Looks like everyone wants a slice of the pie.
This is a vhs vs Betamax moment
IBM are also into blockchain tec too
Coca-Cola Vs Pepsi!
Coca-Cola came first and rolled out far enough that Pepsi never quite caught up!
However, beta vs VHS was simply a matter that more people had VHS and it got to the point where the industry had to choose.
Essentially they did the same thing but beta we more expensive
Now, in this case- it seems that both systems essentially do two different things.
The IBM platform USP is to read patents and figure out how to replicate that! (As I understand it).
Where as DigitalGlassware takes all the readings of a reaction and replicates the formula. In addition DigitalGlassware allows you to cut the labour intensiveness of building complex molecules (where I can't really see the IBM system quite doing that)
As far as the chemputer side the idea would be to have one in every pharamacy in order to 3D print precise medication.
This could be a game changer for the ability to tailor treatment to the individual patient!
This is a game changer and would allow advances in medicine from the point of view of treatment.
Another thought is that of Orphan mendications/illnesses that are currently not addressed or under servixed because the drug companies find them to be to expensive to develop for the current markets
Manufacturing, sticking, selling and distribution is expensive and this technology would cut all that out, this making more treatments available for those patients.
At this point it would be interesting to see what patents protect which system!
So, if they are two different tools doing two different things or is one and the other basically the same and which would have more useful features and which one would allow real world to do more, then price would come into it as well.

Great detailed post :)
What are you thoughts on Dmtr revenue over the next couple of years?
I’m off out for dinner with the wife now, and I will leave my dog and bone at home
Speak later
Cheers :)
OB!
I hope you have a good Sunday Dinner! The kids and the Mrs are out ND I am here with the dogs watching old Gabriel Iglesias videos (in stitches)
As far as DMTR is concerned it is dificult to put a figure on it, but can say this (imo).
Each license costs $25-$100k/yr (£20-£80k'ish)
So, if you get a few of the big Pharma's to take up 50-100 licenses this would be somewhere between £1m- £80m, per pharma.
However I would think that they would want to trial it and see what kind of result they get in order to extrapolate the true benefit to their company.
So, I would imagine that the big boys would initially start with somewhere between 4-20 licenses and then evaluate and roll it out.
There are also smaller Pharma's that would be interested because on one hand they would have a smaller budget but then if this saves them time and money, it would be a no briñer if they get pharmaceutical from discovery, development, trial ND to market.
Now, I would imagine that the company might have to give some kind of sweetener in order to get this in more labs faster (such as discounts or upgrades)
There is also Covid and how this technology is probably of more interest and demand, so (shooting from the hip and not having important details).
If I had to guess it would be somewhere between $2m-$10m
That's my guestimate based on previous and extensive sales experience.
If we get more, than happy days but anything between £1.6m- £8m would where id say!
This is just an opinion so hope it helps!
Morning max
Dinner out was very nice indeed, we are off out again today on good old rishi...Italian :)
I don’t think people will be calling him “good old rishi soon” :( I was having a read yesterday about some of his proposals, anyone with a bit of money will be targeted... so I’m ok lol
As for Dmtr I see it being a slow and steady year or two, then hopefully it will build like pushing a snow ball down the hill, fingers crossed
:)
Afternoon riddler
I would love to be as wrong as wrong can be :)
Where do you see the share price at the end of this year? also in 12 months?
:)
Hi OB/Riddler,
Covid is the difference here and in this type of industry, I would not be surprised if things are further along than initially planned!
Covid has made the matured the need and now a greater understanding of this and as a result, I can see a greater demand than where we would otherwise have been!
Just a thought, but I would imagine that we will soon hear from the company
Not be pedantic but perhaps yes I am , anyway. Beta tapes were a lot bigger as was the unit to play them on. VHS didn't look as cumbersome under your Ferguson Telly.
Beta cassettes were actually smaller than VHS.
The quality was.
even better, but what killed beta were two major factors
1) cost of the units! Sony betamax's players were much more expensive than the VHS's
2) a VHS cassette had .ore speeds and you could record for up to 6hrs (although do seem to remember the quality suffered for longer recordings)
But to be fair beta did have a market for professional use.
We had both but I remember that movies started being released more in VHS format than in beta! I guess that was to do with more people buying the VHS machines purely on cost and as a result more market for content.
I remember as a kid/teenager going down to the video shop and renting movies! That was a great night in or with friends!
Likewise but that was due to the cost of the videos if I remember right the top films were over £100 even average films were £80 but those were the days, life was more satisfying as it was less demanding compared with today
That shows how expensive they were as in the northeast that would've been a big chunk toward a deposit on a house, lol!
My wife only paid £25k for her first house in 1999, lol
Riddler
I could live with 10-15p sp....if my other shares come up trumps I may be tempted to invest more here
Max
Houses are so much cheaper up north, in 1991 myself and the ex-wife purchased our first house, a tiny 2 bed end of terrace £59250 it was crippling, I think our mortgage rate was close to 15%
Just imagine if the average U.K. mortgage went up to that level now :((
My son has just purchased a house with a £190,000 mortgage but the interest rate is only 1.76% ish, I got him to fix it for 5 years
I had an 8 track in one of my old cars, loved it ....
You were very posh having a video player max, we were so poor we had to have baked beans for tea, as we could not afford bubble bath....
:)
My father worked very hard only to die a year after retiring! But, he did like his electronics.
I remember he had a quadraphonic stereo in the 70's (basically dolby effect) with four speakers that were placed each in a corner of a square room. If you sat in the middle of the four speakers it really emersed you in the sound, but it was only a small sweet spot!
I think people find money for the things they find important to them: caravens, cars, holidays....
Now as far as DMTR is concerned . I think that we have a big advantage as a company.
As companies take up the technology, they will input and build many hours of experiments that will have to be redone if they changed to another system.
This in my opinion is the advantage of being one of the first (if not the first).
I can only imagine that once a pharma adopts a system, they would be very reluctant to change and this is where Deepmatter must at all cost maximize this window and the current collaborations!
I have to agree, it’s very unlikely anyone would want to change and start over again, once up and running, That’s a very good point! .....
Do you agree 10-15p by Christmas? If it is I will treat myself to some bubble bath
:)
OB 10-15p by Christmas is doable! More is also possible, but it all depends on news.
I have heard Phizzer mentioned as a possible deal as well, buy again until it's rns'd it's only hear say!
I have however been told by the company that a lot is happening, so I take that as positive sign.
The trick in my opinion as mentioned earlier is to roll this out to as many Pharma's as possible to increase it's chances of becoming an industry standard!
If you can get it to the point where Pharma's recognized Deepmatter products as a "must have", then we are certainly onto a very big winner!
Pointless post strife, I’ve said and done nothing wrong to you. What happened to SYME being 20% down today, utter clown!
Mornington take no notice you’ve always been pleasant and informative as far as I’m concerned. Good Luck
Thanks orhyblue, good luck to you too in all your investments.
My £4047.00 buy from this morning is showing as a sell!!
Orhy- all that means is that you bought under the mid point between the bid and ask- so you got a got them cheap, well done!
