@Pacman121: thanks for the reply. Yes, your point raised a new angle as to what could be happening - that's what sparked my interest in your statement. We know that BC don't release their numbers unless they really want to and GDR are very coy in communicating anything to us. So to support these two scenarios it could well be that direct sales are occurring between Cytva and BC. Wishful thinking or reality, who knows!!!
@rbr08
Hi mate, replying to your earlier question if you're still about. So, as you may know, Cytivia the manufacturing partner (10,000+ per hour etc) have the same parent company (Danaher) as Beckman Coulter. This essentially cuts out GDR from having to actually handle/process the stock as BC and Cytivia already have internal logistics. I'm not sure if you also meant would GDR be totally cut out? So to try to answer it anyway I don't think they will be cut out at all, they just don't need to do the physical bit due to the existing relationship if that makes sense. I'm not suggesting they will be taken out of the loop in anyway and should be fully up to speed on sales.
I think they'd have done it before now, given we're so close to the year-end. It's not looking like it's needed. IMO.
Most companies announce Placings when the market is buoyant and the SP is moving up, not when it's going down. A placing is just not going to happen right now.
Just to note that I don't agree re DB. I'm actually very impressed given the timescales with the BC, PHE, MH, and (let's see) UNICEF deals. They're just what I wanted to see him do.
(Yes I know PIs also want regular Comms, and that is why the SP has suffered more recently, but I'm not one of those bothered with it. Rather they continue working on the products and deals than engage in the kind of contentless update some companies to. Jmo)
Inphobe
In the interim results presentation gdr stated they will have to raise funds if material sales of test do not occur. We still to hear of any material sales, company is debt free so are not in a bad position but sooner or later they need to concentrate on other products, aihl for one which will need funds.
Budd has been disappointing to date.
Placing? Really? The last one was at 80p. This one would need to be at 35 to 40p. Maybe lower if the mkt gets wind and pushes the price of GDR even lower.
Rbr08
Surely they cant bypass gdr as gdr will also have received their slice of the pie.
Very disappointing by gdr so far. India was massive let down by gdr sales team.
Afternoon maestro, hope you're well? Whilst you heavily monopolised this board a while back (please for our sanity don't do that again!), I seem to remember you were always polite, good on you. Hope whatever you're invested in is going good.
Placing always possible, but for the sake of discussion here's how I see it and jmo
1/ no debt, and funds going forward mean no placing needed as yet unless for purpose of further product development, which could be positive
2/ known partnership with BC & Cytiva, known inclusion in PHE framework (plus for ex the UNICEF that we think we know about) mean that funding should be available from other sources if required. This is no longer an early stage company, we have products out there at commercialisation stage.
3/ Walbrook confirmed the other day as I recall that all this talk of placing was just social media chit chat
Possibly a placing, wich is not a bad thing if its to develop the company.if its do give large salaries, then its not so good.
Pacman121: nice write up! I can agree with the call for:
1) Change at the board level and a more structured and formal communication strategy (as opposed to the subjective adhoc approach now employed).
2) Revision of bonus structure to be one aligned with revenue/profit and/or other transparent and measurable KPIs.
One question I have is to the accuracy of your statement that BC can/are ordering directly from Cytiva and therefore are able to by-pass GDRs , thus allowing GDR to remain silent and support BC's mute status on their numbers?
I was told by Walbrook that we may get an update in July
I think a placing is on cards.
Imho
Share price down more.is there a seller clearing shares.is ghif allowed to sell remaining shares June.???.some buys enjoy low price.
I agree. Products are great and in the hands of bigger players now. But the arrogant standing towards shareholders is too much for most to bear. There have been delays and so shareholders need to be kept more updated than GDR like to do as this is AIM. Don't forget it's the day traders that attack the PR companies and GDR for off-the-cuff info to try and support their position. That's fine but they shouldn't call themselves investors.
I'm confident we are selling via Beckman. Don't forget they get the stock directly through Cytivia so GDR don't really need to do much other than take their cut. SP is dwindling on low volume as retail investors just can't be bothered with it all anymore. The immense negativity and repetition for the few on here is highly depressing to sort through, and they are winning in the absence of anything at all from the company.
I personally think the board has done a reasonable job in getting products developed and to market and also done well with the distribution partners. But I think it's time they were replaced with a more social bunch as that is where we are now. Also salaries need to be in line with sales performance at this point.
Happy where we are as a company, not happy with SP obviously as take away the chronic wingers and sentiment may be better than it is now. Not sure when the BC update will come, I know it won't necessarily be a part of the quarterly update, if we get one (not a consistent thing) but hopefully we will or hopefully BC will update the market directly. Not sure how long we can be kept in the dark on that one. AIHL should be progressing now so we are also owed an update on that one as we are in the middle of summer. If this all turns out to be more bul1**** then we all need to focus our time to adding up holdings and voting in a new board. You wingers can head that one up as the time you have on your hands seems to be unrivaled. But on a serious note shareholders have the ultimate power and I know quite a few holders in excess of £100k.
