MV,
I do agree on the second point though!
MV,
"So due to global warming, all trade must end"
Did I say that?
Just seems daft that our sheep industry is on its knees and yet we're important Lamb from the other side of the planet!
Doesn't that seem odd to you?
Bumble
The best way to stop starvation in Africa would be birth control, but that can't be mentioned to certain races, it is not the low birthrate among white nations causing starvation in Africa.
Bumble.
So due to global warming, all trade must end, not just food is transported around the world, but who says global warming is man-made, those with vested interests in the lie. Check weather patterns through the ages, it was climate change that caused the French revolution when they had several years of crop failures and in the 1960s here in the UK we had severe winters, that were so bad trains were caught in snowdrifts and required digging out. Climate change has never ended since the planet was formed.
Theosus.
I read that the CAP payments went to the person/company who owned the land not the farmer if they are tenants.
Like here most of the farmland in France is owned by businesses or wealthy landowners, such as the likes of Lord Heseltine the great remoaner in chief.
From what I understand arable farming doesn't have that many issues, it's dairy/livestock that is really struggling but mainly through competition for cheap food.
I cannot believe is this day and age of global warming etc we are still importing lamb from New Zealand, how can that be aloud to happen?????
Reward farmers fairly and the UK can feed itself.
The UK is already largely self - sufficient in the production of grains producing over 100% of domestic consumption of oats and barley and over 90% of wheat.
It's about time the world got together and looked at ways to try and put an end to starvation in the poorest parts of Africa.
Surely just sending grain or rice or whatever isn't the answer especially if western countries are going to struggle with supply.
I don't know the answers but couldn't desalination plants be built along coastal countries and turn vast areas of Somalia, Sudan etc into far more productive farming land? It'll cost a shed load of money but the issues are not going away.
I suppose the fact that many of these countries always seem to be in some sort of conflict doesn't help.
One of my "poor" farming friends will be telling me how little money he has then in the next breath talking about the latest six figure sports car he's test driven!
Cos gazzleberry is nob rot .
Gate
Yes i know , i like to play silly bugg~ers with him .
The reality Brixton is Gazzleberry is just a troll looking to find a home for his self-righteous leftie diatribe.
" how would you know if anyone on this board is a shareholder or not " . Gazz it's called intuition .
Think that's the word ? .
I don't want to see in your arrogant vacuous canister thanks. You won't answer my question so I won't waste more bandwidth on you Gazzleberry.
TFE
LOL. I couldn't have summed it up better......
I do mean peddle of course. You are correct in that.
As I said I have changed career now but am still LSE Registered Representative qualified. Was a dustman your career then ?
I'll ask for a 3rd time. Why did you choose the Lloyds BB when you are not a shareholder in Lloyds ?
Gate.
He's just another embittered Sanctimonious leftwing
B u l l s h i t t e r.
There's a reason he walks up a few hills in subzero temperatures on his own and Brixton got it spot-on….. Billy no mates probably sums him up.
I have another and simpler word….. p r a t t comes to mind.
Sanctimonious; making a show of being morally superior to other people. Just illustrated here with his last offering.
Steady gazz "pot kettle " .
*to pedal your agenda
(Spelling mistake)
Well as it happens Gazzleberry, ironically I am a registered representative of the London Stock Exchange having passed my exam a long time ago when I worked for a stockbroker. I then took a number of exams in a change of career. But let's not turn this into a p*ssing contest.
I'm merely curious as to why you have chosen the Lloyds BB for pedal your agenda.
Gazzlebury 17th April 2022
“ Well, if you believe banks are investable and provide an excellent return then crack on”
I think I’ve found the answer to my question. Why have you chosen Lloyds BB in particular, to pedal your agenda out of curiosity ?
Gazzleberry
"As for whether I am a Lloyds shareholder is none of your business."
That answer lets people draw their own conclusions as to whether you are a Lloyds shareholder or not and what your real motives are on here. I suspect pedalling your left wing drivel is your predominant raison d'etre.
gazzle
"whether I am a Lloyds shareholder is none of your business"
No, it is everyones business when meeting you on a lloyds chat forum. You don't need to disclose your position, but it seems fair to state whether or not you hold lloyds.
Otherwise whybother being here?
gazzle
"There is very little sensible discussion about Lloyds on this board anyway".
Facts are limited, so is news; I suppose the rest is chat. It ends up as confrontational between different peoples personal values and how much you can be bothered to respond to the lies, mistruths and spin that a few peddle here. I still appreciate the posters who are well informed, plus a few that are funny. The rest is background noise. It doesn't seem that hard to see who is who.
