I'm speechless.
It could boom. Full ask of 1.2 paid
Over 15m before 0930. £165K worth of shares. Looking good!
People beginning to realise the importance of that RNS re new potential funder coming to the table?
As plain as day to me just what a positive sign that actually was, especially in the uncertain times we currently are in.
Nice rerate going on her, now nice and easy infa for the next few weeks before the all important news lands.
Mr T
Is it a bird........a plane.........no its the INFA SHARE PRICE! Re rate happening??
Wheeeeeee!
Morning Speedy, no you're not alone and I think a few more will be joining this excited gathering today. Look outside, in the eastern sky this morning there is a big white star. I'm calling it Infa, out there shining for us. Probably Venus though. Gla.
Or can anyone else feel that excitement in the air?? Good luck all today ....especially Snowy ??!
Hi McA
Many thanks for taking the time to answer that question in such magnificent style!
I will sleep well tonight and dream of a new BMW, salt caverns, sherbert lemons, New England in the fall, holidays, snowball fights, Ole Gunner Solschar leading Man U to a 23 nil victory over Barcelona and other pleasant things.
Tomorrow is going to be very interesting methinks!
The next few months is going to be a very pleasant journey.
GLA !
I bought my first tranche in January 2010 ..total disaster after disaster ( remember Woodburn Forest !) until JW and his gang turn up and sort AP's mistakes out ( and that includes ridiculous cheap placings and dilutions) ...but just look where we are now ..roll on tomorrow !!
Mcadder... Stupid phone auto correct :)
Madder that reply was so good I read it 3 times! Happy New year to all and for those on twitter, keep spreading the infa word. I tried it on lse and I got a ban lol. Here's to a brilliant year!
Snowman - indeed the SP was around £1 back in 2010. Believe it or not prior to this the SP briefly hit the £4 mark!! You have to remember though that back in 2010 there were only around 65M shares in issue! A lot of dilution since then but the mad thing is the worst of the dilution occurred when AP was CEO. In July 2017 post the EGM there were 376M shares then after 3 placings! (with warrants attached on the last one) the total voting right's hit 1,015M at the point he left. Obviously that figure is now slightly higher as quite a few tranches of warrants have been exercised.
In relation to Infa there are now an awful lot of shares in sticky hands which reduces the available free float of shares that the Mm's have to play with to manage the daily demand for buys.
It's certainly not the case that there have to be an equal amount of buys and sells but in a healthy market there will always be both.
If the story for a particular company like Infa is compelling and the bod continue to deliver good news (as is the case here) then you get a situation where many shareholders are simply unwilling to sell certainly at this level so any small buys will move the price. If the buying pressure increases then the SP will likely gap up significantly as the MM's run for the hills in their attempt to entice sells (and of course inevitably when the MM's do that they will always get some to press the sell button).
However we are in uncharted waters here with regards a funding breakthrough for construction and although there is likely to be an initial spike here there is a good chance that if the news is good enough (i.e the equity stake we retain is decent enough and the terms of the funding are favourable) then this could simply continue to re-rate for some time (4-5p isn't out of the question).
Infa shares were valued at 98p!............................just floating it out there!
GLA!
HNY all. Yes I'm wondering too, particularly offtakers. I think I remember reading SSE Airtricity supply 75% of the gas sent along the Mutual owned SNIP, 23% Firmus Energy, and two tiddlers the remaining. Lots of distribution companies thereafter across NI.
This is my first year in shares can someone please explain in very basic terms the process.
I understand the basic concept of a set amount of shares and overall, that the number of buys should equal the number of sells.
But when a big company/institution suddenly starts buying in....they will want to buy a very large number of shares. So where the hell do those large amount of shares suddenly come from?...surely nobody in their right mind is going to sell extremely large amounts with all the brilliant news about to be released?....just wondering how it actually works?
Thanks in anticipation of a sort of 'idiots guide' !
HNY and GLA !
That cleared my thick head on returning today from NY celebrations. I had topped up some on the 27th at .91 and wondered whether I had done the right thing. Seemingly I had. A prosperous 2019 to you all.

Natural Gas as an Irreplaceable Backstop to
Intermittent Renewable Electricity Generation?
The IAE report goes on to identify another different but complementary argument for a continued
critical reliance on natural gas in the Irish energy system, specifically in electricity generation. This
complementary argument might therefore still support the final recommendations, even if it were
conceded that overall Irish energy system decarbonisation has to happen significantly faster than
the report has envisaged.
The report essentially asserts that there are hard limits to how much of Ireland’s energy needs can
practically be serviced by intermittent renewable electricity. Specifically, it states (p. 7) that: “...
[r]enewables will account for a growing share of Ireland’s electricity supply in the next 20 to 30
years. Wind and solar generation are expected to provide up to a half of Ireland’s annual
electricity. Fossil fuels will be needed to generate the other half.” Given both the essential enabling
role of electricity in overall societal energy use, and the likelihood of significant further
electrification of the currently largely non-electrified transport and heat energy sectors, this
assertion that no more than ~50% of electricity generation can be met by intermittent renewable
sources is then critically important. If that assertion is correct then that indeed leaves a gap of
~50% that has to be fulfilled in some other way. Further, unless that gap is filled, even access to
dynamically available intermittent renewable generation could potentially be compromised due to
challenges of stable system operation. Ireland has (pro tem) rejected the deployment of nuclear
generation within its jurisdiction, and natural gas, although a very high carbon energy source, is
still the least carbon intensive of the fossil fuel options. "THUS, THE IAE ARGUMENT IS THAT THE BULK OF THAT GENERATION GAP WILL HAVE TO BE FILLED BY NATURAL GAS". Such a reliance on natural gas in electricity
generation, more or less to the exclusion of other fossil fuels, coupled with progressive
electrification of heat and transport, would then make Ireland’s overall energy security even more
precarious than it is now.
There's no doubt about it guys we're in for a cracker of a year with Infa - expect further positions to be taken by investor's during this month and hopefully the arrival of pension funds to start buying in once we get that funding news. We can expect big buys in here once this milestone is reached representing a further massive derisking of the project GLA
Happy New Year everyone and good luck to all Infa shareholders. Hope the sp is on an upwards trajectory in the next few weeks and months.
New year all. Infa has been the best performing stock for me from my entry
Looking for much more next year.
Have a good one all
Happy new year Infas. Like everybody else here, I’m looking forward to what 2019 brings here. Gla
Hootenanny !! INFA a penny INFA a pound
A Happy and Healthy New Year to everyone on this bb. Long may it stay civilised, and may the force be with us in 2019 (and beyond).
Wishing all the other long term holders a very happy new year. Really enjoy following this board & like others I appreciate the comments. Our patience is paying off, new BoD doing a great job & once again thanks to Adrian for putting so much effort in.
