I made a reference to Stobart as that whole operation seemed to be a shambles, but no longer relevant to the current LDG 'business' - if you can call a pot of cash a business - because, as I recall, DBay made a significant investment and I would suggest not without some big risks, to save it and turn it around thus saving the majority of the worker's jobs, before selling it off at a premium to enable the formation of LDG and what we have today - a big pot of cash equating to approx. 19p per share that at some point will be re-invested or whatever and we will all be happy investors, fingers crossed.
If anybody did a disservice to the Stobart employees I would think it was the various Stobart Group Director's or BOD's that made such a mess of it in the first place.
Best forgotten now, let's move forward with LDG and trust DBay to steer it in the right direction for us.
After all, what else can we do?
And so the stobart trucks will echo the sound of silence once twice profit profit no kindness to the workers who make the business $$$
Stobart trucks and livery are being replaced by the Culina livery - slowly the Stobart name will disappear
People Call US SAD SO Just SAY That WE DON`T Give A ****
When There Spotting AN Eddie Stobart Truck
Transan
Have you got any examples of DBay screwing over shareholders?.
I was a Harvey Nash shareholder and miffed when they took it over for a bargain price but there wasn’t any practice associated with how they did it
That's just charming, Transan!
Sadly of course, you may well be right - it's certainly been a long and bumpy road since the Stobart days and I see from today's RNS that a lot of the same old names are big shareholders, but hopefully DBay will help steer a decent course through all of this and do the right thing by PI's like us.
Only time will tell but I will keep my oven gloves handy just in case!
This lot will screw you
Well that didn't take long to dip back below 14p, how long before we're back where we started?
Incredible how the SP ebbs and flows, hopefully we'll see a more sustained rise once the buyback begins and DBay subsequently get investing the cash properly.
Fingers crossed, hopefully they don't get too burnt along the way!
The craziness continues. Just sold another holding to buy even more at 13.9p. Thank you Mr Market ??
20-40 % upside at least
FIAT
Most pi have not got the x factor lol
why would u sell now? :/ strange!
fiat - EXACTLY that, wtf?
Here's the real question:
A company with a cash value of over 19p just announced a 20% share buyback to begin at the end of February.
Who on earth is selling at 14.7p? Did they just not understand the news, saw the price rise a bit and panic sell?
MAJ101
CAPITAL RETURN TO SHATRHOLDERS YOU AND ME
20PENCE IS FAIR VALUE IMHO BEEN WAITING FOR YEARS
Considering how much we've moved up in the past... 30 minutes since open, we could be well over the NAV by the time the buyback happens... The price is basically whatever we are at the end of February + what ~£25m in buyback does.
Yes the nominal value is an accounting figure, they will most likely buy in the open market. This is positive for SP but the buyback won’t start for a few months.
Because Dbay own more than 30% any increase in their stake (through reducing the share count after buyback) could trigger a requirement to take the company over, so they need a waiver on this from takeover panel (quasi government)
What price could they pay?
In simple words wat does this RNS mean?
Some news at last! Any news better than nothing.
I think the £0.01 refers the 'ordinary share value' not the price they intend to pay; surely when the time comes they will have to pay nearer current market value, maybe as much as the NAV?
As I said before, I'm definitely no expert here, but that would seem logical I think.
Watching with interest today.
0.01 is the nominal value of the share and nothing to do with the buyback price.
This is great news and should push the share price back to a more realistic value.
guys, never been in this situation before... what does this actually mean? Imagine you're telling a 5 year old! :-)
NO NO NO 0.01 IS JUST A NORMAL RNS WAY THE PRICE WOULD BE MUCH MUCH HIGHER
Indeed. Interested to see how this moves today.
