PJ Both JH AND JI seem to be operational now so we will see tomorrow? JI assigned 0600 mwa and JH on Lusaka
Have we really got a lot of flights from/to Tanzania sold out tomorrow, or is there some kind of problem ?
I'm hopeful these will be deployed soon, we don't know the cost of their time at Toulouse, it appears they were only just painted so maybe there's no additional cost. I'm guessing at least two will be for SA. Has to be RNS soon... Taskmaster, I say stalled as there seems to be no growth (frequencies, routes) and they even have 3 aircraft sitting on the tarmac in France without any apparent, or imminent, plan for their use (and they've been sat there for the last 5 months!). I seem to recall previous management did something similar with 2 A319s and that really worked out well....

As long as not deluded (like the previous) I'm happy with less 'open' As for 'stalled' how do you work that out ?
scottcorp, whilst I agree an update would be very useful, as would profit, I'm not expecting either any time soon, and the cynic in me suspects that because of the lack of the latter there is no desire to give any news / update because: - there really isn't any (the business appears 'stalled') - profitability was promised by Q4 (which I don't think was achieved) and so giving an update would include admitting this - I suspect current management is less 'open' than the previous one
Not had any news recently. I hope we are in profit for first time. This SP needs to sky rocket.

.....about #dealzim - does this mean there is some Zimbabwe (Open Skies?) related news in the offing?
Let's just hope this manifests itself into FJET finally being awarded rights to the HRE-BUQ and BUQ-JNB routes, and that this happens sometime soon!
#Zimbabwe's low cost airline #FlyAfrica eager to start #Harare~#Bulawayo route but their reliability or lack thereof is cause for concern. Public in favour of proven and reliable @fastjet https://twitter.com/africaairlines/status/968825538277269504?s=21
I would imagine so.
I guess this will be under the Federal Aviation AOC??
Fatherelmer , Mr Haas usually is!
Just gone over some old info and Nico did say he would be looking at secondary routes in SA , hinted that he would not be interested in the oversaturated CPT JNB for now, so quarter two is almost upon us I would expect confirmation in an RNS as much as I hate the word ( SOON ) when does Q2 end....zzzzzz
Indeed!! Would be quite a turn up for FJET - let's just hope Mr Haas is on the money.... https://mobile.twitter.com/IamMrHaas/status/968584817716748288
S A it is then!
It is not uncommon for aviation companies to advertise for crews so they can have qualified people available on their books in the event of expected or anticipated expansion for whatever reason. That doesnt always happen (though the fact that some quite considerable sum of money has been spent on respraying the ATRs does give grounds for rather more hope). One other little problem on FJs horizon is going to be getting enough qualified cabin crew. Many of those who worked for them before are going to ATCL. FJ is a better payer but ATCL is seen as a safer option.
fatherelmer, understood, I remember seeing your post so they are still advertising .... crew for the ATR72 is more available would you say ?..
taskmaster, I posted these ads (and one for Ground Engineers) a week or so ago - could be local shortages / churn or for expansion as there has been talk of Maputo and Bulawayo (and the oft nearly launched Lusaka) as potential routes from Zimbabwe.
Crew shortage ? http://www.businessdaily.co.zw/index-id-business-zk-40631.html
FJC........Bloemfontein ?....who knows.... at least we'll have some backup for technical fail. http://www.airports.co.za/airports/bram-fischer/statistics
