so announcement of a new appointment of rebecca wiles, a lady with high credentials coming onboard from bp and all anyone on here can do is **** of the rampers, derampers and whoever else puts their half pennies worth of drivel on this chat board.
i for one find this information very encouraging for the near and the longer term and shows that tullow has the ability to attract key players in the industry to its fold....surely a very positive sign that things are looking up.
anyone interested this is a link to the ladies bp profile

I get the fact that I will not be given information that isn't privy to all. The point is to make them aware of growing discontent among shareholders. If nobody said anything as is the case in so many avenues of life these days.. then they just continue on the path of least resistance blissfully unaware that we, the investors are frustrated with their performance, their pay, their bonuses etc, and they just carry on with their silence.... if on the other hand everyone with a vested interest tells them directly of their frustration, anger....hope? Maybe something will come of it.....maybe...
So in despair at this pile of $%***! I sent the below email to Tullow!! Please fel free to do like wise to the email info@tullowoil.com
Hello
I am a small time private investor and have held Tullow shares in my portfolio for some years now and all I can say is what a mistake that has been. The performance of this company and its share price has been absolutely woeful and continues to deteriorate on a daily basis without any word from the BoD. WHat on earth are you doing to stop this catastrophic decline in the value of Tullow, the value of shareholders holdings and the destruction of investors confidence that the company is on the ball and trying to turn this ship.
Even after the high prices of oil in the recent year or so, nothing positive from tlw?
Awful performance.
Can anyone there at the end of email give me some kind of reassurance that anybody cares about this company going forwards and pulling it out of this spiraling quagmire you have put tullow into.?
A concerned investor
OPEC , absolutely agree. This is a defunct system that controls global prices and is the bully boy of economies!! The whole reason in my opinion why they are not ramping up production is due to the fact if people recall that in the first global lock down oil prices went negative, holders of oil were paying people to take oil off their hands as there was no storage facilities 'globally' that were not full to capacity....nobody wanted oil and none was being used..... now 2/3 years on they are recouping their blip in their trillion dollar industry and ringing every last cent out of the world economy to pay back their dent in their gigantuous dollar accounts!! When will they open up more production? Only the cartel know the answer to that, a lot more pain to come for the everyday person I think for a while yet.
OPEC should be gone, it is a monopoly, controlled by iindividulas under the banner of oil producing countries whose only interest is make as much money as is possible from this situation. There is no excuse not to ramp up production that I can see. It would help every economy in the worls which is suffering at the moment, from prices of food, manufacturing, transport.....absolutley everything day to day.
More dilution.....????? christ how much more can this share price have! Sat on this for years now, forgotten about it really in the bottom drawer, but maybe, just maybe something is round the corner!! Dream, dream, dream, la,la, la la!!
Yikes, so what news out today that has caused this to tank so badly, I have not seen an RNS or anything but sure there is some news of doom for this ill fated share that I bought into......along with Tullow I am not having a great time of this at the moment. No point in selling out now, its either going to recover or cease trading, may as well stay for the long (longer) haul and see what happens.
Good luck all whatever you decide to do. Lots of PI down here I think.
No buyers, no volume, gradual decline in SP versus good on the ground progress, broker update +ve, cash generating, coal price going up......... yet still volume per day, if there is any at all, is less than my personal holding value of these shares!! These are bottom drawer for me and have been for years now but the moths are getting fatter and the shares a bit more shabby!!! COme on need something to get this kick started in the buyers minds. Holding on for something but not sure what!
Don't think the exchange rate can really explain this, after all there was a large spike up to 6.19 2 days back, something else must be going on to get such a large spike up. Dropping back slightly last two days but still well above SP buy out.
SP down yesterday and today on HMRC case from years back on unpaid revenue on satellite launches that seems to have gone against ISAT, although they had accointed for this already over the years to the tune of £100m
Hoping that the gap gets filled back up to 6.19 over the next week or so or it may just trickle back down to the 5.70 mark.
Who knows really what is going on behind the scenes, surely not us lowly private investors in any case. !!
I wondered if anyone had any idea why the SP keeps trickling up each day and now to a level above where the buy out offer per share was set. Seems odd that anyone wants to buy the share at this level if it is taken over with a price per share set and agreed lower, unless the deal is not done and the there is something else afoot.....anyone any thoughts.
Sounds like good news but why oh why is absolutely no one buying any shares in MCM. I have held here for so long, it's slow like a big tanker trying to change direction but it's gathering pace, positive news comes and goes, DB always giving out the good news with positivity and yet no shift in the SP, the spread is huge and we get a couple of trades a day of a thousand shares or so. With this looking to have so much prospect for the future and now producing coal (and cash) all be it small quantities from its recent acquisitions can we not or should we not be expecting prospective investors to start trading in these shares.....it's just so stagnant that it really makes me wonder what is really happening here.
It's all good news but when do people start to invest in this and buy these shares, there is no volume at all, you would think that on a daily basis something would be bought and sold, but this is just painfull.
Holding now for such a long time on these, patience is king though and these are just tucked away until these shares actually start trading...it is so slow though, even on steady feed of news.
Still the sp is better than when it was sitting at 17p!! just wish I had bought more then and averaged down more.
I thought that todays good news might have got some reaction, Ho-hum more sit and wait.
Arghh, this is getting really painful, seems there is no end to the demise of the SP, anyone see any light at the end of the tunnel for this one.
Is there another bid brewing in the background, so price driven down for all those in the know to make more on the rise?? Call me a skeptic but I've seen that so many times now.
Time to sit it out again, put it in the bottom drawer (or even below that!) and stop looking at this one I think.
Seems like a rapid rise happening in last hour or so....looking for any news but cannot find anything.... isat bumbling along at this level now for a good few weeks, bounces up rapidly to circa 420 ish then back down to £4ish. Is this just orders being filled before news is released of another bid and big step up?
MM's doing their bit to keep it low until news release on bid.....or is this just me wishful thinking before tanking lower??
Holding onto quite a large investment that is considerably worth less than when I bought in... patience is a virtue ...up to a point! Here's hoping for some tangible good news soon
Crikey, now there we go, I have held onto these for years, always hoping but never really believing the day would come when they would start to rise again.
Now all I need is all my other dog shares to go up (HOC; KAZ; LLOY; TLW!!!) and I might get back into this share game!! Lol.
Long may the rise continue!!
Have we found a bit of support at 5.00, seems to dip under slightly last few days then finish above 5, hopefully will hold and turn around soon, this is proving to be a stubborn black mark on my portfolio, below 5 and down she goes again I think.... just hope not the lows of April to May!
Any thoughts on this one as everything seems to be very quiet from the BOD, reckon they all still on holidays!!
.......Somebody in the know has got on it and is now winging their way to some tasty profit, did I hear the term inside trading being mentioned, mmmm try and police that one in reality, MM making killing, their rich clients making a killing.....the poor Pi's lose most times in these situations as they cannot afford or have the nerve to hold for the release and rebound. I am in deep and holding as this will come back, maybe not quickly as too many political shenanigans going on round the globe, politics driving share prices again and not company fundamentals, not alot you can do but ride the storm if you can afford to!
Good luck all.
And down we go some more.....no surprises here really, got used to this over the years as my holding diminishes and hope drifts away!!!! Something is not really right with this company after all the +ve snippets of news there is no volume, just continuing drip drip drip lower I have always seen this one as a high risk punt but it's just so......stagnant! I have no intention of selling out as the loss on this is so historic it makes no real difference to me now, I just wish it would do something +ve for a change after all the hopeful comments that come from DB and the BOD although not official RNS one would think that there would be a little more interest and volume even from some PI speculators.....but nothing, just the MM moving it down further. Oh well live and learn.....definitely learnt something from this one and that is to trade in something that has volume and movement, this is just too painfully boring!
