BOIL and ADV so high hopes for all of those too...definitley worth checking out IMHO All the best to all invested
I have had very similar experiences Steven although all my current investments are from my cash and not borrowed as some was previously. I am currently invested also in PREM, BOIL and SRES if they are of any interest to you :) Hope you make your money back and if it is of any help I am on the way to making mine back although of course you can never be certain. Good luck to you.
I’m not writing this for sympathy or criticism and I’m sure I’m not the only one to do it but sometimes telling people you don’t know releases some of the burden. Don’t worry I’ve not murdered anyone! Lol I’m 43 and work for an NHS ambulance service. I’m in management now but I worked on the frontline for nearly 14 years. I worked hard and did loads of overtime in other areas. I mean LOADS of overtime. By the time I was 40 I had saved about £175,000 plus the money I put down for a deposit on my house (about £70,000). I was always very careful with my money but when I heard lots of friends and colleagues saying how great Sirius was going to be…… That’s where I lost the majority, about (130,000) of my money when it got bought by Anglo American. The rest lost on BPC that I thought was going to be my saviour. I lost every penny of my life savings, and the 10 million shares I have here is on borrowed money in addition to loans, maxed out credit cards and an overdraft. If OEX gets to 2p one day I’ll get my money back. For anyone reading that may have ever considered getting a bit carried away just be careful. Before anyone says how stupid I was I already know!Good look all and let’s hope this comes good in the future.
