In fact, according to Volkswagen, "Lithium will in the near future be one of the most sought-after raw materials on earth.

Thanks Fingers. My interest was because I own shares in a couple of junior miner dogs that I'm losing 60-90% on and had hoped it might be one of them. But it's not.
Here you go ant
Russia’s state-run nuclear group Rosatom has signed a preliminary agreement to buy up to 51 per cent of a Chilean lithium project in return for supplies of the mineral. Rosatom’s mining subsidiary Uranium One on Tuesday signed a memorandum of understanding with Canada’s Wealth Minerals that gives it the right to buy a stake in the 46,200 hectare lithium project in the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. The deal gives Rosatom access to major deposits of lithium that are dissolved in brine beneath the Atacama Desert. Chile is the second-largest producer of lithium and has the largest reserves in the world, but it has been slow to develop new deposits even though the mineral is ever more in demand for batteries for electric cars and mobile phones. Wealth Minerals is trying to extract lithium from the brine without using the usual method of solar evaporation, which takes about 18 months and uses large ponds in the Atacama Desert. The company said that Uranium One had a processing technique that used a catalyst material to extract lithium, avoiding the need for solar evaporation. “Partnering with Uranium One will help Wealth accelerate the development of lithium projects by using modern technology and moving away from outdated solar evaporation to a more efficient and environmentally friendly?.?.?.?technology,” said Tim McCutcheon, president of Wealth Minerals. Rosatom said it was interested in lithium-related projects “as part of the supply chain of the exponentially growing sustainable energy sector. We use lithium as a raw material in our production and high value-added manufacturing so integration into lithium mining is an organic step forward.” Uranium One is one of the world’s largest uranium producers, with operations in Kazakhstan, the US, Tanzania and elsewhere. Atacama will be its first lithium project but its “mining expertise, the technology they have and the group’s involvement in the energy space as a whole” made it a suitable partner, said Mr McCutcheon. The latest MoU builds on one signed in 2017 between Rosatom and the Chilean Commission of Nuclear Energy to promote co-operation in the nuclear and lithium sectors in Chile, including on technology to extract lithium and turn it into products. While Chile had previously invited overseas companies to co-operate on manufacturing battery components to capitalise on demand for electric vehicles, Uranium One’s involvement is meant to advance the production of the basic material necessary for the manufacturing. Attempts by lithium-ion battery makers to “backwards integrate” by becoming involved in production did not yield many operational synergies, Mr McCutcheon said, because battery makers generally did not have as much expertise in resource development. The value of any deal is undisclosed and still subject to approval. If approved, it provides for Uranium One to buy 100 per cent of production. I can't read that as it's behind a paywall. Does it say who it is they're buying it from?
Let the take over wars begin :
Russia’s Rosatom looks to buy 51% of giant Chilean lithium mine
Now that will put a ghost up any one needing Lithium !!!!!!!!!! wooooooo hooooooo

I think he is in Europe Lawrence H , seems to happen every time he is over there . Now what would he be doing there unless some signatures were needed ?
The balls on my dog are starting to twitch Fingersxed, he could be getting ready to run lol lol ?
2 days on the trot for OZ, has KC been seen out and about over there ?
OZ up another 6.67 % ( 17 p ) must be some whispers out .
We are indeed some way from that. But... with CEZ being in effect the Czech govt, and given the right investment, which might appear rather sooner with CEZ on board, things could proceed much faster than one might expect conventionally. And anyway, production simply has to coincide with the demand that will appear circa '2 or '22 as giga factories and EV manufacturing come on line.
So I think it's a bit of a red herring to worry about how long we have to production. It's all lining up nicely in this regard as far as I can see.
"Once EMH get to mining and processing this things should be on the up" --- Rather a pointless statement its like saying if I put 4 gallons instead of 2 gallons of fuel in my car I can go twice as far !
At the moment we are miles away from mining and processing unless I've missed something..
Once EMH get to mining and processing this things should be on the up regarding actual need for the product be that Carbonate or Hydroxide, just a matter of getting DFS and the finance , then a clear time line could be arrived at, which IMO will be right on cue for supplying the European Giga factories , be it Tesla, VW or any others who are building in Europe.Battery manufacturers or car manufacturers who want to make their own batteries like Tesla , we could be on time to produce for any of them at the right time .
Great to see OZ up this morning 30 cents or 16.04p but it would be even better to see that buy order of 245,700 shares up his / her offer to 35 cents lol lol
Great to see some positivity returning
Buyers lurking at cheap end , new buy order for 245,700 shares at 27 cents ( 14p )
Smell something good on the horizon .
