Melody viewer.
Maybe it was an RNS to be used as a bargaining tool?

would agree with that C4.makes sense.
There's numerous plausible explanations for the non-release of the Viewer ahead of Xmas. We don't know the ins and outs of the terms of the agreement with O2, but what we do know is that the 02 promotion includes a MelodyVR subscription and an Oculus headset. So this agreement clearly is between o2, MelodyVR AND Oculus.
Since the MelodyViewer would directly undercut Oculus devices, we might be able to read between the lines and deduce that the agreement is contingent on the Viewer not being released in direct competition to a company there have licensing and now content agreements with.
As a product in beta testing over the summer, we can only assume its been a strategic decision to not directly compete with their most prominent strategic partner. It's likely management have had to assess the opportunity cost of not releasing the viewer versus gains from the continued working relationship with Oculus.
perfectly reasonable to raise the question of the non appearance of the melody viewer.on the face of it it looks disappointing but perhaps it may simply be the result of a change in strategy and emphasis.if melody have decided that the take up of higher end viewers is growing more rapidly than they expected (which seems likely in view of reports of increasing rates of sales and sell outs of certain models) they may have concluded that it is better to seek to preserve their image as a premium product more in keeping with their o2 tie in.just speculation of course and i do agree that a clarification announcement would have been desirable.
Puddin, they have regularly announced lies and misinformation. A sign of immaturity perhaps? Meanwhile it has made me very disappointed, i have been here since 2016 when it was announced that Melody would launch at that Christmas, didn't happen, then finally a "launch" may 2018 with the promise of live sold out shows, didn't happen! matchett told us in a video 10 to 15 releases a month hasn't happened! allypally shows, hasn't happened, Microsoft windows cooperation hasn't happened! and much more, i am just to lazy to go back through all the announcements and RNSs but maybe i am silly because i am still here and still believe but am currently down nearly 40% on my investment.
yes excellent news mel5.its published in the gaming context but obviously has very positive implications for the whole VR scene and clearly shows the direction of travel which is where the real story is imo.
31% improvement year-over-year, nice
VR Hardware sales increase in 2019, the tipping point for MelodyVR is coming soon!

Agree. Looks like they missed the Xmas boat on viewers.
A 5 month miss of a deadline is a big deal. And why announce a lie ?
You view with your eyes, jam sponge
You are correct, there isn’t a MelodyVR device, it was due end of the summer, I have no understanding why AM made the announcement if they didn’t believe they could deliver as this would of complimented the O2 partnership and the release of the latest four artists as was stated four per month would be released. A statement would be good from the BoD to clarify the matter!
Am I wrong ?
It’s nice that you still believe Puddin1006 ??
Anyone seen a viewer from melody .
More likely to see Santa
Spot the lie , what viewer ???
launches iOS/Android Beta and accompanying VR Viewer
EVR Holdings plc (AIM:EVRH), the leading creator of virtual reality entertainment content and operator of the MelodyVR platform, is pleased to announce that it has launched a closed beta of the MelodyVR platform for iOS and Android devices ("the mobile app") as well as a compatible VR device ("the MelodyVR Viewer"), both of which will be made available to consumers this Summer. Introduction
Sharebuy - the answer is pretty simple - MVR didn't have a sufficiently big catalogue to support such a release. Quite rightly, they're currently drip-feeding a few acts, mostly as tempters, until they _know_ they have a big enough catalogue. Once that point starts to match the number of VR consumers _and_ that they can cope with the demand, we'll see this big launch gig everyone is praying for.
We're just lucky to be in at the beginning. Price manipulation seems rife on AIM, but once all the ducks form their row here, there won't be much stopping it. AIM is always a gamble by its very nature, but if the fundamentals of a company are right, (DYOR) then the risks reduce profoundly. There's not been many hiccups, so I'm happy enough to invest and explain myself.
I think the share price is being manipulated goes up to 6 sold into, bring it back to 5 good news back to 6 sold into think this will continue until JG share options are finalised then the world is our oyster
There's nothing like a deadline to focus minds. People keep hinting that there might be a giant event coming soon. With the positive connections that MVR has in this industry, who is to say that companies like O2 aren't gonna sponsor such an event? One good gig could probably enrol their minimum quota in one fell swoop. So the shops are only going to be drip-feeders.
Everything here is still embryonic, but the tipping point isn't far away. As I have said all along, patience is key!
@LowiePete, yes I agree, it's out of EVRH's hands, but I'd have thought the advertisting in O2 would have at least shown a VR headset for 5G deal, or a viewer for the phone - shame we don't know of any companies that said they were going to have a VR viewer ready at the end of summer?
How many people are going to bother to take notice of a big O2 video screen showing the same O2 branding/blue background/bubbles and a couple of small icons - maybe if their was a music event being shown/VR viewer they might stand a better chance.
Themis...
From recent RNS
"O2 will remunerate MelodyVR for each of their customers that utilise the promotion and will guarantee a 'minimum number of subscribers' during the course of the first 12 months. "
From that, it clearly shows that it's up to O2 to find / enrol the subscribers. Nothing can be done by EVRH to improve the situation, other than record more and more attractive content for potential subscribers to enjoy. Isn't that exactly what they're doing? There's no point in being critical of O2, companies like that do things in slow, giant steps.
In view of the SP being below my APS, I see it as a seasonal present to buy a few more. It won't be that long before FB have tired of promoting their telly-spy hardware and come back to extending their VR ambitions. Seems that's quite healthy in the USA anyway. So this share is still a steal. If it drops further by next Tuesday, I'll snaffle a few more.
Why didn’t they launch the app lite in the UK in 2016??? Why has it taken 3 years???
Does the latest a la carte O2 deal include Germany because they know all about MVR it would seem...
Meanwhile back in 2016
https://completemusicupdate.com/article/melodyvr-teams-up-with-telefonica-in-germany/
yes that's true Themis
O2 is one of the providers
Essential push will come through artists and performances
MVR still have to launch a full marketing attack
I think this company is going before nay of that happens
we are nearer to an offer
VR split from Mobile Split perhaps
