ANd this is why sundezena you constantly lose money playing the markets. You think it is some sort of competition with a medal at the end of it. Where is the end? Who are you in competition with? Am I supposed to feel some sort of emotion as you run around the playground waving your willy because today you have a paper profit somewhere? Have you got the courage to sell and actual realise some real life spendable money? You don't know the most elementary aspects of business, markets, corporate strategies, or indeed any clue how the city works and how it got to the number two position in world markets with the next stop, number one. It does it by milking private retail investors like you on every weekly cycle. The city knows your psychology inside out and the house, always wins with numb nuts starry eyed investors like yourself. I know a few of the traps that get quietly laid. I will wait for my entry point with IAG and move only then irrespective of what the price happens to have been in the last week, month, year or life time. If the clock hasn't run down, I may take a profit. Otherwise, I'll take a profit elsewhere. Certain green crap shares are going to get artificial boosts in November. Worth a quick in out - as long as they are not fuel intensive, of course.
Now put your willy away and go and SELL some shares and pocket real money.
BB, i suggest you go and read the last results..you are saying i don' t understand anything!!please!!! well done on your ezj investment and switcheroo!!good luck with that...might sell some of my RR or BP to buy EZJ on a real dip!!!hope it comes soon..its too expensive for now. Europe is dead in the winter, the money is in US in the winter. dyor always.
Oh dear oh dear oh dear
"i disagree with you saying they don't have 10.8b in the coffers...they actually do as of end of Aug."
You need to do some elementary research and these definitions. IAG do not have 10.8bn in the bank.
https://www.investopedia.com/terms/l/liquidity.asp
IAG has slots, buildings, aeroplanes and businesses to sell. One of those assets it can sell for cash is BA for example, which is why I have a probability that rather than selling of bits and pieces, they could sell of a whole airline [BA or another]. They are currently juggling with the bankers how to cover liabilities and cash flow at the end of furlough specifically without letting go of their assets most likely. To cover IAG with cash, it is most likely the banks will most likely swap debt payments due for shares instead. That is where the first dilution may come from. IAG may decide not to liquidate any assets or hand over a share of the company to the bank, and resort to a RI to raise cash from shareholders, as declared the back up option or plan B as some might call it.
And as for Easy J, today is the day shares start trading. The issue was taken up 93%, the underwriters plonked the remaining 7% on the market this morning and that is working the sp at the moment. In fact only needing a 2-3% drop to clear out 21 million shares, the book was closed on them by 6:55 oversubscribed at 690 and the sp is 693 is pretty strong by my reckoning. Tomorrow will be the real post rights issue.
Now, sundezena, please do some research before you post rubbish about cash in coffers next time. You really show what little you know posting something like that.
BB, i disagree with you saying they don't have 10.8b in the coffers...they actually do as of end of Aug. That's plenty to see them through November when flying will increase to 75% of pre pandemic. So glad i never listen to drivel on here and i just carry on adding when we have dips..I have been rewarded in the last 2 weeks, my retirement might have to come sooner than expected. This is going above £2 buddy, i did say it would rocket up only a few weeks ago, go and have a look at my posts. Just look at number of flights and people carried and this is before any EU/UK passengers being able to travel to USA for leisure..topped up this am , another 20000 at 1.80..lets see if i can make a few bob today...but i am not selling the big chunk which i purchased at lower prices...oh noooooo. I see EZJ is down more today. DYOR always. all imo.
Iceland, Monaco, Europe this time of the year would always be cheaper, have a look at the Caribbean destinations November to March.
"Chief executive Luis Gallego told The Sunday Times that a rights issue was not currently on the table"
"CURRENTLY" is your key word.

BB, why are you going on about RI, still?? The boss said NO
.....................................................................................
No he dind't say no. What a great example of misleading.
There will be an RI in due course. Thats what he told you. B.E.
Iceland next week 109 ret
I'm still expecting BA to be sold off anyway, 25% probability. BA has been kept at arms length from the rest of the IAG group, no synergising or merging of back office or even flight operations. I suspect the cow was always being fattened up for sale but the pandemic has got in the way.
Do have a concern about the price of flights. They are cheap as chips, has anyone else noticed this?
I think airlines could charge more. I'm flying to Monaco to play some cards next week for 50 return!
IAG do not have 10bn in the coffers!!!!!!! Another one confusing liquidity with cash flow. Whether it goes to 50, 100, 200, 300, 800 or 1000 is irrelevant. The risk of it collapsing again is just too big for me. And cop26 is getting ever closer and the probability of a significant attack of freedom to fly policy is very real which could send the entire sector into a significant tail spin. Enjoy your 200, or 250. But how many of you will actually sell and 'liquidate' your assets into 'cash' to burn?????
BB, why are you going on about RI, still?? The boss said NO. I can see another RI at EZJ too if IAG has another one!!! Happy now?? At the moment we are fine with 10b in the coffers plus all revenue coming in. Flights are busy buddie, more flights being added in Nov as demand really strong. All I know we are sitting at 1.8244 , is that above 200 ma?!?!?!? oh yessss. DYOR but this is going back to £2.00 IMO.
Brokers drive SP down and guess what they do pre good news? BUY!!
another head buries in the sand Mnazir, explain to us then why did the brokers feel the need to put out such statements? And who is paying them a commission and for what? The broker meetings are private and part of the information release procedure for the markets. I think you are confusing traders with analysts/brokers. And why would they come out with such a statement unless they held short positions which have to be disclosed? It is clear a number of you wish the RI warnings had never been published and certainly not from such solid reliable sources. Something isn't right with the finances at IAG and given the lost summer season income, it should be a bit obvious there is going to be some shuffling of chairs on the deck. What we don't know is whether there will be a debt for equity swap diluting the share pool. And until that is clear, win lose or draw I'm not in. I am not losing or gaining anything in the same way as any other share I happen to not be in. I note nobody is screaming their teeth out that I wasn't in Petrofac the other day when it did a 25% increase. Why are you not as upset about that? I've been in and out of Petrofac over the years. Keep your heads well and truly buried, wait for the almighty kick in the bum form a dilution.
BROKERS FELT THE NEED TO WARN THE MARKETS, thats joke of the century, a broker will sell his own muther if he gets a commission for it, and you think they were so worried about general public, they came out like some sort of heroes to warn the public, jesus, i gotta put a filter on as well, this is dumb talk.
fugassa is a never a IAG share buyer, I think he missed last time when this hit 90p year ago and was waiting 50p, and he needs to understand that there is no shares with 0% risk, people who are not willing to take any risk are not suitable for the investment and they should keep any money they have in the wardrobe, not event in the bank as banks can collapse and lost the money.
But how about if robbers came and break the house...? so then keep all their money in the bag and always with hand, so don't forgot to leave somewhere...LOL.
Ahahahah fugassa, still blethering on about RI, are we?? Guess you did not buy during the last dip, you should have, these are one in a lifetime opportunities..well done for sticking with your 99p target before buying in!!! Good luck!! All IMO.
October or November for the RI?
Unless they stick the boot in during december. Surely not December, but folk just accept the hot poker during the season of good will.
Markets' slowly digesting a long overdue rate hike, poor dear, so a rocky couple of days ahead (esp when US wakes up today). Stop placed at 176. Good rise yesterday. Pent up demand here imo. Good time probably tomorrow for the dry powderers when we slowly start to rebound. Hoover dusted Lambrini for Friday with my home-made Pot Noodle for 184p. GLA
Many companies are now in a recovery status, so NO NEED to go with always RI as improving market and increase income make the recovery and IAG is doing the same and IAG is in a better position to make profit than many companies as travel is back and getting better and better, so enough money is started to coming and future looks good.
Exactly. Why they would choose to sell themselves for 135 a share when that's the worst price they'll probably get in the next 10 years, and when they have access to revolving credit if they need it, is anyone's guess. You dont need an MBA to work out that a RI was against their best interests. Also, rights issues arent to be feared, assuming you have dry powder to buy in again.
"Then why were they in discussions with the banks? Why did three brokers feel the need to warn the market IAG need more money? Ignore those questions at your peril. To risky for me at the moment."
A revolving credit facility is a form of constant engagement with banks....
"Fugazi1, they have 10billon liquidity it’s a revolving credit facility? You keep missing that, they also have revenue coming in!"
Then why were they in discussions with the banks? Why did three brokers feel the need to warn the market IAG need more money? Ignore those questions at your peril. To risky for me at the moment.
Not really sure where you get your ideas from, tunnel vision on an RI. If it did come, big deal! Would have more shares and a healthier balance! Also I could tail swallow!
... here it is again, this idea that somebody 'missed' out because they didn't buy a share at a particular price. Abandoning a strategy and chasing rainbows is a sure fire way of losing most of what you have. Learned those lessons years ago. The Easy RI was unexpected and locked me down anyway for a couple of weeks. I don't care what entry price is to any share, just as long as it is higher when I sell! If is fools gold trying to second guess where the bottom is or the top. How many here were duped into buying 'at the bottom' when the sp was much higher than it is now? I don't hear the same rampers back then offering consolation to those who were duped into the ramping buy before!! And then where is the sell? Paper profits can not be spent. So you hang on, and on, and on and then there is 25% dilution because or a credit swap, or Biden refuses to sign the order until January at the earliest, or the lockdown lobby come up with a new wheeze to deter business travellers or airports are attacked repeatedly by eco terrorists or volcanos blow up all over the place and flights are grounded for a week, or, or, or.... so when are you going to sell to take profits???
As far as I am concerned, three well versed brokers emerged from a private legal briefing and gave their verdict on the company. It need to raise money and quick. After speculation, the boss announced they were trying to avoid another RI and at least there was no need for an emergency one. I don't care a flying pig whether the sp doubles, triples or quadruples - with that hanging in the air I ain't touching it. When the details of the review are known, maybe I will then touch it. Whether I get rich quick, or just cream of a few grand timing any incursion into the share to be just ahead of the details for opening up the atlantic routes to the US remains to be seen. I am not a casino gambler like so many rainbow chasers on here.
