Seriously ?????
I see trees so green, red roses too
I see them bloom for me and you.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
I see skies so blue and clouds so white.
The bright blessed day, the dark sacred night.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
The colors of the rainbow so pretty in the sky
Are also on the faces of people going by.
I see friends shaking hands saying how do you do.
They're really saying I love you.
I hear babies crying, I watch them grow.
They'll learn much more than I'll ever know.
And I think to myself what a wonderful world.
Yes I think to myself what a wonderful world

I really do not see why any of us needs to waste posts on this guy in my opinion we can look forward to some very good times in the near future, The last month has been great so let’s hope we can keep it nicely on track . Still a cheap share to buy good luck and well done to all who have kept faith .
Tom, there is nothing wrong with balanced debate. But (under the Tom London user name) you have been posting only on this company's message board continuously for almost 6 months when the share price was 60p. Every single post has been claiming that ITV is overvalued. Despite your persistent negativity during your time on here the share price has risen by approx 90%.
Back in November you also informed us that Astrazenica was going to "surge". It was at £87 at the time - it is now less than £72.
You have announced on here that you sold ITV at 82p in order to buy Shell at £9.40. The briefest of investigation in the share price history of both companies would reveal that was a lie.
The point of all this has nothing to do with balanced debate - it is that you talk utter rubbish, and people call you out on it as is their right.
Alex......... "ITV has pulled its dividend and paid down debt. So unlike others it has not had to raise funds to survive ... so when the dividend is reinstated expect another leg up."
Agreed Alex. Carolyn McCall acted very quickly and did the right thing. Other companies like RYA is burning through a Billion Euros per Quarter. ITV are a well run company and will live on, other companies won't survive this epidemic.
Alex......... "The SP started 2020 about 145p"
In fact Alex the ITV share price started the year 2020 at 151p, but you weren't far out mate.
"Nige, we can all choose a farthest suits our argument but it could be anywhere between October 2019 or the first lockdown."
3 card, look at the chart? The week commencing 17/2/20 was the start of the Covid crash (it's the same chart for a lot of share prices) when the ITV share price was at 136p. If you want to go back even further at Christmas Eve 2019 ITV share price closed at 152.75p. So it could be argued that at the end of the year markets knew about Covid and started the decline well before the impact of the crash on 17/2/20.
I’d sold out of my major holdings by 27 Feb, prompted by a CNBC interview with Paul Tudor Jones. He said words to the effect that if the virus came to the west it would be devastating for markets. The risk was known by then and markets were sliding. So 27 Feb doesn’t represent “before” Covid-19.
3cardbrag. The SP started 2020 about 145p, so it’s no where near were it was? As the news came out of China all shares slid, before falling like a stone when it became clear that we had a pandemic on our hands. ITV has pulled its dividend and paid down debt. So unlike others it has not had to raise funds to survive ... so when the dividend is reinstated expect another leg up.
Sp was 119p on 27 Feb and half that a couple of weeks later
Typo. Date that suits
Nige, we can all choose a farthest suits our argument but it could be anywhere between October 2019 or the first lockdown.
On the news of Euros, ITV SP gone up to 155 in 2019 and drifted down slowly along with the rest of the market once the covid thing kicked off.
I think below list can push ITV easily to over £1.50+
- Euros
- FTSE100 entry
- dividend announcement
- Britbox
- Love Island
- WorldCup

3card............ "The SP is now more or less back to where it was just before covid hit"
I would have to disagree, Covid struck week commencing 17/2/19 when ITV share price was at 136p, so still some way to go yet before we have recovered Covid losses, but we're getting there slowly but surely.
Why is everyone assuming that the oh so slow reopening of our economy is in itself going to push ITV shares to new highs.
The SP is now more or less back to where it was just before covid hit and yet we know from announcements that profits will not have fully recovered and no dividend yet.
And let's not assume that the return of football will be our saviour. Most people in this country haven't had any sort of a holiday for 12 months or more and that is where their priority will lie, getting out and enjoying themselves, not sitting in watching footie.
I was surprised by today's increase and hope it continues but if it still creeps up prior to results day, I'll be cashing in before they are announced and getting back in after the drop.
And you can all spend the rest of your lives gloating on here if I'm wrong.
Logistically (due to Covid) to avoid footie fans flying around different countries it makes sense to hold the Euros in one place. Also we are so far ahead of other countries in terms of vaccinations plus we have all the infrastructure, testing logistics and stadium capacities. I'm sure the penny will soon drop at UEFA and the UK will get the tournament which will give a decent boost to ITV's SP.
Rock8. Not sure if you were referring to my post there but if so please don't lecture me on whose post I may respond to. Also i wasn't being witty, i was merely pointing out what appeared to be a factual error in that Mary Magdalen was only a bit part, not to be confused with JC's mum.
As regards the filtering, who are you kidding. Everyone has Tom on filter supposedly but I suspect they all take a peep at his posts.
I am sure your remarks are witty but please remember the ‘head case’ irritant named ‘TomLondon’ is filtered by most viewing this BB.
Regards
Tom. Have you got the right Mary there? I think she is only a C lister
Yes Nigel World Cup in 2022.
A UK based Euros would certainly increase interest and revenues.
Fortunately last year ITV never had to pay the £50m programming costs but if it’s held in the UK with a relaxed lockdown that will be a real audience and advertising revenue spinner.
Last year they would never have recouped the £50m but this year they should make a nice profit!
Exciting times for ITV.
The football Euro's this summer & next years World Cup always gives a nice boost to advertising, especially the World Cup. Some fans maybe also back in attendance. Bring it on.
Offer of UK (from today’s Times) to host entire tournament rather than just semi and finals would be a welcome boost to ITVs advertising revenues and the whole UKs spirits.
