I averaged down yesterday at 375. Can’t see it getting below 350 at worst as we bounced off there a few times in the not so distant past. I’ve not seen any recent TO murmurings however Q3 results were ok and we are on guidance for full year. So things should improve on final results. I’m hopeful of 475 or better by June
Arghh, this is getting really painful, seems there is no end to the demise of the SP, anyone see any light at the end of the tunnel for this one.
Is there another bid brewing in the background, so price driven down for all those in the know to make more on the rise?? Call me a skeptic but I've seen that so many times now.
Time to sit it out again, put it in the bottom drawer (or even below that!) and stop looking at this one I think.
Hope so, after the day I've had with Flybe! Knowing my luck these will drop. Sorry not a happy bunny.
SP moving up this morning on small volume??? Bid could be back on...??
Seems like a rapid rise happening in last hour or so....looking for any news but cannot find anything.... isat bumbling along at this level now for a good few weeks, bounces up rapidly to circa 420 ish then back down to £4ish. Is this just orders being filled before news is released of another bid and big step up?
MM's doing their bit to keep it low until news release on bid.....or is this just me wishful thinking before tanking lower??
Holding onto quite a large investment that is considerably worth less than when I bought in... patience is a virtue ...up to a point! Here's hoping for some tangible good news soon
No worries. It's not easy for small shareholders to keep up on everything but one would hope LSE would!
Thank for that. Rather bizarrely as a small shareholder (hence I don't monitor too closely) I am reassured to know that!!
The LSE fundamentals page is out of date. Divi end of last year was 0.12c. Latest interim was 0.8c. Makes yield about 3.75% based on £4.18 SP depending on ex rates.
Alarm bells start to ring with me when large, apparently well managed, companies have a dividend yield of 10% plus.
Any thoughts?
The Competition Appeal Tribunal (CAT) in London today handed down its judgment dealing with ViaSat’s challenge to Ofcom’s January 2018 authorisation of Inmarsat’s UK complementary ground component (CGC) forming part of Inmarsat’s European Aviation Network (EAN). Inmarsat says the tribunal comprehensively found in favour of Ofcom and Inmarsat and determined that all of ViaSat’s arguments failed. On that basis, the Tribunal dismissed ViaSat’s case.
Arbitrators sided with Inmarsat in the company’s ongoing dispute with RigNet about a satellite capacity contract from 2014 that RigNet canceled. A panel at the International Centre for Dispute Resolution concluded that a take-or-pay obligation from the January 2014 contract had commenced and that RigNet owed Inmarsat $50.8 million. As an interim ruling, RigNet said it is not required to pay anything to Inmarsat until after the panel rules on “Phase II counterclaims,” which is expected in the spring of 2019. RigNet said the amount owed is subject to any offsets from its counterclaims during the Phase II arbitration. In a statement to SpaceNews, Inmarsat said it is “very pleased with [the] result of the first phase of arbitration.”

Despite everything else tanking.
The chap who wrote article 50 was on the telly earlier. If we were to unilaterally revoke the letter, membership would be reinstated on the original terms. Neither side would have any right to change them. So, yes.
Looks like Brexit is history after EU court decided UK can cancel Article 50. So is Galileo participation back on ?
Think the idea of the UK building it's own constellation of navigation satellites is a Brexiteer fantasy. We're not going to have £5B lying around. We'll keep using the US one.
Would think it's likely Inmarsat is a strong contender for bids to build UKs own satellite network post the Galileo decision.
6 months will be around 10th dec when a firm can make another offer after being rejected
Who knows another rally?
Strong buy at this level imo
I never believed broker notes.
The 390pis BS...so far removed from most other ..holding tight at 425p average. Good dividend, good chance of hitting £5 and beyond soon. Undervalued.
Hold target 390, not so good!
Deutsche note today retains Buy, lowers target to 560 from 570. Interestingly, yesterdays notes from Cazenove reiterated Neutral at 580 and RBC Sector Perform at 625. If aviation continues to climb, these will look seriously cheap IMO.
... and occurring as part of product migration. Winning a decent share of the high value VSAT market. That will hopefully right the ship once the roll out is completed. Pun intended.
yeah i added at 488! ;((( Sure its unwarranted. Overall profits up. its only 5% of 36% - 1.5% overall - and it was made good by other areas - so seems a bit unfair on the drop....especially since its dropped from the 500-510 range.
Seems big concern over the fall in profits in what is the largest part of the business even though the expanding in flight business is more than making up for it si far. I bought back in yesterday on the drop. Hoping to make back some more of my previous losses here. I think we are unlikely to visit previous lows of 350 but if we do I’ll be looking to add heavily
