Hi SonicView 1% of mcap. For personal reasons I no longer hold balanced portodilios I did earlier in my trading career. Mainly circa 80% hzm now. Risky, of course, but I have conviction and patience here and I have progressively increased both holding total and % of portfolio as (imho) the opportunity has derisked. Added what I thought was last tranche at 5p post orion finance then couldnt resist thw recent drop to current price. Average is a fraction above 3p more by accident than design! Gla!
Hi wasarunner, do you mean you hold 1% of your pf in HZM, or 1% of the mcap? Because the latter is one hell of a holding.
Thanks both, so I guess this is very much personal circumstances driven - this is where of course the Institutions win, because they play with different time horizons and have no such personal circumstances.
I'm invested with partner and we would potentially look to trim for a house buy, but probably maximum 20% and probably I can wait around 2-3 years which therefore might bring us to mine built stage. At that point holding off selling if further SP appreciation is possible might be an option. My actual hope now is this gets to production and the ongoing dividend scenario plays out.
If say we saw 25p in the next year or two (I don't know if that's possible or likely) would probably trim sooner but again only around 20% I think.
Still can't see this selling for less than 30p and I think that would be absolute lowball stuff. But I guess some would welcome that if it happened on the much shorter time horizon - i.e. 2020.
Still fingers crossed I would like to add more by April but that is now driven by performance of other investments. I won't be selling a single share here (except to move to ISA) for a year or two. That's my 1% out of market circulation for the time being at least!
Hi wasarunner, that is a difficult one, because I have a partner almost as heavily invested here as I am, they would sell a fair few shares post finance and pre production, we have a joint bank account!
I am entering my fifth year invested here, for the last eighteen months my investment here has not given me a balanced portfolio, so I should probably rectify that.
I think I will decide based on the outlook for the world economy, if we are in a little plateau of calm before trade wars kick off again then I think I would probably sell a third.
To complete the family investing picture my son with age on his side would stay invested, as he has done with builders since the last recession, he has not regretted it.
Luke would you sell post finance pre production? I'm just curious because undoubtedly the SP would be a lot higher than today at that point - lets say 6-12 months time - but a lot less than the eventual production SP and potential dividend down the line.
I guess there will always be a tranche of investors who would sell at that interim point who don't want to see the 2yr mine build then 1-3 year ramp up to dividend flow. Who would be happy to take the interim profit - I don't know what it would look like but my price range target around 10-15p at the point where building the mine commences. Not a shabby profit for people who want to sell if that happens but the bigger rewards are surely down the line then.
Still of course 50/50 whether it gets taken out. Probably more chance it gets taken out I would say if there is a dramatic jump in nickel demand/price in the next 1-3 years. Something ahead of what the median forecast is saying. In that scenario majors might want to get to a higher production faster and buying Horizonte might be a way to achieve it.
Six months for someone buy the lot, I am content.
I am sure some people will wander off bored if they are break even or in profit, some will sell if share rises, good luck to them.
Trump and China reaching an understanding that should last past Trump’s election, should mean a healthy nickel price when financing is being completed, so both possible endings should make investors happy.
Just had another listen of the latest video and JM slick as ever and very upbeat about the evolving situation here and rightly so ,but as I’ve stated b4 the BOD and Jeremy see the eye of the nickel storm appearing in 2022 and that’s just when this will start production hopefully
In the meantime the next big step is financing and he’s again confirmed it will be split circa 60% debt (off the 6 banks maybe) with the rest being split with equity / off takes or both
From what he intimated it’s pretty certain that Orion and the existing II,s on the share register will all prob want a slice and why not ? (it’s a no brainer ) so I can’t see that being a problem myself and as such ,once we get to mid year 2020 this should all be resolved and the sp multiples of 3p I’d hope
Truth is I’m not remotely bothered one iota as I know how superb these assets are and it will happen one day and when it does then watch it really fly
However the reality short term is that the focus is on progressing the finance talks (with the 6 banks ) & getting the site construction ready but Jeremy is not expecting to close the finance deal b4 the end of Qtr2 .. which is 4-6 months away and I’d assume from what he implied the equity /offtake will follow but that may not be the case I’m not 10% sure I admit
As for Verm , he clearly said that partnership talks were going well (hoorah) and potential partners could be any one of battery manufacturers ,chemical users or even other miners but he didn’t give me the impression anything was likely to be announced imminently ..but who knows ?
He also said advancing the permitting for the V feasibility study and continuing the partnership discussions will be the main focus in H1 2020 for V
So lots going on .. on both fronts ..and I’m fine with everything except why tf are we at 3p ? Unbelievable Jeff!!!
Market sentiment aside the one thing that would rectify matters here is news on either financing for A , a TR1 stake build , or partnership news on V -only 1 problem there though ...I didn’t get the impression that’s likely altho Wasa and DJR must be getting close ... come on lads help us out !! Lol GLA and a great weekend to all
