I would sooner you didn't tell me to watch the BBC news. They are the worse UK media for lying. If you watch that ****e, that's up to you
Gazza,Absolutely nothing wrong with that and thanks for doing so.
Another issue is if viral infection in the community falls back it will lengthen the time necessary to complete the larger phase trials as they will need to either do challenge studies which are very difficult to scale up to necessary numbers or do trials in likes of Brazil orcRussia etc.
Morning ivy
I just post what I read.
I’m all for ya (ODX) doing well and all the PI’s here.
I have little hope of a vaccine being ready any time soon, in fact the CEO of Astra Zeneca reported on TV last week that there was only a 50% chance of their vaccine working. However, one thing I don’t see any of you touching on, unless I have missed something, is using donor blood to fight this disease or rather the antibodies in the plasma from blood. To identify potential donors antibody testing has to be put in place. Again another opportunity for ODX antibody tests. This is currently being trialled by several countries. https://www.nature.com/articles/d41587-020-00011-1

So not decrying any of the Vax efforts but you do need to show a degree of scepticism on any individual project
Morning Gazza,
You have to be extremely careful in trying to assign prospects of success for any of these Vax candidates as there are huge risks whatever the approach even the mRNA one of Moderna.
As you can see many candidates who are keen to fund their development may ramp up the likelihood of success.

There will always be a need for tests like ODX are likely to supply whether a Vax comes or not
If you have an iPhone it’s within the news app.
I can’t put up the link as I am on the phone. But it’s on Nat Geo news and here is a copy and paste of a bit of it
A promising coronavirus vaccine candidate cleared a key hurdle this week, when Moderna Therapeutics entered phase two of clinical trials. The move signals that the company’s mRNA vaccine has passed its initial safety checks and has met an important milestone in bringing this drug closer to the public and commercial markets.
Shut up with all your irrelevant political rubbish and listen to the extensive BBC discussion on immunity passports. You might learn something....

Gazza. Interesting point about China having a vaccine. It's easy to drift into conspiracy theories. The plague that sweeped through Europe hundreds of years ago actually started in China and spread to Europe through trade routes .
As for a 3rd World War, the person that worries me most is Trump.
As for racism, I like these boards because there is no discrimination. I happen to be paralysed down my left side since birth. I could write a book on the despicable way I have been treated by the general public over the years. It's not all bad, my weena still works. Ha Ha.
Sending good Sunday.
China have won WW3
It’s said they have a vaccine now. It wouldn’t surprise me if they had it all along.
