We don't play Simon says here!
Shafqut you beat me to it with your reply to Simon what a muppet
Hi I'm Simon and wrote my money off and I've moved on, Honest!
Simon.... STOP READING IT!!!!!
Simon, if you have moved on why are you on the bb. Why dont you shut up and stay off the bb.
I guess this is just one organisation which provides support to the georgian, there is is probably bigger financial backing than this.
"U.S. foreign assistance has always had the twofold purpose of furthering America's interests while improving lives in the developing world. USAID carries out U.S. foreign policy by promoting broad-scale human progress at the same time it expands stable, free societies, creates markets and trade partners for the United States, and fosters good will abroad."

40million dollars a year
Nice to see all that money we paid for lobbying finally coming good. I just hope the arbitration board don't see it as big brother US of A bullying poor little Georgia, and let it colour their judgement.
Shafqut, I can see that! Yeah the amount of foreign aid came up before on this forum. Lots of links were pointing to how much over the years and the current amount. That being said I don't have any figures on hand.
Thanks feescot, just trying to look at it from the other side, really hope this comes good, have alot invested in frr.
Pretty sure they would just invade rather than protect their neighbours. The country and its people are still a little sore about russia
Do we know how much they support financially to georgia yearly?
I can give you a very good reason. The money US invests yeqrly into Georgia is incredibly large. I would say they can kiss goodbye nato, EU support, funding and of course on top of that sanctions to put a tight squeeze on georgia. Uncle Sam had them by the balls in my eyes.
Surely china and Russia can offer if not better support when it comes to finance, military etc
Well if Georgia has huge assets why cant they take back the blocks and move forward without help from the USA? Is this similar to what happened with Azerbaijan?
expropriation meaning:-
the action by the state or an authority of taking property from its owner for public use or benefit.
"the decree provided for the expropriation of church land and buildings"
A scary word for us FRR holders....
Agree with freescot......this is huge.
Serious pressure.
U.S. don't offer their fast track financial, military, political support to countries, for peanuts !
Gas and oil......Gas and oil
Goit
Yes it could a firm nudge just before a decision
Even though Frr has had backing for a while would say that this letter, is without doubt the biggest bit of evidence of that support of which can only be good.
Will add that it clearly shows USA hand on their thoughts on Frr in Georgia.
Still though need official confirmation on a positive result through the Arbitration for Frr.
Yes hopefully the expropriation section is referencing the GG's claim for 99% of b12 and not used in a past tense. I doubt a letter would like this would do much good after the fact. The arbitration must be concluding soon I hope
Particularly concerning to me is the use of the word "expropriation" immediately before referencing frr.
I hope that that is not what is happening and that this letter is a warning re the arbitration.
Agree with Gipps we've had support from US for years but where has it got us with GOGC, nowhere. This could go either way IMO, leaning negative. Hope I'm wrong
The Mother of all Battles for FRR, Block 12 and indeed Georgia is still yet to come it seems...
Wow
This letter again shows again serious political backing from the US. Great to hear Frontera used as a specific example, surely got to make a significant difference in Georgia’s dealing with Frontera.
