and the 18 i guess !
bought in 18.28 earlier, seemed an overhang but that large 14k buy may have made a diff
Mads,
The only thing I can say is that the issues you mention do not only apply to Lnd. Far from it.
I note that you topped up recently; great stuff. I think we will see things happen now and I am talking short term.
UR - my very limited understanding is 'significant' has to be something 'material' when it comes to be a RNS requirement. With day-to-day operations with the likes of a company like LND that'd be drill results showing bonanza grades being discovered. OR alternatively significant in terms of reasonable quantity of positive drill results being outstanding over a period of time. You'd think AIM rules shouldn't be subject to how good companies are at keeping things secret & to themselves??!!
Having been here with this stock for over 15 years, the thing for me that makes a mockery of the whole way it works in practice as opposed to theory.......... is how many times do you see share prices actually drop when a positive drill result RNS is published? With LND that figure has got to be as high as 90%. And that's being conservative. Complete frustrating farce. The only thing that seems to help LND's share price (over many years) is when there's loads of rampers appear on various BBs with schoolboy nonsense. That's great for the share price but only for a short-term period. 10 buys and the MMs move the price up. 2 sells and they move it down. Get a major seller and it's disaster.
Mads,
It’s a point that comes under constant discussion and I am not sure yet what is correct.
I hold shares in another company and this is a source of constant bickering on the boards when you look at defining ‘significant’......
First drill hole completed and ‘duster’.........significant?
Second hole completed and core looks mineralised.....significant yet?
Third hole the same but no gold...yet?
Fourth hole...0.9 gpt over 20 m....yet
Fifth to Twentieth....mainly mineralised same grades at 0.9 to 1.2 over x metres
21st hole 50 m at 6.2 gpt....yet?
Company sharing data with potential JV partner....yet?
You get the picture.
My understanding from what I have read is that so long as kept ‘inside’ then no need to release immediacy otherwise companies actively exploring could be required to release RNS to market on an almost hourly or daily basis. It seems to me that significant results need to be published through the prescribed means (RNS) before being released in any other fashion so significant info could have been sat on for weeks.
That’s why companies like Rio and Newcrest release price sensitive info at regular intervals only.
My confusion over the rules, however, can be exemplified by news that arrived yesterday in Australia. A company in the Pilbara (SVD) has been carry out aero magnetic surveys looking for massive sulphides and results show no clear evidence. They released this news as significant and sp has fallen 48 per cent. I agree fully with you here that they had no choice but to release.
I therefore remain confused.
UR
Sorry - no views from me UR on that matter you mention. Not qualified enough.
Regarding any timescale - I would have thought if LND were sitting on any significant drill results that could reasonably be viewed to have a material effect on the share price then they have an obligation under AIM rules & regs to publish those results immediately. They have in the past always released drill results in a 'piecemeal' fashion. I'd be disappointed not to get some drill results before Xmas.
Mads,
Did you read the bit about ‘Spotty Gold ‘. (new one on me that) Lnd take is that because it is spotty, the assays don’t tend to accurately represent the full picture and can under report.
Lnd are looking to obtain a bulk sample (‘Mini’ mining authority required) and will submit same for analysis. They say this may upgrade resource to 1.3 / 1.4 gpt which would be pretty significant.
Any views?
Agreed Mads,
Last years drill commenced to first assays was 3 months.
I reckon we will get first assays week or so before Xmas; maybe a little earlier if it suits LND to release.
There will be SOME drill results LONG before March imo.
In fill soil sampling results due in now to identify drill targets due to start drilling October. Drill results March 2021. Hopefully some tidbits and early indications betwixt.
