Porky, no problem, best part about a bulletin board is you can have differing discussions and in doing so pick up information that messes up your own theories. Getting personal is not the way, we all make mistakes, wrong calls. Sometimes you can only go on the information you have available, and that isn’t always black and white.
We both have a passion for this stock as do many others and want it to do as well as you suggest.
I don’t believe in a take over here and don’t believe in £54 but I’m not complaining if we make that!!
I’m not a fan of takeovers anyway, as I’m not a fan of big corporate business, I like to see the little companies grow. Just me being an ass probably. I was the same in my aviation career, hated working for big business but loved my jobs with the small airlines. It felt like you meant something.
@Lockedandloaded
I'm on the same page, it's absolutely outrageous. Its essential that we maintain quality border control. Quality all the way. PCR testing and specifically look out for these Variants.
I have no idea either why they keep going back to this Chinese junk. £ 2.8 billion, if that's correct, is a hell of lot of tax payers money wasted.
@All
I can only apologise if my posting is considered Rampy. I have tried to tone it down recently but i remain VERY passionate about this company. I'm annoyed about recent events, i feel that the messages from the company could have been handled better and i also consider that the Share price has been marked down disproportionately to the situation. Its a total over reaction as far as i'm concerned an di expect this to right itself shortly.
I detest shorter's and anyone trying to inflict further damage here on the back of our current challenging situation. I make no apology for that.
However, i'm trying to remain positive. They are doing a lot of things right on the business side and recruitment is continuing which is not the sign of company short of business. We have possibly the best test in the market for all known variants, a cracking R&D team on the cusp of rolling out some second gen tests and a solid network into 150 countries.
I also really believe that the DHSC situation will resolve within the 28 day arbitration period, i see no reason why it shouldn't. I stand by my previous valuation calculations, we are battered but not out. All these matters will soon become clear, not that long until H1 reveal and there are a heck of a lot of companies in this sector with better valuations not doing as well as Novacyt are - our reward will come here, one way or another.

Hate to say this but i hope this variant sweeps through the tory party, bringing them to the brink of the reaper
Correction, sensitivity and specificity intended previously!
Porky, the problem as you and I know is the lfts in use that are not above 98 sensitivity and sensitivity leave room for too much error, that’s one in every 50 or 100 that slips through the net. At this stage of the game it’s not good enough!!!
Passengers are paying good money, the heartache of following the rules and loss of time, yet the government love the Chinese test kits and the random crap from the jockey club!!!
I’m voting liberal next time, fcuck this corrupt bunch!!
And I really thought Boris was for supporting British business!!!
Yes, this is the concern; The SA Variant is specifically nasty. Can escape Antibodies.
The BBC reporting further about the London Outbreak
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-56729607
44 Cases Confirmed and 30 probable. This must be contained.
But what annoys the hell out of me is this is as a result YET again of ONE person NOT properly tested on arrival from Africa to the UK at the airport.
And the government focus is on cheaper tests. FOCUS on QUALITY first make borders watertight then worry about pricing.
See table here (this was prior to the Brittany Variant which needs adding)

This is why tonight Bojo has change in View, he knows that the VOC's can set us right back to stage 1 again if we are not careful. Vaccines alone are NOT enough for full control.
Worrying
Is this correct?

There was a surge testing programme a while ago during lockdown for two cases!! May have gone up to five cases of the South African or Brazilian variant, cannot remember the exact details. However now I’ve just heard a figure in the region of 44 cases of the South African variant in Lambeth and Wandsworth. My fear here is we are drifting out of lockdown just as this variant is taking hold in London!!! This is not good news. Are we the only company that can only specifically test for this variant?
In south London, dozens of cases of the South Africa variant of Covid-19 have been detected, chiefly in the boroughs of Wandsworth and Lambeth, leading to what the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) has said is the “largest surge testing operation to date”.

Everyone aged 11 years and over who lives, studies, works or travels through these areas is being asked to take a PCR test for the coronavirus – even if they do not have symptoms of Covid. Positive samples are then further analysed to determine which variant is present.
