Also from the chairman's statement - "There is nothing to suggest that the year as a whole will not substantially exceed current market expectations." "All parts of our business are contributing, but LED lighting and engineered component distribution are particularly strong."
In my Chairman's statement in the Annual Report published in January, I reported that we had entered the year at a gallop and that this had continued during the first quarter. I am now pleased to confirm that this pace has been maintained in the second quarter and there is no sign, as yet, of it letting up. We obviously need to urge a little caution, as we have been let down by external factors before, but on the basis of current levels of activity the first half looks like being a record for orders, sales and profits, exceeding our internal expectations by a substantial margin.
I was too cautious...but the future here is Jolly bright
May be of interest http://www.privatepunter.co.uk/Companies/lpa-22-january-2016
Results are excellent and with a very large forward order book. They have so much business they are moving some production to a larger site.Should be a great profit this year and firing on all cylinders. The future looks very good indeed and they have some winning products.
In total contrast to last year when we started quietly, this year has started full bore! We expect matters to settle down to a sustainable beat rate significantly higher than that previously achieved. We have orders on hand and projects for which we have been selected which will provide us with a very significant base load to sustain us through to 2019. We are very well positioned in the market place to win more business and should this occur, we shall have the very pleasant task of enhancing our capabilities to satisfy this demand
Results should be out end of Jan. Forward order book at record levels and will be moving into period of increasing profits from now on-looking very good for future growth in my view and one to tuck away now.
wotever

£7000 buy filled at 91.50 :P
After a challenging first half, the factory load, particularly in the LED-based lighting activity, has significantly improved, delivering a much stronger performance in the second half and the previously reported problems with the integration of the fabrication capability into the electro-mechanical facility have been largely overcome. As a result, the Board expects that results for the year will be ahead of market expectations. Order entry has been very strong throughout the year and totalled a record £26.8m for the year as a whole. The order book at the end of the year totalled more than £18m, which is also a record. This does not include an additional approximate £7.5m of project work for which LPA has been selected, but for which the delivery programme is insufficiently defined for the orders to be entered at this stage. Deliveries of these projects extend from 2016 to 2019.
yea like 4-5 buys will see this at 100p the only way to get share is to fill or kill
Will only take a handful of buys to reach 100p ...should be more like 140p
Will only take a handful of buys to reach 100p ...should be more like 140p
AGAIN CANT BUY haha market makers having a nightmare with this one, they cannot get any sellers. 100p today?
Easily yeah, it's consolidated since the news on Monday and now set to make another leg up having broken Monday's high on just a few buys so far today.
2500 shares max at 91p anything above 2500 goes to 92p-93p premium market makers really have no shares lol 100p+ by Friday
...a little more volume and will be back over 100p in no time. Very good RNS
Filling large buy orders would be my guess They will not let you buy and they will let you sell in quantity. Someone probably has another 50k buy in the books like the other day.
Just a few small buys and the sp jumps, solves the mystery of why the MMs didn't want to play ball yesterday ..... no stock. Ridiculous when you think about it; if they raised their bid price to attract a few sellers, buyers waiting in the wings would snap up the stock then on offer (at a higher price) so thy've made money. I must be missing something!
NT to buy........
