Where would the cash have come from to manufacture 50m tests? When did they manufacture them? It would have taken 500 days for 50m tests right?
I think he is assuming that there are 50m tests stockpiled through Cytiva Magsy, I’m sure he knows if they had sold 50 million that would have to come through an RNS
ST, are you suggesting that GDR have sold 50m tests?
GDR being the only company listed doesn't mean it's the sole PCR test maker with whom Cytiva is working. OEM contracts often involve non-disclosure agreements.
This means that Cytiva might have been contracted by say 10 different PCR test companies, but would only allowed to mention GDR.
Thanks Cwalsh,
Adds clarity.. 'components or services' being key.
Actual text from the article.
Cytiva has already been working with diagnostic developers during the COVID-19 pandemic. In total, over 50 million people have been PCR tested using components or services from Cytiva. Diagnostic components, such as nitrocellulose membranes, are used in 18 immunoassay-based COVID-19 tests available today. The new services will follow the same collaborative approach as Cytiva's work with Avacta. The companies are co-developing a rapid antigen test strip for COVID-19 to provide a result in minutes using patient saliva.
We are talking nye fireworks here if so. Perhaps it's why dB is so relaxed with news re sales, the contracts are done and waiting for approval.
St T,
I know, the are the only Pcr provider but 50m stacked and ready to go.. I can’t believe it until the red dot confirms it.
If it’s the case, we are in for fireworks.
It's on directors talk.
Cytiva may already know the order book status since these companies are so intertwined, and may be manufacturing 24/7

Thank you dogdays
Yes ST I see your logic here

Hi Tecknik,
It isn't really interesting to see the link where 50 mil pcr tests are mentioned. Can you share it please!? GDR don't have that much money to be able to stockpile so much but then on the other hand they were the only company with pcr test on the recent conference, am I right?
sorry
*list of their covid collaborations here;
Genedrive: PCR assay to detect SARS-CoV-2
Sona Nanotech: rapid response lateral flow test
Avacta: Affimer-based point-of-care rapid screening test
University of Queensland: spike protein targeted vaccine
Entos Pharmaceuticals: downstream purification method for protein-based vaccine
Takara Bio: plasmid vaccine
Aptamer Group: rapid response lateral flow test
GDR top of their colab list though.
It can't be GDR, there must be another. As 50M tests sat there waiting to be sent out subject to approval feels too good to be true.

That was taken from their website, pretty cool GDR are top of the list though!

Thanks Technick, PCR tests or PCR Covid tests ? Source of the document?
Thanks technick-I'm not technical-my mistake. I hoped you would put me straight :)
LT, avacta aren’t PCR and the Cytiva mentions 50m PCR tests
Technick-Avacta is the other company
Magsy its my opinion,my take on things,im positive hence me being invested.
You speak more crxx then anyone on here.
I persdont thinh he would have a q+a unless he had more to offer then what has been already said
I saw a slide from Cytiva stating their lyo process had provided PCR tests for 50m people, not sure who other than GDR they’re manufacturing for?
Another brainless case of 'here is my conclusion, now how can I make this information fit it'.
There is considerable doubt that we will have sales within 2 weeks based on everything that has happened so far. This could just be as simple as DB having delayed the annual results as long as he is comfortable doing so. He doesn't have news to report currently else he would have released it already. There is no evidence to support any of the assertions you are making.
