Rich that EO Browser link is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for, thanks.
It definitely wins the (virtual) prize for First Glimpse.
Thanks Rich, that's pretty cool and you can see it coming along nicely!
What’s nice is you can step back and forth in 5 day increments and you’re able to see activity if you compare closely.
Resolution isn’t good sadly but https://sentinelshare.page.link/rdM5 should give you a view of the site from 3 days ago.
sorry I can't make this work properly. If you highlight the whole line and copy and paste it into the browser it will show the Araguaia site pre-construction.

Was this: https://www.bnamericas.com/en/company-profile/araguaia-niquel-mineracao-ltda-araguaia-niquel-mineracao
But I think the Google location was for araguaia mineracao ltda (no niquel). Hence the confusion.
Hi Rich
"No need to be sarky tafour." Oops sorry I replied before seeing your post retracting.
"I was trying to help you out and googled an HZM subsidiary. Which went to the location of that mine." That is fascinating ... which subsidiary?
No need to be sarky tafour. I was trying to help you out and googled an HZM subsidiary. Which went to the location of that mine. When I did more digging it turned out to be wrong - so said ignore it and provided you a link to a recent video showing the works but apparently giving up to date imagery that you asked for wasn’t helpful either. Dunno why I bothered!
Rich you cannot be serious. That is more than 500 miles from the mine.
To get to the mine, go North along PA-449 from Conceicao and turn left at Ladeira do Sabao onto what was an unsurfaced road but is intended to be upgraded by HZM to gravel top.
After nearly 4 miles you pass a farm on your right, Fazenda boa esperança, the Farm of good hope.
After another 3 miles you turn right onto what was (in July 2021) just a rough track. It would be good to see how it is looking now.
Approximately here: https://www.google.com/maps/@-8.0015,-49.3818,1500m the initial mine area is a few hundred yards to the NW
Probably a bit more useful is the company's official video from a couple of weeks ago ;)

Actually ignore that. May have the wrong place :p
You'll need to copy the second link as text into a browser as LSE breaks it.

https://earth.google.com/web/search/-15.176795,+-47.742726/
Either of those any good to you or the same?
(doesn't give date so can't tell if it's what you're looking at)
Waiting for First Metal is all very well, but there is also First Glimpse.
The imagery on google earth for the ANS (araguaia nickel south) mine area is currently dated July 2021.
There is a way to request or suggest an image update.
"11. Can I recommend an area for an imagery refresh?
Yes. You can use our Feedback tool within the Earth menu to recommend an area for an imagery refresh. Please be sure your area of interest is in the center of your screenshot when submitting your feedback and use the text “I would like to recommend an imagery refresh” in the feedback window."
If enough people do it, they might respond. Note also,
"Many areas of the world are habitually cloudy, so we have to be patient with collection realities."
They really should get cracking this month. July and August is the height of the dry season. In September it begins to get showery again. Time is flying.
