Yes, you both have good points. most have given up here, and written ofv both Dr T and his model.
I agree there is still a possibility (slim, imho) that the well issues clear up, and his model is more or less proved right.
Only time will tell, and if that were to be the case, huge upside here. But otherwise.........

Just because they fired Dr. T doesn't mean he was wrong and they were right.
Maybe they'll have to ask him back one day, just as they did Steve Jobs at Apple.

Genghis,
"Clearly the Bod no longer believe that model, they believe it more likely well behaviour is consistent with a higher OWC,"
However, it's not just the 'model' in question, and that's what is so strange. Three vertical wells were drilled with the express purpose of determining OWC: the Lincoln discovery, Lancaster 7 (the 'pilot') and Halifax. These wells were wireline logged by Schlumberger, and the log analysis will have encompassed hundereds if not thousands of man hours by people expert in such analysis. Not just Hurricane people, but Schlumberger, and also the compilers of the CPR's.
And now, all of a sudden, some people have come along saying that all those thousands of man-hours were spent barking up the wrong tree.
And those well logs are as close to empirical evidence as one can get.
There's something very fishy going on if you ask me. Possibly shell-fishy.

Clearly the Bod no longer believe that model, they believe it more likely well behaviour is consistent with a higher OWC, meaning we are pulling on the aquifer, likely thru a downward fracture leg(s).
If they think that firmly enough both to sck the co founder and RNS it, it's hard to hold to the original theory.
BB. Interesting that on Rolvsnes the distance to the OWC is only 35-40m
This is a message that I posted in middle of July but I think it's worth another look considering all the talk of OWC.
I find it hard to believe that they made a mistake as to the depth of the OWC level when carrying out the original vertical well drills.
Maybe Dr. Trice is right about perched water all along.

That's a very interesting article that you linked to.
https://www.npd.no/en/facts/publications/reports2/resource-report/resource-report-2019/the-challenging-barrels/recovering-oil-from-fractured-basement-rock/
When Dr.Trice talked of perched water, I envisaged a pool of water way above the aquifer that #7 had drilled into.
But looking at the graphic, it shows that the perched water is probably in a vertical fracture and #6 missed it.
If that's true then the perched water should hopefully eventually drain itself out."
