I got 2005 scheme for 8 years and the 2015 one the other option was sh1.te had to work longer Good thing for me I'm on 70% more than I was 2 years ago
Right so she's on 2015 pension scheme so she has to work to 67 to get full benefit...on old scheme as long has you had your years you could retire 60 with full pension ...basstards!
Reason I ask is there are 3 types of pension schemes 1995 a good one 2008 s home not so good but if already employed before this you could still stay in 1995 scheme and now its 2015 scheme no option ya have to go in it but lucky for wife she is full pension in 1995 scheme so she's laughing
Driver how many years she been working for nhs?
Driver that'll be band 3 has band 2 has been abolished now
My wife's is the same it used to be towards the end of service they'd all like in the overtime and get their pension based on that now its changed so if wife worked full time 10 years part time for another 10 years they'd do an average not base it on part time end of service wages
Driver no it wont it's done over a lifetime service now it's done on an average of service ...check it mate
Pete should she not be average I am now changed a while back. Final salary would of suited me. Cheap skate fuqers
Driver did you pick up any JUST EAT yesterday
Scoop, yes i know what you mean you will always get the lazy bstrds in any company there's a guy where my Mrs is located and hes a fekin alchy on over 90K a year and delegates everything, if he worked for me hed be down the feking road, the problem is public sector isn't like in the building industry its so processy to fire someone you have to gather evidence then go through HR and this guys high profile so no one wants to touch it as their job would definitely be either closed down on some sh.te like fund saving as they struggling for finance.
All bloody wrong can you imagin his golden handshake and pension its a fekin disgrace.
Ken there was a guy in his forties who worked in the planning department ffs. These were all the top jobs in the council - sitting around outside cafes drinking coffee rubbing the locals noses in it - normal office workers didn't get it - ******s.
Scoop, id love my mrs to be made redundant she could then get a lovely pay off plus then be able to tap into her full pension entitlement instead of it being capped if she leaves early.
Billy council pensions are index linked so they go up no matter what. I call them gold plated pensions cos it is guaranteed and the tax payer pays for it. My local council closed down ten years ago and all the staff that didn't transfer took early retirement - the lazy barstewart hang about drinking coffee in the local cafes every day on gold plated pensions and some of them were early fifties - the local tax payers picking up the tab for the rest of their lifes - that can't be right ffs. They should have been made redundant and told to f off and get another job like everyone whould have to do !!!!!
Craig £300 a month?
its outrageous isnt it craig, only ever goes up it seems and you get less for it.
Right guys gonna leave you to it for a while, taking the dog out again for a bit, wearing some more tread off the poor buggers feet on my potholed local pavements.
DT I was 300 quid for Council Tax for 3 of us in house. Fuqing rip off one of the reasons I moved
billy, spot on about the tele. i only watch the news these days, sick to death of 'reality' stars and all those types of parasites that everyone seems to look upto. Its a big world out there so get the coat on and go out looking.
Council tax is my only 'extravigance' - its north of £250/month now for a three bed bungalow - cos them runts rob me blind and waste it.
Or stop watching others on TV and start doing ....theres a big world out there try going to the baths cycling walking running ..bird watching no craig feathered type bowling woodwork any fooking thing except sitting watching telly looking at a bunch of morons on it theres nothing good on telly anymore it's all the same old same old
Drop sky and get Netflix you will save cash and get better tv
best way to be better off is to be smarter, not always work harder. Dont ever fall into the trap of trying to earn more and more, you will just end up spending it all - look at what you spend instead. My neighbour is skint, rents his flat and is working at 70 despite having a military, council and nhs pension. But he pays £70 a month for sky tele (when hes never there to watch it), pays £44 a month for gym membership he never uses, buys new cars he never owns every three years on PCP plans, has a posh expensive phone etc etc. He earns more than me but the numpty wastes the whole lot, so has to keep working to earn more and more.
Driver dont blame others for making the right decision or just being plain lucky for getting the right job ...only you can change your life mate ...and better your finances....buy stuff from auctions and sell it on Ebay go taxi driving ...truck driving try 2 jobs for a while there are loads of options matey dont be down wish I had ebay when I was a kid
Ken my missus is band 7 on NHS her pension is a good one her brother is high up in council his pension is a great one he get regular paper work showing what they invest in and shell is top 5 every year
DT my father always told me never spend it all just put 20% of your wages in the bank for a rainy day and back then interest rates were great in the bank, my father was a very frugal Jeordie and would never buy a fekin thing on credit, if he didnt have the money after the important things were taken care of he didnt get it.
Imvery glad i took his advice as im set up for life now, dont get me wrong ive worked my balls of as well setting up and running the sports business which is still very successful.
ken, yeah its disgusting, being 50 now i'll not be seeing my state pension at all as i wont be making the current 67 to claim it, ****es me off realy as have paid in everyday of my life since 16.. Am determined to get to 55, and the day after that i'll be taking my private one for sure, odds are long enough for that :)
