If we hit 10p by end of April I will be a happy man - see this more 7-8p following final year accounts; hopefully get a forecast prediction as well as this should also have an impact on the SP. GLA

I think that the business is already profitable but as they ramp up production to keep ahead of demand it will probably be a while before this become apparent and like all businesses in this position there will be growing pains. Also, it probably isn't easy to employ new staff at the moment, so that could be a negative.
When growth companies announce results, there is also a tendency for them to disappoint the market, simply because they are looking back, rather than forward, so we could see a less than enthusiastic response to the results. However, it is usually the case that in the weeks after results are announced that the SP will revalue.
Basically, we still have to continue to be patient.
Hi Ivor
Have seen on various websites that the full year results are due out on the 5th of April, nothing official from Itaconix yet, but would expect the we would get notification the week before , so last week in March, as you say this will not only give us last years figures, but a look at what we have achieved in the 1st quarter. I am expecting to see even more positive moves forward in the light of the two VP's having had time to settle into their roles, increasing sales, more effective, efficient & streamlined operations, with improving margins.
Think we need to build on the base we have maximise our potential and see where this takes us.
If we were to be bought over, I would be looking at something between 25/50p as a good starting point.
But what will be will be.
As has been stated already, think we will drift at this sort of level for a few weeks and then we will start to pick up into and beyond the results.
Target still 10p by the end of April (should never really set targets eh, just for fun lol)

Things are a bit quiet here, but I imagine the full year results will be accompanied by unaudited results for Q1, so maybe out late April or early May. I am a long term holder since the 1.5p days and have noticed that when ITX announce results the market is usually disappointed and the price weakens. This is because the market is always over-optimistic and never appreciates how long it takes to build a company virtually from scratch. Neil Woodford fell into the same trap. It's going to take a few years to build the company, but the results for Q1 should raise hopes and it would be good to see the sp rise back to the 8p it touched recently.
I don't see why a bid for the company should not succeed - IP Group would certainly welcome a profit, although I don't know what they paid. The Hargreaves Lansdown holding is composed of individual small shareholders who would accept a profit so that's 26%, and investors like myself would certainly be interested in a bid over 10p. So it could happen. For the moment the sp will do little (as I predicted here some time ago) because the punters have moved on, but they could well be back in April hoping for good results.
Hi Chilting
Thanks for your thoughts on M&A, I know that the consensus is that we are flat out, meeting the needs of our expanding customer base, but is just a bit quiet for me at the moment, almost like a news blackout, maybe there are negotiations going on in the background, who knows, I am sure that it is all positive stuff that is happening.
As a long term holder here, you have a really good insight into Itaconix.
Do you see the next RNS (results) as a turning point for us, or will that be when we reach breakeven and start to move into profit? what are your hopes going forward?
It is good to get other perspectives.

I don't think that it would be easy for one of the big boys to take out ITX.
As at the end of last year, John owned 10.25%, other Directors 5%, IP Group 11.2% and angel investor Guy Broadbent 5%.
The other shares seem to be in the sticky hands of private investors, with Hargreaves Lansdown Asset Management customers holding 14.9%.
If someone did start heavy buying on the market, the SP would shoot up.
Hi Chilting
Hopefully we are allowed to at least get into profit and reach a share price that reflects the companies actual worth, before we are taken out by one of the big boys, I am sure that with everything there will be a price that John would have in mind and I am sure that the likes of Croda would not want to bet into a bidding war?
This may be pie in the sky, but Croda seem to be making all the right noises as regards what their targets are as a green and
sustainable company.
Sustainability - aligning our business with our Purpose and accelerating our customers' transition to sustainable ingredients.
Our bio-based raw material content is now 67% (2019: 63%). Leveraging our position in renewable raw materials, Croda enables our customers to meet their sustainability commitments, driven by consumer demand as well as regulatory change. In consumer care markets, we deliver this through ethical sourcing, sustainable manufacture, focusing more of our innovation on sustainable ingredients and through our ingredient transparency project. This project is responding to growing consumer demand for sustainable ingredients and the 'clean beauty' trend, where consumers want to know what is in the products they use, as well as how well they perform. Our ECO biosurfactant plant enables us to produce sustainable ingredients that deliver identical performance to their petrochemical peers, with customers in both the home care and personal care markets adopting these bio-based surfactants during 2020.
Either way they are good to have as a valued client.
Lots of exciting times ahead, another day closer to results and more importantly and update on where we are and what we have to look forward to.

I think that If Croda are interested they will allow ITX to develop commercially before they make an approach.
I don't think that they will be interested in growing the company, they will realise that the current management team are best placed to do that.
Eventually, they could make John an offer that he couldn't refuse - remember he is a major shareholder - hopefully that will be 3 or 4 years away at least.
Croda will take interest at some point
Hi Surfie1961 to clarify the drop was expected as the shares was roller-coasted by the market band wagon , the value now is fair but on new news should reach back to 8p to 12p.
Its how the markets work
I certainly hope so Andreukdealer cos we have seen a rapid 35% descent in around 6 weeks.
Hi Andrew
I think until we at least get a date for the release of the full year results and the actual numbers
, then we will continue to drift at these levels.
Think there is a lot of dry powder sitting on the sidelines waiting for this, at the moment a lack of news is holding us back, to start getting some forward momentum, then I think we need this to happen.
In the light of this happening sooner rather than later, do we have any predictions as to where we stand as regards sales revenue and on our profit/loss figures for the year?
I am still sticking to the date being the 5th of April for results, but will be delighted if this happens sooner.
Once we can see the numbers and the impact on revenue of the two new V.P's then I thing we will start to fly again.
If the numbers are as we expect then does this make us more of a target for the big boys?
Points to ponder, good times just around the corner I think.
