Wonder if Lloy will only rent to their own customers ?
Oh dear walkers sorry if you have had some bad times with some people, but we are not all bad ,bitter and twisted,do try to get to know someone before you make judgement, lloyds is up today something for all of us to be happy about ,long may it continue, have a peaceful day.
Hollybean, you are a typical Union Rep, bitter and twisted!
Walkers I did not say everyone was talking rubbish,I said some tripe being talked about this morning, not quite the same, keep posting enjoy your day.
Hollybean,,keep it civil, that would go for you too, you wrote on this site this morning that we were all talking rubbish, follow your own advice!
cruntp get rid of gas boiler and install electric[ ,you will not be able to buy a new gas one after 2030 anyway ,] tell the gas supplier you dont need the gas meter and that will save £92 a year standing charge, no sevice cost ,no gas inspection if you let, simples
No need to turn this into union bashing, for history declares without unions ,life would of been continued he'll for many, under the jackboot of capitalists ,good and bad in everything, but a voice for everyone to listen too is very important ,now enjoy your day, keep it civil.
I think you'll find that crappy management, poor designs and more latterly, dodgy and unpatriotic venture capitalists, also played their part.
Don't present generalised and ill-informed opinions as facts.
mararab would they be the ones all bought by germany?
dam unions killed to uk motor industry fact
The only unions that have any clout these days are the PFA, Lawyers, Doctors and Civil Servants. Other than that it is game over. We live in a zero hours, gig, unskilled, service led economy. Did anyone else see the Amazon store in London and get flashbacks to the Matrix? It also resembles the future of High Street banking based on my most recent visit.
Hollybean, I would keep quiet about your Union connections, you are on a capitalist shareholder site, unions usually mean trouble for shareholders so not a popular disclosure.
This virus has changed the way people buy things now and i feel will never go back to the way it was . HIGH STREET SHOPS WILL BE CONVERTED TO SMALL RESIDENTIALPROPERTY TO LET , this i think will be a good move for lloyds . 60% of goods bought in shops are mow bought on the internet we have to wake up and go with the flow
Union v current government = clash of ideology, simples
Aparma being an ex union official ,I beg to differ unions are well informed of what is going on, so don't underestimate there knowledge ,for your information so keep that in mind for future ref.
And when do management and unions ever agree on anything. Many years ago when I worked for British steel our union refused to go on flexi time because management proposed it. After 4 weeks of watching everyone else start and finish when they liked and telling us how great it was we had to cap in hand and ask if we could go on it.

"Once the pigeons have pooed all over your solar panels what will their efficiency be: 50%?"
I have a self-sufficient motorhome. 300w solar panels. Had it for 10 years. Rain in UK keeps it clean and working good enough for my off-grid lifestyle for months on end.
With regard to the gas users. My house boiler needs regular servicing and replacement every 8 or so years. Others will have different thoughts.
Sorry to hear of your financial losses. I am old enough to remember suez canal. Didn't end well for UK!
Hope Lloyd stay away from house ownership. Will be bad press.
First vocal person declined funding will suggest Lloyd want to rent, self interest etc. Then the first to default will bring family and friends to prove vengeful bank putting them on the streets.
Lose if decline, lose if bad debt, lose if profits lower due to poor lending.
BTL. is for professionals or amateurs happy to take a loss
Don’t give up your day job Asperger lol
PP sorry to hear your plight. You can't fight the political orthodoxy. I have personal reservations about clean energy having spent a couple of weeks in Sicily at a PV factory set up in the middle of the island with 160,000,000 Euros, much of which came by way of an EU grant. The factory operated for about 6 months then was closed down. It never actually became fully operational. I find the notion that batteries are the answer implausible due to their efficiency, requirement for rare minerals and the disposal question. The amount of BS surrounding what used to be called Green or Environmentally Friendly, later morphed into CSR and now has become ESG is bewildering.
A simple and efficient approach would be to use what we have more carefully i.e. promote and incentivise energy efficiency within the home yet our beloved overlords even screw that up by encouraging high-rise eyesores to be wrapped in oily rags. What could possibly go right?
Why do lefties only drink herbal tea?
cus all proper tea is theft !
Hi Theosus, yes, and as we have already seen some commercial property owners, High St, looking to convert premises into affordable homes...
DYOR
Aparma if you think they got it all sewn up,and there no problems, then why is the BTU union advising against it,of course you know better, and the union knows F all .
Pippa_Peaches
unfortunately, this is not the Govt problem there problem is housing stock, creating jobs, apprenticeships, green deals, Rengeration and they will fix this using Lloy, TW and various green projects etc….
Lots of poor areas have left people on the rear end due to gentrification....individuals buying vast amounts of property and building endless amounts of apartment's for students......

You can just see the conflict of interest happening with people struggling to pay their mortgage.
