It’s stretching things a bit to assume that De Beers stopped drilling because they discovered base metals. More like they didn’t discover sufficient evidence of kimberlites.
I think BT’s comment on huge melting pot was a change from ‘huge mixing…’ to ‘huge melting…’ as opposed to ‘huge nickel…’
Target area A drilling was a technical and geological success but isn’t likely to be a commercial.
End of drilling at Target area B should be end of November and the onset of the rains will mean a tight window to get a drill into Ditau.
One thing that I still not clear about is whether KAV identified the source of the conductance reading for the first hole, or whether they stopped drilling it too early?
Ben's oral presentation is outstanding, speaks fluently for 45 mins with no ums or rrs and is able to give detailed and incisive geological information. The presentation is better the 10 minute Jeremy Brett because it shows The Great Red Spot from the side in 3D. GRS1 didn't miss by much 200-400m and the latest views give a lot more confidence going into the B drills.
I'm excited by the prospect/possibility of back to back, or indeed simultaneous, drilling at all of our projects. Personally, it would be great if we took this diamond rig to Ditau, and used POW's multipurpose rig at its nearby Tati project for the KCB. The delay in this EMP for the KCB could work out in our favour in the end if it results in all three projects being drilled in the near term.
Whatever happens, there is a LOT of news flow to come here over the coming months and beyond. A very exciting time indeed, with arguably the most exciting period being the next 8 weeks at target area B.
Yes, that bit is very interesting.
Got to say, Ben is really producing some excellent media and comms. It makes it a very nice experience being invested here - a far cry from lots of companies where shareholders have no idea what’s going on for months on end. This board is nice too :-)
Suggests people look at the First Equity video - particularly from 30.26 where BT talks about bringing in a partner and initial reactions to photos of core.

If KAV's belief is correct and 'the diamond company' abandoned the drill hole at less than 200m, presumably because they had found metals, then that suggests drilling at Ditau won't need to be very deep. I haven't done a lot of research on Ditau.
Nice to see larger buys coming through.

KAV have just tweeted the youtube video with First Equity. Clearly wanting to keep investors and potential investors informed of the prospects.

Very good update - suspect this will trigger a few buys.

Quote from Target A: "so much interesting looking core" - accelerating desire to get assays.

Hi Tk95,
Do you have a link?
New stockbox video out. Also explains what was the turn of events at ditau. Major firm drilled at our priority target to look for kimberlites. They abandoned the hole because no kimberlite there which increases the possibility the anomaly is a base metal body. we hold the base metal rights at ditau
Professor - you're right. Now the question is how much to read into it. Could have been just misspeaking or could have been a last second catch.....
PLEASE LISTEN VERY VERY CAREFULLY FROM ABOUT 2.10 MINS. BEN WAS ABOUT TO SLIP UP AND VERY QUICKLY CHANGES HIS WORDS.
I THINK HE WAS JUST ABOUT TO SAY " what we are LOOKING AT is a HUGE NICKEL....." THEN QUICKLY CHANGES TO SAY
"what we are looking at is a " HUGE MELTING POT....."
Thanks F79 - so should now be within the next 5 days or so. Exciting times....
You posted the link which has the information you've asked for in it Ella.

Watch around 5:30 mins in 'within the next weeke or so'.
any thought on when target B drilling will start?
It will start when they say it will
The RNS still hasn't made it onto the LSE website.

With the road in place and the drill pads ready it can't be long before we get confirmation that we've started drilling target B. We finished drilling target A yesterday morning - any thought on when target B drilling will start?
I think sending the cores off now, rather than together at end of programme, is to be expected after the last RNS Jdough.
They will want to get as much data as soon as possible for them to understand what's what. To digest, interpret etc.
I wouldn't read too much into it confidence wise.
I'm keeping open minded about expectations from these cores in terms of copper results but certainly is interesting potential.
Bring on drill b

"We will release an update whenever we have anything price sensitive
Our plan now is to send the Target Area A samples off for assay once the core is cut, rather than wait for the B cores
Timings are out of hands but we will move as quickly as we can "
Change of plan - now sending off Target A ASAP rather than waiting until the end of the campaign, as originally planned.
My view is that this means they are very keen to get results of A1 and A2 known and announced quickly. Must be totally confident that they will help confirm the narrative and support proof of concept.
Then B results come in on top....
Must emphasise - this is just my view, not investment advice etc...
Really looking forward to next few weeks!
