Tom :-)
If anyone wants to watch a very good movie about 'shorting' and major manipulation by the big boys, then maybe take a bit of time to watch, 'The Big Short'. It's available for free on Amazon Prime, and, IMHO, well worth watching. Sadly, I've watched it a couple of times recently! IMHO, you won't be disappointed! TT
Apologies I stand corrected.
jdt1990 - 30 business days.
Monty thanks for that explanation. I read up a bit more here - yes it is the banks that create more money and that's why they cannot be allowed to fail. ATB Mremc2

Jamesp21. They had 30 days from announcing the option price agreement to exercise. That’s 30 days from 21st July. Conveniently ties in with the NCM final results due 19th August which we have been told will include a resource upgrade for havieron
In the US they have a select few big banks that are "primary dealers", these primary dealers have to bid for US debt (treasuries/bonds etc) at auction
When people wrongly talk about money printing, the dollars for US debt are coming from primary dealers (also other foreign central banks that have ended up with a lot of dollars through trade) not the Fed, the fed cannot create new dollars they can only edit their own balance sheet numbers to add bank reserves
^ If I get a voucher from JD sports did they print money? my £20 exists with them, a £20 voucher also now exists.. thats £40 :O
Anyway the US rely on this big banks to fund the debt, when they also dont want them to fail because all their citizens bank accounts are with them how harshly are they ever going to treat them? primary dealers can bend and break rules as much as they like as long as its not disruptive to the population and causing politicians a headache
This surely must be considered as a really good step in the right direction at least, excellent news indeed.
You're talking gobbledygook as always.
18p is on the cards for sure markets love CASH CASH
Hi Jamesp21 - They had until 2025 to bid for the 5% so why now reason -chance of buying 5% at last year’s prices. best to get it sorted quick certain about 19aug - Thet will bid for he rest
Also why do you believe it is a given that we'll hear of 5% news by 19th august? They have until the end of the month and wouldn't surprise me if they stick to that timeline to keep their costs down/interest payments from us up.
Silver.........I have made a habit of not reading your posts.........but having done so this morning, I see you are no less tedious than you have been previously.
FUBAR4 - US banks are very cash rich and a good buy
Ok Bamps21 no expert like you keep it simple - whats the plan? We will here about the 5% buy 19aug thats for sure but news about wanting the 25% will be put to the AGM in NOV - lets see so far you did not see the share price falling from 20p to 10p
Silver, please start you're own 'I've just bought back in' thread rather than hijacking someone else's.
These banks continue to manipulate the markets and while the proceeds of their corrupt activities are greater than the fines, there’s no insensitive to stop.
Silverhorse
Why oh why would they want to bid for the 30% when they have the chance of buying 5% at last year’s prices.
You do talk nonsense
Interesting - in for the 5% before the Feasibility Study because they know its a massive iceberg - newcrest will bid for the 30% very silly not to god knows how the share price will react - 23p
Newcrest may acquire an additional 5% interest at the end of the farm-in period at fair market value. The farm-in agreement includes tolling principles reflecting the intention of the parties that, subject to a successful exploration program and Feasibility Study, the resulting joint venture ore will be processed at Telfer.
Telfer is the largest processing facility in the Paterson Province and has sufficient capacity and capability to process other discoveries in this region. Newcrest believes that the Paterson Province presents significant additional opportunities for Telfer in the future
the question is do they even pay the fine??
Yeah but the way they see it is that they may make more money than the fines so they keep doing it....
The thing is to keep fining them till they learn coruption isnt going to pay but fine them more than theyre making
And this is not even up to date............ !!
