LOL... to busy arguing with my builder, to walk the dogs, it seems I have a touch of the "Wilsons" :)
next to the ineptitude of the Brexit plan, the current 'home test' strategy has to be the biggest waste of tax payers money and the scandal of the decade.....it's incredible to believe medical professionals support it in any way and on any level.
@ValJu
I think it's time for us to take the dog for a walk,
with only 7 left could be in danger zone
correction, I have a box of 7 - need more coffee - duh !
I have a box of 8...
remember the govt bought almost a billion of the cheap LFTs and half a billion are sat lying around unused in people homes....only the unique barcode of each is useful anyway....they might aswell bought just only the barcode, everything else is useless......for home testing, price will always be a factor....home testing will keep the virus around eternally.....
Too much gas and possibly other substances going around their heads ATM.
Does ABDX even have a ce marked professional antigen test, nevermind a home test? Avct doesn't have ce for their professional test either. Yet we struggled to close flat, welcome to AIM.
I really don't think the government thought this through, not ones for joined up thinking are they?
Yes they will..... No need to rush burnt fingers and gov ineptitude both sides of the pond.......P.roduction s.peed and stock.... Flexibilty..... Maybe a opportunity will arise
Eventually ...... the market will wake up to the reality, regardless of LFT. PCR, as to which companies are generating huge revenues/profit.
Shocking how NCYT is compared to all the loss making companies that have not made a penny from Covid tests as yet.
Blimey .ABDX up 28%.
Just catching up on the news - did AVCT/ODX/NCYT get the lucky ticket?
Or just pure speculation based on a tweet by somebody's dog?
I’ve used BioGrad for my Day 2 PCR when back in the U.K. and BioGrad’s (don’t know who actually manufactured it) LFT, which you use abroad for your certificate to fly back. For the LFT, you take the test and then photo the test result next to your passport and upload it. A couple of hours later you get a certificate back, which is then checked by the airline before letting you on the plane. I did it properly, but it’s open to abuse, especially if it’s the process, which will replace the fail safe Day 2 PCR test. On PCR you actually need a sample for a valid test. On LFT you just need to add the reagent for a negative result. It’s a recipe for disaster in letting in VOCs and there’s not really that much cost difference between PCR and LFTs at the moment anyway, so the families that the Gov is so worried about aren’t going to save a lot.
That’s the problem bluelight we are not seen as a LFT provider and that is why we haven’t jumped up like AVCT or ODX.
That’s why the market needs bloody telling !
Come in NCYT get the bloody news out there !
Has AVCT even got a test ready for market yet :)
Thats not accepted ChasPB, you can do that to go to the footie etc but its domestic. To travel you need to book in to a test centre for an LFT or video LFT etc. Has to be a proven test, not one of the joke tests from the NHS. I imagine many will try the free ones of course, but I suspect closer to date the gov will do a big info drive to tell people thats not accepted, and you run the risk of being put into isolation/fined. Another logistical mess theyve created for themselves of course.
Thx Monkeyfish - haven't travelled anywhere so not fully converse with process
Register with the NHS, report your test result (Open to abuse of course as you are not providing any proof of actual test result),
receive Back NHS Email & Text confirming:
Who you are, D.O.B., Date of Test with your Result showing.
Think the App may have a little more detail and look more official, not sure what else you can have for a LFT result for travel.
Correct Bluelight. Another masterplan by the government not thought through fully. Had they even discussed LFT production with the diagnostics industry to see if it was at scale ready to take over from PCR. Answers on a postcard please.
Travellers will still need a negative test so carry on with PCR if authorised LFT not available.
Bluelight, you’re correct you can’t use the free ones. It even states on the government website that the free LFTs should not be taken out of the country either. You need medical validation, via either a video or photo of the test result, even if self-tested.
Im not 100% on it but I believe that you can't just use one of those in the post free chinese lfts as proof for travel. I think you have to get an accredited one you pay for to fly. Otherwise the gov effectively subsides travel, not to mention no one will actually take them, they'll just scan the barcode and put a negative result regardless.
Make that about 120 grands worth of buys in the last minute of trading. Tomorrow might be a good day after all
But Blue the accredited labs we have established relationships with won't forget , nor any of the fit to fly.
Most chemists (e.g. BOOTS etc) have FREE "COVID-19Self -Test (Rapid Antigen Test) kits for personal home use, each kit has 7 tests.
These Kits have a life-span of 2 years, and you can register with NHS as part of Test & Trace system.
But, these are the (Mainly Chinese) Kits the government are phasing out very soon, and you will then have to Pay for them.
hopefully, customers will "Buy British - Buy Novacyts".
No Problem NCYT selling all the LFT's they can produce then if lack of supply is the issue.
Great, we will be knocking out LFT's and PCR's all Autumn and Winter.
