Have been interested in Sprott for a while. I am invested in. Canadian junior explorer, after a friend ad colleague raved about the company, and Sprott was invested.

However, been waiting a while for the expected price spike, did the opposite actually despite promising drilling results. Also could not trade shares on HL for about 9 months after firm changed uk share handling agent. Not good in a volatile share. Was down 80%. Down maybe 30% now. Still holding and hoping.
Thx RedJordy , was an interesting read for sure :-)
I wonder why GGP's suddenly drawn the attention of Sprott and why Sprott's now packed their fund to 4.39% in such a short space of time? Solgold for example is sat around .05%. God, Sprott must think GGP is something quite special
Here's the fact sheet for the ETF - Greatland Gold are under the holdings tab @ 4.39%

ATB - Paddy
CB - Yes, just noticed that. What the hell has gone on there then? It surely cannot be GGP related
Just been reading through a very interesting article conveniently named ‘what happens if Sprott backs your penny stock mining company’ - Would recommend others give it a read. Even talks about Sprott (despite being a billionaire) reading through online chat boards! Not that you needed any but there’s your motivation to keep pumping out the excellent content Paddy haha!
Here’s the link for anyone interested - https://business.financialpost.com/commodities/mining/what-happens-when-kingmaker-eric-sprott-backs-your-penny-mining-stock
Stebol- Agree . Sportts involvement will draw many iis here to GGp
Thxs for highlighting Strotts support for MTR too. Does he have a large holding there and is he in any panel capacity or just as an investor there. You know where this is leading towards. Ha Ha
Cheers
MK
The Sprott investment is certainly interesting and ever so slightly incestuous.
I first became aware of, and invested in GGP because of MTR involvement. As many of you will be aware, MTR was / is heavily backed by Sprott.
Nice to see them here. One thing I would say is that although they clearly want a significant return, they don't necessarily want it tomorrow. Historically, once they back something then they stay the course however long it takes.
Terrific couple of days and interims due soon.
Fun, isn't it?? GL all
I wonder if Heddle and Baxter have spoken personally with Sprott, Rule or Todoruk or any other of Sprott's Analysts?
If Sprott is looking for a 5 bagger then we are talking 60p area
apologies my post was a mixture of Schlemiel's comments on 5 baggers and Protons comment on Sprotts timing of investing 'now'
ps Proton on the other board just made an interesting comment re Sprott usually getting into 5 bagger potential at a very early stage of takeover but did the initial report in 2019 but buying in now! Interesting and still makes me believe with all this activity that something imminent brewing possibly
Im assuming Numis, Hannam and PArtners can only issue notes based on the latest results..which as we know are already 2months old when released. But Sprott's investment in any share and hence their analysis is looking fwd a few months atleast which would suggest a huge upside even from these levels..to iterate they are not just looking for a 10% return for their £2m + investment. Ill stick my neck out and say the Sprott buy, in addition to the discussions on this board by the more knowledgeable individuals, has solidified the upside and limited the downside significantly for me. Roll on Tuesday
No Worries and thanks. It was a good confusion ...and always enjoy your posts.
Kabaa, I totally agree, the next Numis note will be significantly higher than 12p...im thinking 20-25p but hey i hope youre right with 25-30p.
Panama sorry to confuse you..Spratt is just a combination of first name and surname..
If the aggressive buying from Friday and Today is Sprott and we get an in depth update (which we should either June or end of July) I think Numis will upgrade significantly again, perhaps with a 25-30p target. Even their 12p note is way too conservative.
