Fella, don't take it heart, I'm really not hat bothered and I'm not going to waste effort on your spat with someone else.....I just don't believe all your success !
Sorry hereandnow - always respected your opinion. You don't believe a word of it? If you read my posts like 4kandles has then you would at least see it is possible. You would read the post of switching my entire ISA to RRE on the Friday afternoon before delisting too. I don't have to make anything up but I won't accept shorter talking it down and trying to remove the maths. I hope I've misunderstood you but not too fussed either way. 4kandles ignored the maths - wonder why? Check his 12th Sep post saying he takes TW shorting advice seriously.
riptonk...that is v funny...don't believe a word of it!
4kandles - had to go a long way back for some of those didn't you? You are right about some trades of which I would not repeat and Frr is definitely the standout example. I would just like to correct you with some points though. I got out of AEG for a miraculous 20% loss two years ago. ALBA was bought at 27p and sold at 62p which was the ultimate high - very proud of that one. UKOG bagged from 1p to 2p, AAOG was B/E, Angus was bought at 6p and sold at 15p. This year I have only been in RRE at 80% of my pf when delisting happened and I moved into Eco before Jethro so I'm sitting at around 500% for the year. I also have minor holdings in ARB and PTAL. When I exit shares I don't revisit BB's out of respect for shareholders and I never short. I'm a real character aren't I?!
Trendz
They make the market work so if buyers are below the ask they will drop this to get nearer the bid. Would never suggest they do this to accomplish large trades af lower prices in order to increase commission.
riptonk, I have no idea what rules your "trading direction" but looking at some of the stocks you've been historically promoting I'm not sure whether to be alarmed or amused. Maybe both...
AAOG, FRR, AEG, ALBA, etc - these are (were) all obvious AIM dogs which have been hyped and lost money for most hapless punters who've owned them. FRR you seemed to have pumped all the way down to zero. It was a total loss.
There are some characters around here! :-)
Sorry, what I meant to say is that the mms are conniving, the SP is going lower because there are more buyers than sellers and the mms have no regard to supply and demand. Apologies for my ignorance
Sorry, *completely*
@Trendz
"Trust me, they are not conniving to screw retail SHers over. "
Incorrect.
" The SP is low because there are more sellers than buyers - full stop. "
This is totally incorrect.
"they are simply reflecting the supply and demand for Eco stock..."
This is completaly incorrect.
Yes, just profit taking, should be okay for xmas.
I see a lot of posts blaming market makers for the SP. Trust me, they are not conniving to screw retail SHers over. The SP is low because there are more sellers than buyers - full stop. They will have strict rules as to how many shares they can hold and they are simply reflecting the supply and demand for Eco stock...
Somebody wants our shares and the MMs will clearly want to facilitate those buys. I'm no market expert far from it, but are they not trying to flush the buys post Jethro result..and if that doesn't free up enough will they try the bounceback rate of 120p? Gill/Brokers/Malcy/many on here are all right, the share is hugely undervalued currently. If you have the money slice your fingers off and catch that knife as long as you're looking to hold for a year or so for real value!
Frustrating to see it up and down like, well pick your phrase.
Agree with the post regarding the actual value here and the potential still to accrue. Details on the expected Carapa results would be good. Tullow have a trading update on 13 Nov - this may be rolled into a CMD type day which they dont currently have scheduled I notice.
I'd expect by then theyd want to know drill plans, have rig secured and be in position to drill early in 2020. They need to prove up to farm out.
There is the new CPR also.
Fair value must be closer to 300-350p now when one considers the prospects above the discoveries already made.
I do wonder if a market to entice buyers at 217p was made on Monday by MMs with lots buying in expecting a further boost and from there down to 190p people who bought for a quick churn are now on a loss and selling out. With MMs using a low price to mop up their shares cheaply and keeping it low to push the sales.
Believe strongly in the value case - much of the review of results will be done for Tertiary while waiting for Carapa news and I dare say some re-interpretation on a broad base of potential Carapa outcomes will be under way also. Gil did mention the boys are working on it already.
Thanks for your input but I know which one rules my trading direction.
