probably.
the nasdaq chart looks very similar to the ocado chart from around feb 9 onwards...all down
There's been a brutal sell off on the Nasdaq today, wonder if it'll have an impact here tomorrow.
Jimmy. That's the spirit! Have faith. This will go back up. GLA
Well Midland Boy always like a bet what’s the point of living without some risks. And yes I can afford to lose some. It’s only 25% that’s gone anyway and I’m sure the only way is up again very soon on this share and IAG probably down again soon especially when they start flying again in larger numbers as well.
Good advice midlandboy. You are asking Jimmy when the share price will start to rise again. Noone can predict that precisely. Personally I do not look at investing in terms of time. I look upon it in terms of confidence. If I am happy with a company I sit on the shares for long periods. I research daily for any news good or bad. If my confidence drops to a low level then I look at selling the shares.
If you think in terms of time, ie wanting share x to get to share price y, then so many things can knock a share off course, pandemics, politics, warehouse fires etc etc.
It's been a crazy year of investment rises and falls. Each of us has missed or bailed out early on some cracking opportunities. Try not to beat yourself up over that. IAG going back many months wasn't a certain rise. Many issues were unanswered.
Jimmy. After losing your chauffeur business, I'd have thought the last thing you'd want to be doing is investing? And not in a volatile, qiite risky stock like ocdo. Big ups and big downs. I'd be playing 'safe' in your shoes with £5k of lgen or similar. Rule no 1: Only invest what you can afford to lose . Can you afford to lose that £5k? Sit tight, my friend. Time and patience is key.
Hopefully a good lift.
Kroger quarterly results are out today at 3pm UK time. There's a live webcast at 3pm. Always worth watching and looking for Ocado related info on how the Kroger-Ocado partnership is progressing etc. Are they wanting to ramp up the CFC build programme faster? etc etc..

Kroger already own 5% of Ocado Group.
Agreed... Have a feeling we're in for a rough ride until June as the world unlocks and money is moved into other shares.
Second half of the year we should have a good run as results confirm people are still shopping online and (hopefully) more deals are made. £40-45 by xmas :)
Definitely a buy at these levels for me even if it does drop lower.
I’m holding out to see if it drops to £20 before adding more.
Well said Valueplay I’ve just made a lot of poor decisions didn’t start getting shares until Mid April last year due to the fact of basically losing my Chauffeur business due to Lockdowns. And got into IAG at a very early stage had done okay with them most of the time until making the awful decision of getting out at £ 1.37 now look at them ! But just for the life of me don’t get it them keep going up now and Ocado keep going down when only 1 of these 2 companies has money continually coming through the door ! Last observation on my google check I always look at IAG first and you know straight away that Ocado will be down if IAG is up ! Surely it must change the other way soon ?
It's a very volatile share. You will see that a similar drop occured from £29 at end of Sept 2020 to £21/22 in Oct/Nov 2020. On the flip side there have been numerous big rises up.
Cheers for your kind words. When this board is at its best we all try to help each other. Obviously noone holding the shares likes to see the share price dropping.
Thanks Valueplay but I’m stuck here now even with the stress ! Hopefully they can’t get much lower fingers crossed. Keep your positivity up it helps.
No won’t be selling now brought 5 k worth at £ 28.11 a few months ago and then they went all the way down to this price roughly. Then at the end of Jan I was £ 100 up. Kicking myself now not selling then. Unfortunately it’s been free fall again since latest financial results. But I’m stuck here again no doubt waiting months to get any profit at all.
Exactly midlandboy. My Ocado shares dropped to a loss for the first year I held them, at times a loss of 50%> After that they rose. Jimmyroyal, if though you are not sure about Ocado you should think about selling as I posted before. If you are stressing greatly over daily moves things could get very tough for you.
It may easily drift further down. However I personally see the current share price as attractive.
Disaster or buying opp? Only a disaster if you have to sell. Do you? If not, and you bought in highish, buy a few more (or wait for sub £20) and bring your ave down. Or just hold and see where we are in 6 - 12 months....
Sorry Ed Win even £ 21.11 looking bad now.
Even 2011 is looking bad ! Will this fall ever end looking at £ 19 soon. Bloody disaster !
Best of luck hope your right !
