Yes indeed but I doubt it will be Thursday!
When this was originally announced - back in September 2017 - it always said there were 3 such aircraft and that they would be deployed within 6 months (ie by 31st March 2018) so hopefully we will find out very soon, though given Managements execution ability - see Kigoma for instance - which doesn't appear any better than the previous management I wouldn't hold my breath.... Given that they've been painted I wonder how much they are costing to be sitting around (the same as a couple of A319???).
fjetcrazy, a march start would be good - as that's from as early as this Thursday!
Hi again traveller , the schedule is not out as yet. If you can just please continue checking our website for the official schedule for flights starting in March. SC.
ivate Baldrick: I have a plan, sir. Captain Blackadder: Really Baldrick? A cunning and subtle one? Private Baldrick: Yes, sir. Captain Blackadder: As cunning as a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University? Private Baldrick: Yes, sir. [another call: "On the signal, Company will advance"] Captain Blackadder: Well, I'm afraid it's too late. Whatever it was, I'm sure it was better than my plan to get out of here by pretending to be mad. I mean, who would have noticed another madman round here? [a whistle blows he looks at Baldrick]
Good find!! Hello South Africa?
Lets hope Nico has a cunning plan.
The Wasted Resource and cost is greater than I thought as the picture shows that we have 3 ATR72 Aircraft all customised for Fastjet sitting on the Tarmac in Toulouse. We need to get them operational Fast, but Where ?

Only can give the info when I get it , its looking good again
fjetcracy, you did indeed say that a few weeks ago - though I am now encouraged by your belief that fastjet will also be given the route (and onwards to JNB as the 'old' flyafrica used to?). If this is indeed correct, any clues as to by when this may happen?
It would seem that Flyafricazim.com has even less optimism about their own future as they have not even registered the name as shown on the letter they sent to the CAAZ namely flyafricazim.com . The Domain Name as shown is not registered and available to purchase. Even the most early stage 1 man band operation would have done this before using the name to secure their future. They are either crazy or not competent.
I mentioned Flyafrica getting Bulawayo some three weeks ago, good news is Im hearing we will both get the route.

In the article in the Exchange it refers to us having Purchased an E190 . Is this a new aircraft or are they referring to the two that we have ?

for competitors.......... https://www.exchange.co.tz/fastjet-reclaims-time-performance/
Not at all , still working on it
Trip we should forget about it.
A good sign that progress is being made, if so. https://twitter.com/Travelport/status/965903970207256577?ref_src=twcamp%5Eshare%7Ctwsrc%5Em5%7Ctwgr%5Eemail%7Ctwcon%5E7046%7Ctwterm%5E3
I see FJET are advertising for Captains, First Officers and Engineers for ERJ145s in Zimbabwe - is this to replace regular churn or to support growth (anyone know)?
At the moment in Tanzania fastjet is back on track, the sad news is that is been block to expand by government there is not much you can do about that just keep trying I guess. I believe we should be close to breakeven.
https://twitter.com/IamMrHaas/status/965538805481697285 Whilst I realise this is via 5th Freedoms, that's not quite the point as CPT was often talked of as a good destination for FJET when the Zimbabwe operation was launched originally.....
