I'm hoping it's a monumental deal as opposed to a great deal Spud ;))) Merry Xmas to you all
Better to make a GREAT deal than a GOOD deal ! Lol
Merry Christmas infa bb ;)))
'Better to make a "GOOD" deal - than a BAD deal in haste, agreed?'
Agreed....but luckily we have JW going in to bat and not Theresa May!
Yes the negotiating is tough for both sides.....but it is not that rushed and have been at advanced stage for a long while. Whilst the 23 cavern scenario is newish to us, I very strongly expect it is something that JW has had on the cards all along, that came across after speaking to him in London. I think JW is well prepared for the skirmish and both sides are well aware of the target date....IMO this is all already wrapped up ....we will be fine.....personally I would much rather see the target date fulfilled......it is more professional.....it is not as if the festivities have suddenly crept in as an surprise unanticipated factor.
However...whatever unfolds... GLA and Merry Christmas.
That could be a political synopsis of the brexit predicament right there lol. My hopeful view is we will get a cracking deal, unlike our elected representative. Go JW and bring on 7am 2mo :)
Good posts Mcadder! Shows global demand increasing while EU reliance on imports grow! EU £40mill grant application in.....
Yes Tony it has been mentioned on here before but good to remind everyone and let new investors know. Ireland's gas demand is only going one way

Europe’s weakening gas security
European gas production is forecast to fall while gas demand could be supported by changes in power generation in the mid-term. With flexibility of supply also weakening, there are risks to future winter supply security

Landfall of the Nord Stream pipeline in Germany Concerns about security and diversity of supply will continue to affect Europe’s willingness to increase the share of Russian gas in its supply mix. (Gazprom)
Output from leading European suppliers is forecast to decline during a period when demand could rise. Even if demand is flat, Europe’s supply/demand gap is still expected to widen in the mid-term. And it is not only the volume of indigenous production that is changing, the region’s seasonal supply flexibility is declining as well. As Europe becomes increasingly dependent on imports to meet its gas demand, and winter flexibility weakens, security of supply during the winter could be at risk.
what are they up to? gas-powered plant Belfast? have you guys seen this?

https://uk.reuters.com/article/china-economy-trade-fuel/chinas-lng-imports-hit-record-in-november-idUKB9N1YH02N
Dec 23 (Reuters) - China’s liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports hit record levels in November, customs data showed on Sunday, with traders rushing to buy the fuel as households and businesses crank up their heating over the freezing winter months.
LNG imports totaled 5.99 million tonnes in November, up 48.5 percent from the same month last year, data from the General Administration of Customs showed.
That surpassed the previous record of 5.18 million tonnes hit in January this year.
China has been pushing to switch parts of the country to gas for heating, shifting away from coal as it pushes to clean up its environment.
Yuuup. My eyes will be peeled for an RNS. I would be really surprised to see an RNS because who works this time of year signing finance deals? I'll be over the moon to be wrong though. Even if its a month or 2 away I will hold.
Jimmy00 'Funding announced tomorrow? What are the chances he will miss a deadline?'
Jimmy, we also have all of next Thursday and Friday (27th and 28th) which are both full stock exchange working days (therefore an RNS can come out on either day) to hit the target......... John Wood says they are on track......they will be on track.
I would bet my last silver dollar that the target is hit !
GLA !!
Also from 5th December
John Wood, Chief Executive Officer, commented: "It is testament to the team that we are building at InfraStrata that we have managed to deliver these milestones in a timely manner. As we progress through to the end of 2018, we are working hard to close out the equity funding for the Project. We are working through the process methodically to ensure we create maximum shareholder value. We are working to ensure we hit the ground running in 2019 with many work streams in progress"
As a shareholder this sentence is key!!
"We are working through this process methodically to ensure we create maximum shareholder value "
From 5th December "Completing this final milestone allows the team to concentrate on completing the negotiations that are underway with three potential equity providers that have provided the Company with term sheets for equity funding (at Project or subsidiary level). The term sheets are not binding and at this stage it is not guaranteed that InfraStrata will enter into a binding equity agreement. However, discussions are detailed and advanced and InfraStrata is still on track to provide a full update in Q4 2018 as previously stated." I prefer the term "hitting targets" as opposed to "hitting deadlines" lol.
Funding announced tomorrow? What are the chances he will miss a deadline?
Agree Mcadder.......this is a fairy story (but in the real world) that just gets betterer, much betterer and very much betterer !!!
Happy days.....GLA.
JW is indeed being very shrewd here - the recent developments imo will be helping us shareholders to retain the biggest possible percentage share of the project from stakeholders -
The completion of FEED and additional concept studies
Letter of intent from an offtaker
Application for £40M EU grant
Confirmation that 6 parties interested in offtake agreements
Application for additional 15 caverns
and now the recent land purchase.
Add to this over £11.5M spent on the project to date along with the extra value the existing EU grants, PCI status and UKGS - JW will be in a good bargaining position.
Therefore I expect any funding announcement to be very favourable indeed!
Yeah just ignore him, he'll get bored when he doesn't get a reaction :}
Yep- not taking the bait. Ignored.
Atb
He is trying to pi## you off that’s why so ignore the fool!
Just a heads up. I have a stalker on twitter that has set up an account @sir_eyeguy.
That isn’t me and he seems to be mocking infa now with his latest tweet. Not sure what his problem is.
Merry Christmas to all
Nice link Mcadder!

Nice to see Islandmagee actually labelled on the GIE Storage Map with a very prominent yellow triangle.......'Hey!...We're on the map' !

Press Release
19 December 2018
Existing gas storage capacity in Europe exceeded one petawatthour in 2018, shrinked against 2016
Gas storage capacity in EU28 represents 21% of annual gas consumption
Gas storage can accelerate development of renewable energy sources
Existing capacity dropped 4% over the last 2 years
Gas storage capacity stands at 1131 TWh and gas storage facilities across EU28 can deliver up to 22 TWh of natural gas per day. The storage capacity represents 21% of annual gas consumption1 in Europe.
The data is revealed by the latest edition of Storage Map 2018 published today and contains information on 156 storage sites run by 69 storage operators in EU28.
Mr. Jean-Marc Leroy, President of Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE) said: “I welcome the availability of gas storage capacities because I believe that gas storage will enhance the uptake of renewables into an integrated energy system, thereby providing the decarbonised gas market a sustainable future.”
Looking into the future, the role of gas storage will be extended from structuring natural gas supply and providing a back-up service for electricity generation today to becoming a driving force of a renewable energy system of tomorrow thanks to its capabilities to balance the energy system at a large scale and at different time frames.
The presence of gas storage will accommodate the storage of renewable and decarbonised gases which will result in a stronger supply and increased ability to store intermittent and variable renewable electricity sources. This will provide a higher level of clean energy without extensive network investments for the benefit of society.
The published data also shows that the existing storage capacity dropped 4% over the last 2 years, driven by decommissioning and a decrease in projects under construction or development. This trend results from the existing economic environment for the gas storage market in Europe.
I'm also extremely pleased with the situation. Only got 1.6m shares. But risk reward wise it was appropriate. Full funding will rerate this to £50m MCap imo. Can't wait! :)
I know I've said this before but perhaps the blue chip off-taker will be funding as well?
Look at this out of interest....
https://uk.webfg.com/news/aim-bulletin/blue-chip-utility-group-offers-to-fund-plutus-powergen-projects--2303504.html
'Blue chip utility group offers to fund Plutus Powergen projects
AIM-listed power company Plutus Powergen has received an offer by one of the ‘big six’ utility groups to fund up to 20% of any 20MW renewable fuel or gas powered flexible energy projects going forward.'
No reason why a large Blue chip can't fund a lot more than that % with the INFA project.
