The selling is close to it's end now IMHO.
Time to buy this bombed out share.
Cheers

Last year on the 11th Oct we had a 4th qtr up-date and a year end est, I wonder if we will get the same this week.?
If it's good it might help the SP recover.
Has anyone seen any bad news to make this drop so much?
I must admit I thought the SP was about to start moving up as we get near to results ,and going by what they have said in the last up-date I thought we were on for better times.
So I topped up with another 10,000 at 74.5p silly me, so I am sorry it's my fault the SP has gone down as we all know that as soon as you buy , down it goes. S**
Very disappointed in BOD, we have seen no action or rns just continued fall.
The Group is selling Trilby for cash consideration of approximately €9,800,000, subject to customary adjustments. The proceeds from the Transaction will be used for general corporate purposes and to further strengthen the Group's balance sheet.
The Transaction is expected to close in September 2023 subject to the approval of relevant anti-trust authorities and customary closing conditions and will allow Greencore to optimise its portfolio for sustainable growth, focus its efforts and resources on its core competencies and reinforce its balance sheet. Greencore has identified Trilby's Managing Director, Paul Ward as the key individual important to the Trilby business.
So with hope all has gone well and this extra cash will help the books in time for the results.
If you look below where it’s says Greencore PLC on this page you’ll see they are listed as being in the FTSE all share and FTSE small cap. GNC are not listed as constituents of the FTSE 350 on this site and London Stock Exchange. FTSE small cap are the companies ranked 351-619 on the main market and GNC are listed there on both sites. GNC are no longer a FTSE 350 company according to my research but neither can I find any information regarding this. Hope this helps and it can be fact checked.
So who has said these will/ are falling out of the 350 ????
Dropping out of the FTSE 350 won’t be helping with share price as any fund holding under that criteria will have to sell their stake. Could be a few having to go down this route.
Yes looking low SP now, maybe a good time to top up and ave down.
Probably a cautious outlook coming up but the caution won't last forever so accumulating here. Seem to be able to do a lot of buybacks so making it ripe for a MBO or for a t/o bid.
another ****storm on the way?
What is causing this drop, any opinion out there.
Strikes off new deal on table
Looks like stormy waters ahead as workforce about to go on strike for more money, could SP be heading back to 70p ish for awhile?
Do you mean the FTSE 350, not the 250?
Looks like we are going out, need some good news
*** was g-*-y abandon in the original sense pre woke. What a world we live in ! (this prob will get an asterisk too :)
gaz
that is a given and presumably well factored in. companies like gnc adapt and it can be seen from the updates that they have flushed low margin contracts, slimmed down the workforce from the bloated covid days and becone a leaner company while buying back shares with *** abandon.
new business added and expanded upon while lesser companies lost out. greencore is a trusted brand and someone will be running the rule over it before it recovers and required a premium bid.
at these levels the downside is limited and the upside is huge.
one day dividends will return.
businesses adapt.

Could it be the selling off non core asset to make the remainer more attractive to full sale of company
Surprised the sale did not have a trading opportunity with the SP today. Was hoping to do a bit of positioning :).
Was it an extra, sold off cheaply, fair value or a fire sale. I never has seen it flagged up but sold for less that half the carrying value and 4 times income seems a bit of a curve that the market has accepted.
This is my second biggest holding at a lovely low 60s average. Only regret not buying so many more as my other stuff is underperforming . This should sail over the £1 very soon i would think now results will calm any fears. If Mobico does an update like this one on Thursday i'm a happy bunny!
I’m holding a lot of these in various ISA’s for family etc…
Quality business with new CEO understating and over delivering
Gonna ride this up to £1.50 in next 12 months
Well, that’s my plan ;) gla
Hi Newt - was like the last one standing.
You are in the right place to see the trends. I recall that they exited a low value contract and seems they are getting back in control of costs (which are now falling anyway). A sweet spot for a period perhaps.
The full office days will not return to prior levels as everyone that I know (in the 50s) is ready to retire early given the wokeness of the workforces now.
That said , GenX love convenience and think nothing of buying a pricey item rather than start from scratch.
Plenty of scope for profits.
At 89p that is a good entry price in hindsight. sell into rises and reduce averages is never a bad game to play when on the right side.
GL to you.
Hi Mary,
I was in at £1.30 but averaged down to 89 so I am a whisker off breaking even, not sure I have the appetite to keep going. I am a large buyer of there product for a supermarket and volume still significantly down vs when offices were full and at capacity. If you believe those days will return then this is a solid play but I am not so sure.
Thanks
