Just catching up..
Dontgive, you said that CBD has gone but I found this
https://www.wellsleptbyeve.com/products/the-cbd-oil-camomile-passion-flower
and
https://www.wellsleptbyeve.com/products/the-cbd-oil-ginkgo-biloba-and-ginseng
I haven't tried a dummy-buy but it looks to be available in different sizes.
Also, Morphee is back in stock (hurrah) https://www.evesleep.co.uk/products/the-morphee-sleep-aid
Typical, as soon as I write that TP hasn’t updated…
https://uk.trustpilot.com/review/www.evesleep.co.uk/transparency
A relatively high number of reviews (good), but unfortunately high number of poor reviews too (many customer service and delivery problems of course).
Hi dontgive, I’m still away and not checking the evesleep site but they must be focussing on the mattresses and beds with the people that they have. Makes sense I guess. TP still not ‘updated’ (when I checked yesterday) in two weeks so they must have stopped paying for the ‘extras’.
At least A. Rosenthal is putting his money where his belief rests.
Any thoughts ( as I imagine you have noticed D-G) about the amount of EVE product lines disappearing from the EVE website?
I think it began with the CBD oils and now virtually all the baby products have gone and the bed linen is gone too?
From my recollection of the FSP RNS, eve would be under no obligation to tell us anything if potential suitors walk away but they are under an obligation to tell us if eve terminates talks (and why). That said, they must have a Plan B (of some sort) and will announce it if there are no realistic chances of a takeover and will spin their Plan B as well as they possibly can - even if it’s dire for us holders. (Pergaps it won’t sound too dire, maybe it’ll even sound good to some of us optimists.)
I also have some 4D pharma shares and they have gone into administration. this illustrates the sort of fees that the accountants would charge. A buyer thinking that they can pick up even out of administration for a lower price than now is also going to face the reality of a lot of money having disappeared to pay the accountants. It would be quite a spur (that, and not losing a good customer reputation) to work out a deal now rather than out of admin.
This is from 4D RNS of a few weeks ago. Their meter will still be running;
‘ From the date of our appointment to 28 July 2022, we have incurred time costs of £580,488. These represent 876.65 hours at an average rate of £662.12 per hour.’
(I wrote a similar post to this last night but it failed to appear. maybe it will now so sorry for any repetition)
Geeman, agree - as long as there is still one interested party and talks with them are ongoing there will not be an RNS.
If all parties walk away though and there are no talks going we should hear about it and hopefully if that happens we will also hear about plan B in the same RNS.
Personally, I believe the talks are ongoing and something will come out of it hopefully at a good price. Fingers crossed.
Im pretty sure that eve would announce if (and why) they pull out of talks but if an interested party walks away (there was at least one interested party) then we wouldn’t be told. So it could be that, today, there are no talks. Fingers crossed there are talks.
If a party walked away it would actually be quite a negative bit of news so we don’t have that overhanging eve. (Remember the US entity that lost interest? We remarked at the time that it was a negative part of the RNS and need not / should not have been included.)
Wyn, no news DOES MEAN talks are ongoing … period.
If nobody is looking in then they have to RNS as is price sensitive. They will be breaking the AIM rules if they don’t.
Indeed. Its as simple as that!
Easily dealt with. Documented for all readers. Its my opinion something is more likely to be happening than nothing. You disagree. Bosh.
Alan Rosenthal is confident. Now this could mean nothing. He could be a billionaire and has invested 0.02% of his portfolio in EVE.
Again, I tend to disagree with this ultimately cynical view. I believe AR continuing to buy as an already 1% holder reflects a modicum of positivity. AR believes in EVE and hes put his money here his mouth is.
Although I am invested so confirmation bias is real! Lead us to the promised land Alan ha
By the looks at it a Formal Sale Process significantly reduces the reporting requirements that would normally surround any talks that may or may not be ongoing. I would suggest no inference should be taken either way from lack of news.
Its also fair to assume that any serious offeree would only have started considering an offer in the past month or so, something that would include Due Diligence, board meetings and significant time wasted in internal communications.
Its also worth noting that the reason for this process is to attract significant investment, more than they could attract via standard dilution based fund raising, to allow them to expand internationally. Hardly a case of being distressed sellers with no option but to sell.
Like I said I literally own 28,888 shares here so already spent more time reading up about EVE than its worth, but still very interesting case study. Worth reading:

ping, I understand these are your views, thats fine...You say its logical that no news means talks are ongoing, I don't . Thats all.
Oh absolutely DG
I think the DD process from both parties will be more sizeable than the sort of DD I do on Ebay when buying something! ha. The whole due diligence, research and negotiation process will take some time.
I supposed with NDAs involved then bidders arent public knowledge meaning the other companies wont (shouldnt) know who might be in for EVE (whether entirely or an equity stake).
Thee is no fixed deadline - but if you truly want EVE you wouldnt want to dawdle and it gets bought out from under your nose before you have made a move.
I just wish they'd get on with it! ha
‘ If no one has come in for EVE now then they never will.’
I’m not sure that’s true. But like eBay, two or three bidders wait till this last minute - or the auction just has no bidders. Unlike eBay there is no fixed deadline, just a ticking clock to zero bank balance.
If we have one bidder and a low price is announced for holders to vote on, it definitely does not prevent a higher bid coming in.
Be nice to hear something of a bid, of any sort.
Of course talks could have fallen through. This is always on the table. Hopefully we (investors) get to know soon!
I just feel EVE will be doing all they can to secure some capital as well as implementing it with plan of action to reduce fixed costs, marketing outlay etc.
JHFH good to see you over here. As long as you are happy with losing the lot then just sit back and see what happens.
If no one has come in for EVE now then they never will. No one’s waiting three months before making a move. We know they were in talks with a small number of interested parties (I’m going 2). Conversely you’d imagine some sort of talks are likely if the FSP process hasnt been concluded.
Why do you have to make it so difficult for everyone to post?
I’m posting my views! They’re very simple. I don’t need to write a 2,000 word dissertation! I think it’s fairly logical based on what we know personally!!
I guess Ping, as EVE are not going to give out an RNS every day, saying "no interest today" then if, if, no interest is forthcoming a statement will be made via and included in, a trading update.
Equally they could be in advance negotiations with a company... I just don't see how the silence leans more one way or the other
Don’t we get a ‘no deal’ update? Or an FSP concluded?
" Certainly more chance of something positive taking a longer while than a ‘no deal’...."
Huh?
If there is no deal so far, then obviously there would be no news... so how do you figure that to mean it more likely a deal is going on in the background?
Really, just asking...
Im in for 28k (shares NOT pounds), Pingu likes it and thats good enough for me :-) That and the fact that given how many of their adverts I see on TV and the fact I see the products and name everywhere lets me know this current mCap is a bit of a joke!
I am well aware there is some debt and not everything is guaranteed but like mr penguin said, why the F would a big chain want to risk their supply chain crashing over the sake of pocket change to them? Anyway, TEENY buy from me at 0.90, just for a bit of fun but still expect to do well here, good luck all :-)
Exactly stxx
Admin is a last resort. I’ve taken it off the table from my view as a tactical play.
Surely some news should be due soon? How many weeks have they had now?
Hopefully it’s a sign that the time is being used to positively. Certainly more chance of something positive taking a longer while than a ‘no deal’. Imo of course.
But the supply chain, returns, repairs etc will just stop if they go into admin won’t it? Who’s gonna wanna buy it after that for example?
If you (bigger fish) want the products and distribution then you have to buy it pre admin surely to continue things smoothly and ruin the brand for the customers?
Hi D, Hope you had a nice holiday.
The only observation I would make is that the "good product" will still be a good product whether or not the SP goes up or the company no longer trades on the stock market.
‘ Are the reasons you bought EVE in the first place still valid now? ’
Wyn, oddly enough, for me, nothings changed. Good product (our holiday mattress is defo not as good as the Original eve at home!) and the share seems not to reflect that.
How it will turn out is another thing entirely. Without knowing what’s inside the minds of people who can influence events we are simply hoping our long-odds bet pays off.
Incidentally, (and talking of loss-making companies) I’m well down on RUA but they put out a RNS yesterday that shows some promise in their medical grafts. Probably several years before great news though, if ever.
If you mean COPL yea that’s crap. Nice new account btw
Wyn, fair enough. I will not continue with this as I don’t want to clutter the board.
Now, another TR-1 RNS:

Alan is still buying EVE, he is up to 1.5% now. Here is one guy who is very confident in EVE’s prospects and I think I agree with him.
