ranger, to be fair WT is quite knowledgeable which is part of the reason i cannot understand the outbursts, anyone that has worked in the industry understands timescales change even in the best of times, add to this the current covid issue and restrictions in Argentina, echos limited financial options and the fact MH is doing his best (as far as i can see) to dig us out of the hole FM left us in i think most would see todays RNS as a positive, we all want news, we all want the sp to soar but being realistic that is unlikely for a while yet, for myself i think todays RNS shows we are headed in the right direction.

Working at Tesco a petrol station for the passed 20 years does count as working in oil and gas for decades....
There are plenty of dead woods furloughed for the passed few months with plenty time on their hands. (before the Welsh Witch pitches in I'm retired) sadly they are cutting well into the bone now. so he may be one of those unlucky ones , last in first out.
Wizard, maybe you could rustle up some of your magical powers and add a good dollop of your decades of experience in oil & gas and fill in the blanks for us, i would have thought this would be a breeze for you, per chance are you one of the thousands of oil workers that have been paid off recently, i only ask as the last few months you have been like a bear with a "sair heid", excuse the doric.
Another scraping the bottom of the barrel (lol!!) RNS.
No Palermo Aike news?
Nothing on the seismic "anomaly" that was found?
Nothing on "incoming" equipment and personnel?
Nothing on workovers?
Nothing on Tapi Aike?
Bolivia?
Effects of Covid - 19 on operational matters in Argentina.
Oil & Gas production numbers?
Buying gas compression and "thinking about" opening up a presumably knackered old well.
We really have to consider what HAS NOT BEEN SAID, rather than these RNS's that have little or no significance to our bottom line. I have no problem with being optimistic, just give me something substantial to get excited about.
These last 2 RNS's are dross, plain and simple!!

Overall positive imo
I guess as we were told reference Tapi Akai many historic wells had indications/testing of gas shows, but in the 80's oil was the prize, hence many abandoned. These wells are now favourable for gas production but would obviously require re-testing to prove 1p reserves and the viability of commerciality.
Massively reduced costs as they are drilled and so I guess WO to clean them out, possible fracking and local infrastructure to distribute via pipe or truck.
Plenty of irons in the fire but we need some real positive news.
Cash flow one of the biggest concerns going forward....
I just keep asking myself where is all the money coming from for these projects, plus loan repayments.
A 36 year old well using even older 3D data which was abandoned, I don't think you are cynical. I get the same feelings with used car salesmen.
Looks like they are trying to squeeze all the small farts to come up with something commercially viable rather than anything big enough to lift the SP over a few hours.
Isn't there another company looking at the bottled gas idea to keep investors interested?
Looks like it may have been Geopark that drilled monte aymond well, all in all a reasonable update from echo which makes me feel a bit better regards our future, will be much happier when an RNS hits saying we are producing.
Fair enough, think you're right. Call me a cynical old fart then for not seeing that despite reading it twice.
I read it that it was the then joint venture partners not us, or did I read that wrong. If that was the case they have just studied the old files on the asset and deciding the best way to proceee
Rather than calling me a deramper, call me a cynical LTH. " is pleased to announce the completion of an initial assessment"...but nothing suggests they completed this now, rather last year. They then say they've started a feasibility study.
Don't get me wrong, glad to have the comms, but can't quite figure out why they couldn't announce the completion of their initial assessment last year when they did it. This is just a holding RNS to me to at least tick the box to say they are communicating with the shareholders. And I guess I'm OK with that, as long as there are more coming and they're not going to have to keep dressing up last years work as this years.
Looking at gross cost of concept from 2019 and 3 month payback, looking at $2.28M PA, does that consider opex of that well.
Makes me wander if one of the compressors we purchased capable of compressing the gas to the state requires.
Interesting that also the possibility of a hub for both projects.
I was only 24hours out, not what I was expecting, mid term accounts should be soon
would be good to know the plume in Monte Aymond as that would help give us a value on the well.
looks like there are going for safer low risk projects and building up from that.
would rather they spend £1-5 million over the next year on projects that will actually add value t the company rather than spending the same money on high risk projects that are more likely to fail.
Agreed, all sounds very positive and more than suggests campo limite will be commercial, plus it throws Monte Aymond well into the pot,
Interesting read. By the way they have worded that rns they are expecting campo drill to be successful as well.
Just need to get everything in to action so we can starting turning a profit.
Waiting for the derampers to pop in now...
