Suggest Gates is not interested in EU a market, ditto USA
that was filed before GAD excepted his offer
We know what market he is targeting and it’s not the 1st World, he’s had a game plan for while, he funded the latest £40M GAD manufacturing plant for the sole purpose of supplying 3rd world countries and the moved couple of weeks as we know to control the equity / direction of the business and it doesn’t look like it EU/ USA focused
techbadger, they were given $Ms by Radx, can't see them not supplying to US when EUA is provided
TWatcher a lot of low middle income countries accept FDA approval as approval in their own countries. Not every country can afford their own body.
"Gates didn’t buy GAD to make tests for the 1st World?"
What then for the FDA EUA application ?
This one is a bit of a curve ball but I wonder with Gates now owning GAD will he be interested in the U.K. government £980M manufacturing contract ? Once they pick the biotech?
Gates didn’t buy GAD to make tests for the 1st World?
It also coincided with Omega receiving additional manufacturing kit off the U.K. Government
Pure speculation but commercially it has possibilities, that would be a serious rerate if this was the case.
Throw in Gates will be using the same Biotech as Omega for Africa it does add a level of gravitas to the quality of the Omega antigen test when marketing to USA/ EU
‘ good enough for Bill Gates ... ‘
Brokers
Well ain't you all doom and gloom with your shiny new account ;-)
Another clever poster trying to get a blue Peter badge
A 100 grand buy is a big confident buy.. aint no punt money.... no doubt someone in the know... News this wk looks very likely...
Staffing levels, 2 million capacity, additional machinery, additional jobs advertised, images of production with dates, etc, it is looking quite positive.
Looks like we needed the extra machinery off the Government to hit the 2M a week
We can speculate Omega said to the Government ‘we won’t buy more kit without contracts ‘and as such were provided with additional kit
It’s fair to say it’s looking highly likely the £374M contract will be announced soon, plus a high chance using Omega Antigen test for Home use - hence the photos of the boxes saying home test
You take your position today as you see it today , the above comes off and we enjoy a healthy rerate, its becoming more likely by the week
ODX have indicated they have had all equipment for 2M capacity since end of April, and no short-term plans to go beyond that capacity.
From the Q&A
"Q23: Does Omega have plans to increase the weekly output of 2 million tests per week? If so what is the next target/milestone?
The focus at this stage is on utilizing 2m tests per week capacity once we have that on stream with manufacturing for the UK Government."
Q32 was audio response which says: "In terms of the 2M tests per week, In April the facilities and equipment were in place....clearly in terms of that capacity, a large percentage of that was aimed at the dept of Health so it is fair to say that we haven't actually delivered on 2M"
Just TWATcher closing his short.. nothing to see.
The Government supplying more machinery as they need volume - which is what the Chinese manufacturers can offer - and the £374M contract looking more likely to start as a result
Omega releasing annual accounts with photographs of manufactured antigen tests saying home tests
Changes to DHSC regs on testing specifications
Potential move away from PCR to LFT for travel into U.K. and same for EU countries
Price of LFT’s, Omega can supply low cost quality LFT’s don’t think that’s in doubt, their MO is as diagnostic engineers and they have a good reputation
EU & USA approval on the cards
Throw in the rest of the business and a £95M m/cap is looking incredibly cheap
Havent we seen these type of buys before and the price rises and then back down again?
We just need news, real news and not silence like all the Pharma stocks or this will continue to hover around 50p
190,640 - £99.99k buy.
Nice.
You don't buy that many or spend that much unless you are confident of making a good return.
