European Diamond’s latest discovery, Western Europe’s first seam in Finland, is not its first success. Roy Spencer, the chief executive and a geologist with more than 30 years' experience including a stint at diamond giant De Beer’s, also helped to find the Archangel diamond deposits in Russia in the mid-1990s.
WHERE IS Roy now after leaving Artic Star is the more sensibly question .
Why was Artic put on care and repair ?
Far too many connections to a Major company ???
All seems odd after such a recovery of mirco and macro diamonds from 250kg samples
· Karelian Diamond Resources has agreed to acquire the diamond mining permit over the Lahtojoki project in Finland from A&G Mining Oy for EUR150,000 plus a royalty. Karelian will pay an initital EUR50,000,
It’s left as the first lot wasn’t economic so they didn’t bother
A &G stocked piled the waste form the lake side and buried the real gem site under it all.
The local use to visit the heaps and extract tiny diamonds for jewelry.
least do research before you make bold false statements !!!
tons of bull sample sat there just google earth lahtojoki you can see it.!!!
ffs
They cant bulk sample the heaps until a mining license is confirmed .

LAHTOJOKI SOUTH EXPLORATION UPDATE
? Additional Kimberlite Boulders recovered to South of Lahtojoki Diamond Deposit
? Search area for the source of these Kimberlite Boulders narrowed down
? Application submitted for new exploration permit licence area
Karelian Diamond Resources plc (AIM: KDR), the diamond exploration company focused on Finland, is
pleased to announce results from its ongoing diamond exploration programme in the Lahtojoki South
exploration area. Observations on till samples, together with glacial striation measurements from outcrops,
suggest a narrowing down of the search area for the source of the kimberlite boulders previously discovered
to the south of the Lahtojoki diamond deposit.
Results from the analysis at the Geological Survey of Finland Mintec Laboratory facility of twenty five 60kg till
samples recovered south of the Lahtojoki diamond deposit, together with glacial striation measurements
from outcrops in the Lahtojoki south exploration permit licence area, indicate an alternative glacial trend
direction to the main regional glacial trend in the area of 335 degrees.
The information the Company has gained from this analysis has narrowed down the search area for the
source of the kimberlite boulders previously discovered.
It’s left as the first lot wasn’t economic so they didn’t bother (stupid clueless statement from commin expert of kdr ,not another one !!!
lol what ever
It’s took years after announcing the Irish licence to put a few shovels of gravel in a bag. The company are pretending that they have done work at lahtojoki when the kimberlite has been full of water for years. Everything lahtojoki is from European diamonds work who couldn’t raise funds after bull sampling. FFS there’s tons of bull sample sat there just google earth lahtojoki you can see it. It’s left as the first lot wasn’t economic so they didn’t bother
The only thing we are going to be selling at this rate are those shovels donated by Irish mouse at a car boot sale !

Is this RNS to be included in a book of fairytales. some little girl found a diamond in a river years ago and now some people real or otherwise have walked the short distance form their houses with spades and tesco bags took some samples and sent them off to Canada. Will they be digging up the giants causeway next because the giant was rumoured to have left some golden eggs at the exact spot of the end of a rainbow.
