Yes I’m now out at 278p ! Bought 172p. CD&R May well come back tonight or over weekend but can’t take that risk. The higher price already points toward a breakup of the company.
Hope so re: Morrison's as I took a little chance on a 1000 above the proposed £2-52 + 2p special
£3 a share buyout would be more like it for a company like that but we'll see and possibly one on the chin if I'm wrong but it's another lesson learned in my book lol
Top that should say!! And while writing earlier fortress just increased their bid ahead of cd&r! Cheeky!
Exactly! The Egyptian’s tried and look what happened there! We should reach 2m saplings this year and our best harvest in a decade ready for 2022! Really pleased government support coming next year because it’s been a real struggle in the last 4 years.
Anyway here’s hoping to Morrison’s and Sainsbury’s reaching too soon.
Not a materialistic person myself and I salute you for planting out
If you make a little and often, you've cracked it but always remember the old saying 'there's no pockets in shrouds'
Every day is a good day if you wake up ;0)
Like many other investors I stopped using Ocado to make money from its volatility and moved to other stocks like Deliveroo where Iv made a huge sum of money in the last 4 weeks, by trading it.
I need money for more important things than holidays and things! I have trees to plant!!! More and more trees!!! That’s where all my profits have gone for the last 20 years.
SP heading upwards again and the sunshine outside is wonderful
We will get there, it'll just take time and god willing, that's something I've got plenty of right now.
Ocado’d own robots colliding is worrying for their IT guys, and was Andover same issue.
However, I guess shareholders are more concerned about other companies robots colliding and leaving a nasty bill to pay.
Company raised 657 million pounds through an equity placing and retail offer and about 350 million pounds through the issue of guaranteed senior unsecured convertible bonds due 2027, yet very little has happened inside the business except huge legal fees trying to protect its licences that investors thought was already!
Will Ocado need to raise more pocket money (classic Ocado)
Will it also need to raise more funds to pay court outcomes, billions??
The fact is Ocado only makes money on UK operations with M&S JV, and 90% of its sales comes from UK.
It’s total group sales 2.3 b in 2020. Yes that’s right 2.7b forecast 2021.
Good grief.
A crystal ball would have been handy re: colliding robot's starting a fire
Halma, Good luck to you too.
I don’t have any shares in this company, the court cases stopped me being able to ride the sp.
You don’t need a crystal ball either, just look at the chart.
The point needs to be make that even at this level the SP isn't showing weakness.
It was Covid that pulled the SP up last year and earlier this year and the huge business opportunity that it exposed.
Without the Covid influence, based on the 5 year chart, the SP would probably still have been around what it is now.
The onus is now on Ocado to prove that it can deliver, as soon as it does that the SP will reach new heights, not by promise but by actual results.
Neil,
All we can do is focus on the best posible outcome, I've already admitted that I bought in at the wrong time, although, I still saw value and a chance to progress to previous levels but unless you had a crystal ball, no one could have predicted recent events.
For the two downers I'm currently holding, Ocado and Micro Focus, I have three heavily invested massive winners in Halma, Greggs and Reach that trump any paper loss on those, a 100 times over because of how long I've been invested in them.
Personally, I'm prepared to let both downers run as I can see a rebound at some point and my initial outlay restored, that's the time I'll make the call on where to go next, not yet.
I wish you good luck and hope you get back to your entry point, Just make sure you pick more winners and the loss status on a few, won't spoil your overall view
‘Faith’ has absolutely nothing to do with a falling knife. The chart does not discern nor does hold until gains have diminished.
Who said anything about right now?
It might start turning way before I decide the correct time, oh ye of little faith.
You would need to be stark raving mad to buy this equity right now! Look at the chart!!!!!
Much better opportunities yet to appear, it has built yesterday PM another defence line at 14.79
If we fall any further and no doubts we will, surely this has to be seen as a serious buying opportunity and I intend to level up my holding with another 1000
