"The exception being organisations which break data protection law in order to take advantage of the pandemic, who will continue to face a ‘strong’ regulatory response from the ICO."
The Data Protection Act 2018 remains the Law. The act itself has not been suspended, its the enforcement of the act that has been relaxed due to the Pandemic ( as has GDPR) across the EU.

Vascular, that was my initial thought that this suspension has to end at some point.
Without getting into politics Big tech have pushed this suspension. I don't think anyone is fighting to get compliance reinstated.
Hope I'm wrong... not just for FDBKs sake but to protect us from big tech.
The Sp is stuck doing nothing, no news since raise...... Come on Tom give us loyal holders some magic news and make the derampers vanish.
Sorry.
I think I posted the wrong link. However the date remains the same 31st March 22
scroll down page

Adrianz.
"As the health and social care system continues to face significant pressures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, NHSX and NHS Digital have taken the decision to extend the compliance deadline for the national data opt-out to 31 March 2022".
I know it has been extended in the past and even if extended for a few months again it s only for a limited period, which i think is the important point.
For a government to move the NHS into the digital age without excellent GDPR would be madness.

Adiranz... You say "There is no need for "CE marked and regulated compliance to various gdpr standards". "- This is due to END shortly NOT to be implemented, hence why hospify is withdrawing. Rules, as the one you have stated were relaxed during covid so staff could use whatsapp hospify etc. but this is about to end making bleepa pretty much the only offering out there. Where once staff could choose to follow the gdpr compliant route or not (due to the pressures of covid) they will now have to use regulated messaging systems.
IB re-read my post you have it backwards.
There is no need for "CE marked and regulated compliance to various gdpr standards".
The regulations have been suspended. NHS can use Whatsapp and Teams and Microsoft have a DICOM viewer.
You've got that completely back to front Adrianz. Bleepa USP is even more apparent now. CE marked and regulated compliance to various gdpr standards. Hospify had none of these hence why they've ceased their offering as it'll no longer comply for government regulations. I think it's good news.
If you haven't just got hold of the wrong end of the stick I'd be intrigued to know why you think it's curtains for bleepa??
Hospify bit the dust because
"of the Government’s decision to suspend relevant terms of the UK 2018 Data Protection Act."
"that industry professionals can freely use non-compliant consumer messaging platforms to communicate without fear of disapproval."
"Without the demands of compliance driving users to our service we have found it impossible – with a few honourable exceptions – to attract sufficient clients and investment to pay our way."
Stupid me wasn't aware of this suspension but surely Tom would have known. Yet for the last two years he's been banging on about this USP that no longer applies. He's misled investors big time.
It's game over for Bleepa.
Thanks Ragnarr.

06/12/2021: We are extending this agreement for up to 12 months, until 19 January 2023. This is so users can continue to buy and sell from the agreement while we work on the replacement: Digital Outcomes 6 (DOS 6).
We intend for DOS 6, to go live in August 2022. Supplier applications to DOS 6 are intended to open around mid January 2022."

There is also a New pre-notice for another Framework agreement for Clinical Communications Tools 2021 for NHS Organisations published on August 2021 with a £125m value. So I assume this will an upgrade on the previous Agreement when it opens.

Anyway getting back to why Hospify failed. Clearly from the initial requirement for hospitals to change from old fashioned Bleepers and WhatsApp, Pando, Hospify and Alertive did quite well but then the Pandemic hit, Govt focus moved elsewhere, and Hospitals were allowed just to carry on as usual. This (I think) has all been to the advantage of FDBK because it has allowed Feedback to fully develop Bleepa with the only accredited imaging capability, Carelocker to integrate records and Bleepa Box to allow truly mobile communication. None of the other two Messaging apps have anything like this capability – they are just messaging Apps
NHS requirements post Covid are not just secure messaging, everything is now looking to be digitally kinked. The pandemic has brought to a head how far behind the system is digitally and with the community Diagnostic centres the need for full mobile communication is obvious.
Sorry its kind of turned into a ramp. Apologies it just started as some info and I got carried away.
Just to finish I took a look at the latest accounts of the others – they aint great.

With the demise of Hospify it got me looking at want competitors there are out there and from what I can find these are
Pando https://hellopando.com (Forward Medical) who also run Juno App https://hellojuno.co.uk specifically for Paediatrics and Midwifery.
Alertive https://alertive.co.uk
Hospify https://www.hospify.com
Siilo https://www.siilo.com
https://hellopando.com
What is clear is that they were all ahead of Bleepa who didn’t realy launch until very late 2019/early 2020. Pando, Hospify and Alertive all launched 2018, whilst Siilo has been going since 2016.
Siilo main marketplace is in Europe who claim to have a quarter of a million users but whilst they have the HNS logo on the website I can find only one actual reference to an NHS hospital – St Georges University Hospital. They are not on any NHS or Govt approved list and in fact issued a paper saying whats wrong with the NHS messaging guidelines https://www.siilo.com/news-and-updates/why-nhs-guidelines-on-mobile-messengers-are-flawed
Hospify has now dissolved as of 31st Jan so that just leaves Alertive and Pando.
Pando and Juno received some bad press earlier this year with security issues and governance issues
https://www.mobihealthnews.com/news/emea/data-security-fears-raised-over-pando-app
https://www.mobihealthnews.com/news/emea/cqc-inspection-finds-juno-app-requires-improvement
There is very little info about Alertive but the along with Siilo and Hospify were included in the Governmeent digital marketplace listings under cloud software https://www.digitalmarketplace.service.gov.uk/g-cloud/search?lot=cloud-software
However this particular link (I think is a cached) beta version form around 2018 as idf ylu go to it now the same info is not there https://www.applytosupply.digitalmarketplace.service.gov.uk
What is interesting is that this now states that – Supplier applications Digital outcomes 6 framework is open and there doesn’t appear to be a search facility.
Anyway its quite clear that Feedback/Bleepa were a year or so behind the game as for example Pando claim to have 65000 users.
Now the latest NHSX Framework list includes feedback, Hospify and Pando but Alertive is not included. This famewwork is set from Aug 2020 – Aug 2022
https://www.nhsx.nhs.uk/key-tools-and-info/procurement-frameworks/clinical-communications-procurement-framework/
looking at tenders on Bidstats there was a Framework agreement for Clinical communications Tools for NHS organisations awarded Oct 2020 and estimated to run til Oct 2023 for a value of £3m ( I remember Tom speaking about this as it was just too small) in which Feedback are listed along with Hospify and 28 other suppliers but no Pando or Alertive.
https://bidstats.uk/tenders/2020/W42/736821325
They were giving away shares at 0.81 for 200k and wanted 0.84 for 400k so bought two lots instead.
Weird market making
Also 800k goes to NT so the placees are keen to hold it seems
Many thanks to all providing the in depth info for us to read.
Thanks to Ragnarr on the other place for this. Could be very good news for trusts (lots of them) looking for alternatives.
